This is probably one of the craziest speedruns I’ve ever seen. Everything was timed so perfectly and the amount of planning and memorization you must have done. It’s speedruns like these that make me remember how much work one can do.

I remember I would always keep 3 captains around at all times on my first 2 playthroughs. But every other playthrough I would split tasks to the other 2 captains for multitasking.

My best 100% run is a 11 Day, No Deaths, Gamepad Classic Controls run. I just can’t pull off the sequence break in the Garden of Hope before the Quaggled Mireclops. The Gamepad doesn’t have as much range as the Wii Remote. My best Any% is a 7 Day, Zero Deaths run.
Wouldn't the sequence break also be a glitch, while throwing someone across an incompleted gap in a bridge is a sequence break? Just asking. Nice job on your run though, my best is 15 days but I have never been able to pull off any sequence breaks or glitches.
@@danielschwab4281 I don't call that a glitch, the developers decided to include pikmin that can fly. We only exploit that ability to sequence break everything.

Pikmin 4 was announced but if someone said that this is Pikmin 4 to people who are unaware about the Pikmin series, I'd guess they'd believe it. Pikmin 3 still looks incredibly good in 2022, so many years later.
Speed was good and definitely alot of clever tricks used, particularly in boss battles. But the casualties made me cringe, I could never do that to my soliders. They just give too much to justify it. In my opinion being a good leader consists efficiency measured in speed productivity and minimizing waste all weighted together.

Now that the audience for this game is all adults I wonder if we ever see the epilogue to this trilogy where the Pikmin, who were meticulously taught the arts of hunting and warfare, consume their home planet's ecosystem and wash over the galaxy in their spacefaring onions as a devouring swarm?
It's galactic date, not Earth's date they use a different calendar than us. Plus Pikmin is confirmed to happen far, far in the future since the continents formed the Pangea which is theorized to happen on Earth 250 millions years from now.
Seeing all your minor behaviour errors, like walking in the wrong direction after switching captains or not immediately throwing the right amount of pikmin to carry something, and the fact that the sand worm isn’t a quick kill even in a speedrun, is honestly really reassuring.
Can someone explain why you dont just go ahead and collect the strawberries around 13:15 or some other point during day 2? Seems like there is adequate time while plucking all the Pikmin.
i know this was 9 months ago but watch the deluxe all fruit run. The routing changes are fuckinf my insane and if you can believe it, the wraith is defeated infinitely faster.

It absolutely does require you to bring the fruits to the ship. It's just that in the early game, there isn't much point in bringing the fruits since you must go back to the levels anyway post saving louie and getting the blue pikmin.

Sadly, due to the change on how lockon works in Deluxe, this fruit can no longer be cheesed by wings.
Yes you can, I just tried it in Deluxe and it works. You just have to lock on and charge from really far back or they will get stuck on the wall
