Good to see a politician speaking straight and not just say he has all the answers. It’s going to be a big job to sort out the decline of the last 14 years. Let’s hope he is up to it.

We don’t really need a Government at all if they cannot look after the public’s interests. I always believed that they were in Westminster to represent us. If they spoke more often to the people they might learn an awful lot.

We need to be real here, tax cuts was not the solution. If cost of living drops that makes up for tax increases which are more minor. Private care is no solution. We have a system that still runs well enough to work. To make it work better we need people being treated and putting up hospitals as quick as flats. I’ve seen private flats goes up in 6 months. Existing hospitals if upgraded in 6-12 months in a phased plan will provide relief at the higher healthcare level. It will also allow efficiencies to costs from old hospitals built 1900-1980. From GPs reviews will reveal patterns on what can be done better. Most likely it’s equipping GPs to be able to deliver some hospital services and having drop in services again so people aren’t going A&E unless it’s extreme.
We speak ill of Eastern treatment but what I saw in China cities were hospitals that were 8-12 floors, like shopping centres, you could book in with a screen like McDonalds and facilities were modern. They found capacity by building upwards as well as outwards. But we need to prioritise that, the housing crisis is secondary to health as people in the past got by with shortages they just moved but healthcare is not so easy.
I’m having a severe reaction to my stoma bag which keeps getting infected,I’ve just received a letter saying I’m on the waiting list, looked at the waiting lists 37 wks and that was an urgent letter from a dermatologist. I’m waiting to go on biological drugs for my crohns which I can not go on until I’m cleared of all infections etc (as much as possible) because the drugs are immunosuppressive drugs. So I’m now stuck……not sure what my gastroenterologist will say, I suppose I should thank my lucky stars it’s not cancer 🤷♀️

It's almost as if unqualified QCQ inspectors are incompetent.
Lots of unregistered, unregulated care homes. Overpaid by councils.
What we need is another overpaid commission's report to tell us we need more commissions and reports.
