So fantastic to have insight into the car revamp industry by an honest professional. These videos provide so much helper for potential purchasers; this guy is better than a Which magazine.
Great attention to details. Nice information on that 2 speed cooling fan. Mine was seized up, and I replaced it with one from another make. I've gotten that 1/2 engine light, that may be the culprit.
Loving the channel I always switch straight off if the word "category " rears its head in an ad but your work is thorough and restores faith in mechanics 😇.....cant wait for the next video 🚗🚗🚗🚗🚗
Great to see it finished, just picked up a 2010 Ford ka zetec 'non runner' turned out the main key had lost its code so the imobiliser kicked in, put the master key in and it started first time and re-paired, quick clean and it's ready to go, easiest fix I've ever done 😂
Amazing videos and inspiring content, so much so, Ive decided to do my own little project. I live in Spain and will come back to the UK for 10 days at Christmas . Im going to buy a CAT N mini and do it up over the holiday period. Then drive it back to Mallorca. Ill let you know how that goes. I will be using LA Mini to source parts. If you ever come to the Island please come and visit, my Wife makes a great Paella and I make a wicked G&T. Keep up the great work
I would have also purchased an owner's manual, maybe also the workshop manual for the Mini Cooper D r56 to keep for myself. Might have saved a visit to the specialist garage to learn about the engine "half-management" light!
Hi Rob, the Mini has turned out well, nice little project to follow mate, what a palavour that fan turned out to be, but sorted nicely. The car will be a nice motor for someone, well done enjoyed the video's and waiting for more. Alex.
I like when people admit their errors, we all make them and that builds a lot of trust in someone when they openly admit it. I predict the Mini will sell quickly and well, its a nice little car.
Brilliant videos mate, just wondering how you feel with the government’s decision on the all electric cars by 2035 ,scrap yards, garages and mechanics like yourself will be impacted by this! Keep the videos going, really honest and enjoyable to watch.
Been watching your videos recently they're great good to see you don't cut corners and thinks its Brill how you show and explain what your doing and the reason why n always try to give as much info to your viewers as possible look forward to the fiat 500 finish video and keep up the good work fella
Another informative and interesting series Rob. Still amazes me to see 10 year old motors looking great. When I started motoring you were lucky if a motor lasted that long and if it did it would be a rust bucket. Anyway I'm sitting here waiting for the Classic to begin......let's get involved!!!
When we lived in England (2002-2006) we were first in Hawkhurst and then Hastings, so all the locations you mention are very familiar. I bought a 1998 Mondeo for 5,00 pounds when we arrived and sold it four and a half years later for 900. We'd probably have done better with it if we'd put it in a box and brought it back to Australia, but that's history. My point is I would have loved to have met or been introduced to someone like you as a source of genuine honest cheap motors - but I suppose in 2002 you were still boy racing...don't time fly eh...
Great video content. Love catching up on these. Often say to myself that car would suit me to then remind myself I live in Cork.. Carry on the great work 🚗🚙🚘
Watched this whole series (the mini) and some of the fiats. Looking to buy someth8g similar for the misses once her pcp deal finishes. So thanks for the ideas......do you have a tips or hints vid on copart? Also how much did you sell/list this car for. Lastly how important is it to have the software for fault diagnosis? Ta
Hi Rob another cracking video - One question "how the hell do you manage to stay so clean" - If I had done those jobs I would have been smothered in grease and dirt - There you are slightly dirty hands, no marks on your clothes (no overalls) and white trainers - Deep respect - Kind regards Clay.
2 best points on this video, 1: always check the parts that you've ordered are the parts you wanted and 2: stuff can go wrong no matter how well you plan.
Another good video m8 I bet the air was blue doing that fan lol. The joys of small cars looks good now be interested to see if my guess on the price was right from previous videos. Looking forward to the way the 500 turns out.
Great videos mate, I've only just found you but I'm addicted to your videos 😂 Me and my 14 year old son have started a channel doing similar videos, if you have any advice on how you managed to grow your channel that would be awesome 😁 Keep up the good work.
Another honest good video from you Rob, I have just one problem with it, some of us don't use or like instagram and we / me prefer face book so don't know how much your selling it for. Much love... William.
@@sruk cheers Rob. Thanks for the quick response, my comment makes it look as I am a fan of f/ b ( no) but it's just for an old geezer like me its the lesser of two evils, 2.2k bargain pity I am not stopping in England long enough to bother with a car, 4 weeks in an I am near the end of the novelty. Lol
Nice to see an honest repair with paid donor parts I knew you would have had this turned around in days Great content and footage and information as always I am not too impressed that some youtubers whom are sponorsored but still repair copart cars to a point then run around or insure the car for a month or two and do very little milage whilst under repair then claim on the insurance to renew broken windscreens which was on the original damage on purchase surely that's fraud? Especially when it's documented in a video I would like your take on this?
Hey I have a question if you have time to answer it would be great but first of all great work you have been doing I really love watching your videos keep up the great work. Now I also have a Mini Cooper and lately I have been noticing the water starts boiling when I drive for a couple of miles now I don’t notice the fan working once I opened the bonnet and waited for the fan to kick in and it started really slow so maybe the fast speed isn’t working do you think that could be the problem?
Flamur Haxhija thank you for your message. With regards to your car it could be a number of things and I would hate to give armchair advice and be wrong so I couldn’t really say 👍
Raj Shah I have already changed the thermostat but now I’m wondering maybe I have put it the wrong way in I would have to check that thanks for the replies guys
When the cars are completely finished can you let us know how much your selling for so if I have enough coppers I may buy one and meet one of my favourite UA-cam channels 👍
That’s what makes this channel good, not to polished, just day to day advice like in the real world. Professional presenters may be polished, but they could be presenting this topic all talking about dog food. They just learn and recite a script
Couldn't sleep so first call is to watch this channel, so addictive and honest. Keep up the great work!
Always run away from a "category" car due to not knowing who's put it back on the road and how good their work is . You've restored a bit of faith.
William Fence 👍
This Channel is addictive!
mkdavo thank you
cookie 47 thank you

10 out a' 10 for determination getting that fan back in the mini Rob.
Great attention to details. Nice information on that 2 speed cooling fan. Mine was seized up, and I replaced it with one from another make. I've gotten that 1/2 engine light, that may be the culprit.
i cant stop watching , brilliant again.
Loving the channel I always switch straight off if the word "category " rears its head in an ad but your work is thorough and restores faith in mechanics 😇.....cant wait for the next video 🚗🚗🚗🚗🚗

jussyB 👌
Nice car for some one and good video as always.
Great to see it finished. One question, would a 'half engine warning light' be a MOT failure?
DIY Dave great question and I really don’t know 👍
It probably would as it is an 'engine MIL', but definitely a grey area
Nice result on the Mini. Now about that Range Rover ....
That’ll sell quick , great job ! 👍
Another good video m8 I bet the air was blue doing that fan lol. The joys of small cars looks good now be interested to see if my guess on the price was right from previous videos. Looking forward to the way the 500 turns out.

Nice to see an honest repair with paid donor parts
I knew you would have had this turned around in days
Great content and footage and information as always
I am not too impressed that some youtubers whom are sponorsored but still repair copart cars to a point then run around or insure the car for a month or two and do very little milage whilst under repair then claim on the insurance to renew broken windscreens
which was on the original damage on purchase surely that's fraud?
Especially when it's documented in a video
I would like your take on this?
Rob any chance of another auction video
Another great video 🙂

Hey I have a question if you have time to answer it would be great but first of all great work you have been doing I really love watching your videos keep up the great work.
Now I also have a Mini Cooper and lately I have been noticing the water starts boiling when I drive for a couple of miles now I don’t notice the fan working once I opened the bonnet and waited for the fan to kick in and it started really slow so maybe the fast speed isn’t working do you think that could be the problem?
Thermostat probably

Noticed in your other videos and this one you say "literally" far too much. It's forgiven because the rest of the content is excellent.
Ha! He does say it a lot! Still I can't talk as I'm literally saying it myself all the time.
That’s what makes this channel good, not to polished, just day to day advice like in the real world. Professional presenters may be polished, but they could be presenting this topic all talking about dog food. They just learn and recite a script
