What's up with gamers wanting 3090s. It's marginally faster than the 3080 yet at a way higher premium. Most of the VRAM during gaming will go to waste unless you're future proofing.
@@PeteKay Not really as it was first come first serve and he was the first one to get it. I find it disgusting when the less fortunate complains about the fortunate. The only reason why people don't have a video card because they're too ignorant to go out and get one themselves. Takes a little effort but they're available.
he was most likely worried about compatibility, say he does buy 2 seperate packs of 3800 spd all 4 sticks may not run at that speed but since he bought a 4 pack they're basically guaranteed compatible all together. It's a small chance you'll get a variation in speeds if you're buying ram that's not all in on kit.
@@rodneyrogers1319 yea, I see ur point. Only reason I bring that up is, I had the exact same choice, and bought two 32gb ram sets instead of one 4 stick set. Because it was cheaper, so I could get a higher speed. And it worked out fine, so I wanted to call him out for that
I second @@rodneyrogers1319 on this. RAM kits actually advertise speeds for the memory that's in that one kit only. So if it says 8GB x2 (16GB total) rated for 3600MHz, that speed will only work for those two 8GBs in that one kit. If you add another of that same kit (to make 8GB x2 + 8GB x2), chances are it's not going to run at the advertised speeds, even if both 8GBs x2 kits says it runs at 3600MHz. Basically, if you're planning to have all the 4 RAM slots filled up, it's better to get a set of 4 RAM kit because the advertised speed would be more accurate.

Not how RAM works. Even if they were the exact same brand, model, speed, CAS latency, etc, there’s no guarantee that they will work perfectly with each other. Even if the machine posts, it’s unlikely that the RAM will be running at full speed or the most reliable it can be.
@@Samuel.55 dont talk when dont know haha. obviously they need to be same speeds, and they should have same latency and stuff to be sure to work without problem, but could easily get them to work otherwise too. Your so lucky getting all the parts for free for that pc build! Congratulations!
I remember the days when getting a graphics card was realistically possible... glad i built my pc before the 3000 series cards came out and the entire market went to shit :)
GG bro respect for not being crazy like me and tearing open my body because i can’t find one in stock
Same here. Got my Strix 2070 Super a month or 2 before the 30 series was announced. After it was announced. I was debating if i should sell my card or not. Glad i didnt

Ever since I fractured my spine I've been so bored that I've been dreaming about building my own pc like this. Great build and Great job MicroCenter! Great Vid!
Imagine being in line all night at Microcenter to get a GPU and then you didn't get to buy one with money because they would rather GIVE the last one away to Kyle.
Suckers lmao
it wasnt the last one tho lmao

1000%, just building another pc that’ll sit in the corner and not be used with parts we’d all kill for. Mind blowing
If he didn't grab the only 5950 and 3090 in stock instead of the more available parts... but no, i couldn't afford those things anyway. So better bitwit then some Miner or scalper.
Exactly , I wonder how many GPUs he has laying down in his office
@@dbald2525 I swear if I were in his position I'd be giving away 90 percent of the shit I build because after the video is done, I don't need it anymore and someone else does. But people like me and anyone else who thinks that way will never be in that position to help others like that.
Yup and I love how he decided to mock all the people that can't get those parts several times in this video
I love that the guy checking him out is wearing a LTT shirt
I love watching things that I can't afford.

As someone who doesn't have a Micro center near them. This looks like heaven.

no shit
they all will be watching him taking the gpu and then together sobbing

*a guy walks with a shopping cart seconds later*
I think it was an employee
some poor gamer missed his chance on getting that 3090 at MSRP.
No way that was MSRP on a shelf right now.
What's up with gamers wanting 3090s. It's marginally faster than the 3080 yet at a way higher premium. Most of the VRAM during gaming will go to waste unless you're future proofing.
The video card is nowhere near MSRP as it's been shitting on the shelf for days anyway like the 5950X was.
@@jamesm568 does it really matter?
@@PeteKay Not really as it was first come first serve and he was the first one to get it. I find it disgusting when the less fortunate complains about the fortunate. The only reason why people don't have a video card because they're too ignorant to go out and get one themselves. Takes a little effort but they're available.
The Days where Jarred was still working for Micro Center. Fun times
Dude, instead of getting two of the 3600 ram, he gets the kit that has 4 sticks, but is slower :/
@cynical yea ik that, but two of the 3600 ram would have the same capacity, and overclock higher
he was most likely worried about compatibility, say he does buy 2 seperate packs of 3800 spd all 4 sticks may not run at that speed but since he bought a 4 pack they're basically guaranteed compatible all together.
And it worked out fine, so I wanted to call him out for that
@@vipercraft4426 if you want the 128, a paired kit will almost always OC higher than an unpaired kit.

Mixed feelings about this, there are allready not many components and they are very expensive but Microcenter is giving it away for some promotion.
And how many 3090's did you allready have at the office?
They will make 2x times more profit after this video.and If they would just have a sponsorship on a video only then it cost already around 10k or more now it only cost 6k . This is cheaper and fun way to sponsor a huge channel.
@@0kiritokun0blszzz58 they won't make much more money though because all of their gpus and such will be sold out as soon as those doors open, if it were a year and a half ago yes this sponsorship makes sense or after this shortage
@Michael sharp so what? If people want it they would already have been sold. Just that normal people doesn't have money for it. It doesn't mean that youtubers can't have it bruh. Life is unfair. You can't blame youtubers for normal people beeing poor af and can't afford the graphic cards. And they did not get for free. His channel sponsorship is worth 10k per sponsor or more. But i too could feel the salt when he grabbed that 3090 and the last 5950x.
Im happy at least someone gets to live the dream of going to microcenter on drop day one hour before anyone else, with an unlimited card.
But this video genuinely made me sad, being unable to get one for this long now.
I will have a heart attack with all these effects while building it
I like how when he was choosing his memory he wanted a kit with four sticks when he could've just gotten two kits with two sticks of memory.
Brand doesn't really matter, but sure, take even that the same so guarantee no problems. If you've got all that, they will work perfectly together. Even if different model and even speed, will just run at the slowest.
@@Samuel.55 I bought two kits of 2x8 GB Gskill Tridentz RGB and they work perfectly fine together. They even run at their rated speed of 3200 MHz, but thanks for letting me know.
