Lol. Easy to say now. That's like somebody telling you to go buy used hospital toilets. NOBODY saw that change coming. Jewish building owners were leaving their buildings to the tenants.
Or burning them. it was live for today. you could watch movies read pics and hear stories daily but you'll never no what it was like
Starting to 95-96, you could feel like something was different.

I just recently discover ms. Tee and I have become very interested in her story. As a matter of fact for the last 2 weeks I been following her stories on you tube. Ms Tee and I are from the same generation, however I'm from DC and I was a young teenager in the late 80s and I hung out in spots where drug dealers hung. I had young men in my family who was drug dealers. I to knew guys who lost their lives to the game. All though I never was apart of that life I wanted that life. I can remember longing to be a hustler girl. It wasnt like I needed to be a hustler girl because I worked, my mother and father worked for the DC government so they made decent money. I am a only child, I was spoiled but it was something fascinating about being a hustler girlfriend. At the time that look was everything to me. But I'm so grateful and happy that god didn't grant my wish. I'm so glad that I was fortunate enough to not get involve with a drug dealer and become that hustler girl that I thought was everything. Because that life was cold, ruthless, back stabbing, untrustworthy, crazy, and extremely dangerous. So to my lord and savior once again I say thank you for not granting me that wish, it was a foolish dream.

I was born and raised in center Harlem and lived through that time and Paid in Full did capture the accurate "feel" of that era... they set out to capture the feel and it's the best thing I've seen that captures the era.. it was more violent and dangerous, bullying than what the movie shows but the look and feel of the movie is accurate to how it was back then.

Can't mention Harlem without mentioning the Ricans getting money and of course the Dominicans. She is absolutely correct....there were many people in Harlem and Nyc in general getting serious money in the 80's and 90's. There were some more "famous" than others because of their antics and or personalities. Harlem will always be home. GOD bless Harlem USA

Good video! It’s very clear now as to why they didn’t pay Alpo for “Paid in Full”. There is no way Alpo would have signed off on the way the movie portrays everything. All the more reason for 50 cent to link up with Alpo, we need a 80’s Harlem or Alpo series.
