Chris is getting so INVOLVED love it😊 you two really are an awesome double act👍 it's my 60th birthday today and no better way to spend it than watching you guys do what I wish I could. Keep those videos coming 👍
Nice job . We did a clutch and gearbox change on a mk2,Escort rallycar . In 20 minutes on a 30 minute service . In pouring rain . All great fun . That was back in the 80s . No wonder my back hurts and my arms are falling off .
I've a feeling Chris is getting into this content making Always wants the best angles The mans a legend though for giving us " mechanical fiat 500 " bank holiday content
Another entertaining video. As an oldie, I must say how pleasing and refreshing it is to hear two colleagues who can communicate with crystal clarity and without a single profanity - not even a hint of impatience.
67 twice! Nearly fell off my chair laughing at that one. Reminded me of a chap who used to refer to cars with a high number of previous owners as being popular! Enjoyed this video and as we are now into it we ought to see the conclusion. Thank you.
GM had the clutch change perfect on the early MK2 cavaliers didn't have to drop the box never seen a more practical design in all my years in the trade, fantastic content guy's 👍
I just love watching you two, it’s magic. After a 5 year apprenticeship and 45 years in the trade it’s great to see someone else grafting, happy memories. Thank you so much.👍👍
Definitely want to see the clean up. Scratch polish outs are something we can all do on the driveway, so seeing how you approach the problem is useful and interesting. Keep the videos coming boys but don’t flog yourselves!!
I remember learning to drive the instructor teaching me to always put it in neutral when stopped at a light. 40 yrs on I still do it out of habit. Good to now know why. always stay teachable.
Great to see the clutch change and you explaining how it's failed. Thanks for working a sataday to get a video out for easter monday, hoe you guys had a good easter. Looking forward to the next part on this one.
The overhead filming was brilliant - bit like a spaceship docking with a space station - left a bit, right a bit, up your end - donk! That’s it we’re in!! Cracking turn around that! Expertly done! Excellent content Rob and Chris.👏👏👏👍🤣😌
Yes Rob! I love how involved Chris is getting making you put out a video on Easter Monday. He may have been a bit skeptical at first but you can tell he really enjoys this now
Evening Guys. Another great video with some great information and telling people not to ride the clutch 🙄 Rob you was absolutely correct saying don’t bad the owner of the car as people do get upset!! But good information is 100%. Can’t wait for part two. Thanks for taking the time out for this one as time with your family is important 😃 I’m sat in my lorry in Fakenham so it was a great way of chilling after my trip from Manchester. Take care cheers Stevie 😎
Definitely need the facilities and equipment of a garage to change the clutch on a modern car these days. Good result for you guys that a new clutch has it driving again. I think the wide variety of cars and jobs you feature is one of the strengths of your channel - keep em coming !
Hi guys....I found your channel while in hospital & loved all the various vehicles you were working on. As an ex mechanic I can identify with everything you do....the joy of a correct diagnosis, the filth & not to mention the cold....keep these coming 😊
I'm amazed how clean you guys seem to be able to keep yourselves while doing these projects. As soon as I go near a car I covered head to toe in dirt. Great video.
Top brass guys. Another great video. Who hasn't ridden the clutch, we all do it and all will. Not a bad motor for the milage looks clean and tidy. Very nice first car for someone. 👍👍👍
Great work... as per usual. Giving the Gearbox a good clean up sets you apart from the rest, shows you both take pride in what you do and how you give the best you can for the next owner. Follow a few on the old UA-cam ... and for a couple the others, it’s just profit over doing the right thing for the next owner. Keep it up guys, you make a good team 😎👍
Well done, you achieved your one day fix. It was another good episode. Seeing the conclusion would be a nice touch. When I learned to drive, I was instructed not to ride the clutch. Clutch bearings were often graphite, and abuse wore them away, sometimes through the metalwork. Alternative, ball race versions replaced graphite bearings. Some, lasted for the life of the clutch, (though the ball races could become noisy), a few failed early. I wonder, was that one of the Friday-afternoon-bearings, destined for a short, exciting life? The failure was very messy for the bearing.
The best thing about your videos is that there is nothing fake about them. Because you are so real it shows and even if half of all your videos were about 500s you would still be entertaining. I can't wait for the second video on this 500.
It would be nice to see a video of the wheel repair all its own. I understand that there are some secrets to keep but it’s so important for what you do.
Great video again guys, nice of you to ask people to be respectful of the previous owner, just shows the kind of person you are as well👍👍👍. Looking forward to seeing the finished car, perhaps an engine clean as well?
You definitely know the drill with anything 500, specialists of the trade 👍 another top vid bet you’ve helped loads of amateur mechanics with the know how
Wow that was mullered ,I suppose your part of uk is heavy on traffic, causing a lot of stop start, but for 135k it's done well, nice little run around or first time car...Great video as always
Definitely a second video on the little 500 Rob and Chris, and thank you for taking time out over the Easter break to get one out for a Monday video. Hope you had a good Easter guys.
Great vid!! Love the cheap car turn-arounds! You are getting good at working on the 500's. You should advertise clutch replacements on 500's and charge £500. You could make a nice bit of quick money to put in the till.
Working on an Easter Saturday that means one thing, other halves mentioned decorating, and both of you needed an reason to say we are going to be busy, Another cracking job, that bearing was certainly toast,
Those little Fiats are becoming real popular down under here in OZ too who would of thought the little 500 would make such a come back just shows ya that original design is a good one. Nothing wrong with riding your clutch at a junction especially when your handbrakes a bit iffy
I like the video’s on Fiat 500s Nice to see & hear more from Chris, he will be crunching the numbers at the end next 👍 Enjoy what’s left of the Bank Holiday Both 🐥🐥
Great video again ive told many people about sitting in traffic with the clutch down it seems they are taught this way now. Sadly many people do not get involved in or understand the mechanicals of a vehicle nowadays and the car has become a daily tool for travel rather than a cared for machine you want to make last.
Hi rob and chris thank you for putting out a video on a bank holiday Monday and hope you and Chris have had a good bank holiday weekend and hope you had a good Easter yesterday
Rob and Chris, thanks for your efforts as always. Yes please give us the finishing video of the 500. Just enjoy watching you work. Great video as always. 👍👍👍🏴
Little Fiat: Nice bread and butter. Definitely up for part 2. When I learned to drive many many years ago, my dad always had a go at me if I held the clutch in. "You'll wear the release bearing" I can hear him now 😊
Oh what a performance to change a clutch. What happened to the good old days when all we had to do was disconnect the prop shaft, remove the bell housing bolts, lower the gearbox and there was the clutch looking at you..
I think I speak for the majority of the subscribers when I say we understand Chris ‘ camera shyness.........but I have to say I’m loving his increased presence with the channel great guys keep it up
Would love to see a other video on the 500 fiat its a nice looker goodcars 20 years a fiat where a rot box and gearboxes always crunched thayhave now came a long esy since the 1970 and 80s great video Phil n stoke
I watch you guys do stuff I can do myself (filming excluded). Difference is your not swearing, moaning, or ridiculing anyone. You have my respect as well as I am sure that of many others.
Great video on the clutch change. New drivers during lessons seem to be told to mainly use the Clutch to hold on. Where we were taught to use the handbrake to save the clutch. Chris and his whistle made my dog bark. Hehehe
Love watching you two problem solve, no profanity or hissy fits, I would be pulling my hair out( if I had any) but you calmly get your heads around the problem. Great video 👍🏻
Another crackin' video lads, made even better by the fact that I have a 500C under my guardianship (saving it for my Eldest), so was nice to see what makes her tick ! Sooooo handy having all the tools, especially the lift - changed gearboxes and clutches on a few motors many moons ago myself (out of necessity rather than pleasure), with only the Tarmac as my Base, so I can appreciate what a difference the facilities and kit makes. I was looking from behind my hands though when you were trying to line the gearbox up to go back in, screaming something along the lines of "nooooo, it's got all the weight on the spline" (or similar ;-) ) at the screen, so relieved it all worked out ! Agree that it looks like thraping the Clutch as the cause, which I too, initially, was guilty of in my early learning days, but my Father absolutely (apparently) nailed out of me whilst learning to drive with him, before all things became Health and Safety (all the subsequent cars were bangers, thus my time on the tarmac was nothing to do with me not listening to him, honest !) ! Keep 'em comin' !
Chris is getting so INVOLVED love it😊 you two really are an awesome double act👍 it's my 60th birthday today and no better way to spend it than watching you guys do what I wish I could. Keep those videos coming 👍
Happy birthday David I hope you have a lovely day all the best Rob & Chris. I’ll pin this so all can share the love 👍
Happy birthday young man! Cheers everyone and enjoy what's left of this break.
Happy 60th birthday David happy Easter
Happy Birthday 🥳🥳
Happy Birthday David! Hope it’s a good one. 👍🏼
I don't see a problem with Fiat 500 videos as long as the problems to be tacked vary each time.
A second video just to show the finishing touches would be good.
"it's done 135k miles, or 67k twice"
Made me laugh lol, a good way of thinking of it 😂
Nice job .
We did a clutch and gearbox change on a mk2,Escort rallycar .
In 20 minutes on a 30 minute service .
In pouring rain .
All great fun .
That was back in the 80s .
No wonder my back hurts and my arms are falling off .
You beat me then, 4 hrs, pissing cold rain on my own with 1 trolley jack. That was in the 90s mk 4.
I've a feeling Chris is getting into this content making
Always wants the best angles
The mans a legend though for giving us
" mechanical fiat 500 "
bank holiday content
You two are like a more realistic wheeler dealers duo.
Normal down to earth guys making an honest living. Excellent!
That's exactly why it's great content, zero bs, plus zero "ooold out yarrr 'andddd" crap
Another entertaining video. As an oldie, I must say how pleasing and refreshing it is to hear two colleagues who can communicate with crystal clarity and without a single profanity - not even a hint of impatience.
I wonder if I dare show this video to my wife. I constantly tell her not to ride the clutch when at traffic lights. One day she will listen.
3 clips and 1 pin it was a good idea 👍
I just love watching you two, it’s magic. After a 5 year apprenticeship and 45 years in the trade it’s great to see someone else grafting, happy memories. Thank you so much.👍👍
Definitely want to see the clean up. Scratch polish outs are something we can all do on the driveway, so seeing how you approach the problem is useful and interesting.
Keep the videos coming boys but don’t flog yourselves!!
The hardest working UA-camrs - Saturday working just to keep the rabble happy on Monday. Brilliant content. Cheers.
I think it would be good to have a second video to show just how good you can make it look without it going to paint.
I remember learning to drive the instructor teaching me to always put it in neutral when stopped at a light. 40 yrs on I still do it out of habit. Good to now know why. always stay teachable.
I learned that early on last year when I bought my first car. I'm glad the previous owner took good care of the little Abarth.
Definitely worth a second video to see how it cleans up! Another great little video to keep us entertained. Thanks Rob and Chris. 👍🏼
Nice tip about holding the clutch in. Out of gear. Handbrake; and relax.😄
Hiya guys, I've never seen a release bearing that bad, drivers don't realise this when sat with the clutch in. Another good one guys.
Thanks Rob for giving up part of your Easter to keep us entertained. Nice content 👍
Great to see the clutch change and you explaining how it's failed.
Thanks for working a sataday to get a video out for easter monday, hoe you guys had a good easter.
Looking forward to the next part on this one.

Cracking video lads so nice to see pro's working.
Glad the release bearing was toast and not the gearbox itself. Thank you for the bonus video last Sunday too 👌🏻
Wow, that is some serious clutch abuse. Not seen a release bearing that bad since the wife had a manual.... #ClutchLivesMatter xD
With your workshop and your projects that would be the best holiday for me.
Yeah would be good to see another one on this motor....
That release bearing was sooo mangled! Crazy. Nice job.
Glorious. I'm glad you put a video out today
It's the only way I know what day were at lads lol.
Brilliant as usual

Part 2 - bring it on!
It would be nice to see a video of the wheel repair all its own. I understand that there are some secrets to keep but it’s so important for what you do.
We already did that video bud 👍
Chris getting well into this Vlog stuff
Great video again guys, nice of you to ask people to be respectful of the previous owner, just shows the kind of person you are as well👍👍👍. Looking forward to seeing the finished car, perhaps an engine clean as well?
Great video Rob and Chris. Hopefully you enjoy some time off.
Fair play Rob you boys did another real good job mate. I bloody love you guys, this is definitely the best channel on UA-cam. 🙂💪👍
A couple of good guys doing honest work, brilliant !
You definitely know the drill with anything 500, specialists of the trade 👍 another top vid bet you’ve helped loads of amateur mechanics with the know how
Rob - Chris, a head lamp for some of those jobs is a great invention 😉
Wow that was mullered ,I suppose your part of uk is heavy on traffic, causing a lot of stop start, but for 135k it's done well, nice little run around or first time car...Great video as always
Definitely a second video on the little 500 Rob and Chris, and thank you for taking time out over the Easter break to get one out for a Monday video. Hope you had a good Easter guys.

Great video guys. Still enjoy the Fiat 500s and as ever your work is so good to watch. 👍👍
Thanks for the bank holiday video👍
Would love to see a 2nd video on this little Fiat.
Great vid!! Love the cheap car turn-arounds! You are getting good at working on the 500's. You should advertise clutch replacements on 500's and charge £500. You could make a nice bit of quick money to put in the till.
The bushes on the rear shocks are very common for going if the rattle isn't the exhaust.
Working on an Easter Saturday that means one thing, other halves mentioned decorating, and both of you needed an reason to say we are going to be busy, Another cracking job, that bearing was certainly toast,

And I was thinking you weren't going to be doing anymore of these on the channel, its good to see you doing one again.
That's a bad habit of mine too. Looking at that i must try to change that. I had no idea that's what it can do. Lesson learnt for me today
i always make sure i take the car outta gear when ever stationary. and this is why :) great vid guys
can't wait to see it finished , nice colour grey ,well done
Great stuff it's nice to see fine work .
I like the video’s on Fiat 500s
Nice to see & hear more from Chris, he will be crunching the numbers at the end next 👍
Enjoy what’s left of the Bank Holiday Both 🐥🐥
Lovely little car for the age/ mileage. Excellent, clear and informative video as per usual.
Great video again ive told many people about sitting in traffic with the clutch down it seems they are taught this way now. Sadly many people do not get involved in or understand the mechanicals of a vehicle nowadays and the car has become a daily tool for travel rather than a cared for machine you want to make last.
Great vid lads. Quick to refurb this nice little 500. Happy Easter 🇬🇧
Hi rob and chris thank you for putting out a video on a bank holiday Monday and hope you and Chris have had a good bank holiday weekend and hope you had a good Easter yesterday

That Chris is good to us making you do a video when you wanted a day off 😆 hope you guys are enjoying your long weekend 👍🏻
Teriffic work guys and yes, we want to see the wheels done, scratches fixed and interior cleaned up - and the numbers crunched!
Little Fiat: Nice bread and butter. Definitely up for part 2.
When I learned to drive many many years ago, my dad always had a go at me if I held the clutch in. "You'll wear the release bearing" I can hear him now 😊
Yeah would like to see 2nd video on you cleaning it up and doing the numbers please.
Great video👏 you have to really appreciate the effort that goes into making these videos 👍 top stuff guys
Great to see you back on a Fiat 500, can't get tired of these videos.
I do love you two working together, you read each other so well. Cheers for the constant supply of interesting stuff 👍
Oh what a performance to change a clutch. What happened to the good old days when all we had to do was disconnect the prop shaft, remove the bell housing bolts, lower the gearbox and there was the clutch looking at you..

Great video on the clutch change. New drivers during lessons seem to be told to mainly use the Clutch to hold on. Where we were taught to use the handbrake to save the clutch. Chris and his whistle made my dog bark. Hehehe
Thanks for showing us how its done.
I now rob can't resist a fiat 500!!! Good video as always
Just fitted a recon gearbox and clutch in a fiat 500and can agree a fairly simple job and parts are super cheap. Nice little cars to work on.
Great content. Defo want to see the finale.
Always enjoy your 500 videos. Look forward to part 2 and the finished product.
Well done once again guys.
Frumpa.. good on u Rob, loved the way you owned up to that blooper, made me crack up 😆🤣great vid as usual 👍
Really like your longer videos
Good on ya lads. Hope you got a well earned rest on Easter Sunday.
Great buy hopefully a nice easy turn around you and Chris.
Love watching you two problem solve, no profanity or hissy fits, I would be pulling my hair out( if I had any) but you calmly get your heads around the problem. Great video 👍🏻
