    This elegy has been one of my favorite pieces on the piano for years. Then I heard Sheku's performance of it on the cello last week, and I couldn't believe how much more vivid it sounds. It's as though Sheku brought Rachmaninoff's spirit back to life.

      @@Billthebutcher100 I don't understand how playing an adaptation of a piece originally written for another instrument constitutes plagiarism, and also, why would you say that he's not a "true musician", whatever that means. You don't have to necessarily be a composer in order to be a musician you know?
      As far as adaptations go, Rachmaninov himself made a piano version of Kreisler's Liebesleid (for violin). Would that make him a bad composer then for some reason?

      @@rafadawabe But of course you wouldn't understand Rafael...
      Music plagiarism is the use or close imitation of another author's music while representing it as one's own original work. Plagiarism in music now occurs in two contexts-with a musical idea (that is, a melody or motif) or sampling (taking a portion of one sound recording and reusing it in a different song). For a legal history of the latter see sampling.

I love hearing his double-stops! His performances bring out so much emotion in me and I often get chills around the crown of my head and down my shoulders! At times during his performances, he seems so rapt in his music and I think to myself: "If he were to shed a tear while playing, I would absolutely fall to pieces!" As a classically trained percussionist, I have been placed in awe of Sheku and think that it would be such an impressive honor to one day be able to meet and spend time with him! Sheku Kanneh-Mason, thank you for sharing this video!! I am so amazed by your “preternatural” capacity to play the cello. I think that your leafing through the music is quite stunning, sublime. It must sound like the orchestra in heaven eh? Sheku, they really have a choir in heaven, sun..lol son:) I am trying to give you a pictorial view of the (son), “the only begotten one”. [John 3:16) He reminds me of you…the music seems so innocent and so precious.
    I am so awe- filled by God's ability to create and fashion you in your mother’s womb with such sounds and tones that have the ability to create the music of verse. Such wonderful musical verses that actually settle one’s thought patterns for moments to see GOD. I remember watching the video of you guys and I was sooo astonished by the fact that God had gifted your entire family??? Have you ever thought about what he was thinking when he created your Mom? What her assignment was in the earth realm for you and your siblings? He knew before your were in your Mother’s womb that she was going to carry an orchestra of “PATHFINDERS“ that would inspire the “HUMAN RACE”, one blood. “HE” is such a wonder in your soul. :) {Psalm 119:105} I am soooo inspired.
    Anywho, I just wanted you to know that I am here in North Carolina seated in a wheelchair for some time now and hearing your music again makes me feel eagerly athirsted. I am excited about your future!!! I pray that somehow schools and Universities will offer music programs that comprise stringed instruments. You should really become an ambassador, and advocate for them!!
    YOU CAN DO IT!!! Come on, do the research and put in the time. You already know some important “ROYAL” folks! :) #YES, YOU CAN. You have to think and dream bigger. You have to grow beyond just playing the instrument and see others engaged and playing it even better than you!! #DREAM SHEKU!! Pray about it and include your entire family. God really strategically thought you guys life out and has a divine plan. {Jeremiah 29:11’}
    Moreover, I wanted to know if you were a born-again believer, Ummm, a Christian, Ummmm saved? :) I am not sure if you know what I mean? Lol {Romans 10:9} Most people these days are, however, they are not yet filled with the Holy Spirit. Are you filled and do you speak in unknown tongues? #it is a supernatural prayer language wherein you get to commune with the God of the universe!!! YUP, he is sooo fresh and cool!! He loves you, and knows that I am writing you. He actually planned it before you were in your Mother’s womb. Yep…I pray that all of you guys say the prayer of salvation and that God quickly fills all of you on the same night!! Maybe even while you are playing your instruments???? YAY!!! WOOO--HOOOO!!! Know that he can do exceeding and abundantly above all we can actually think, imagine and believe (above the highest prayers) according to the power that worketh in us. {Ephesians 3:20}. SOOOOO, I am giving you some homework!!! Yep, tonight... 1-Pray about salvation and whether or not you want Jesus as the Lord and Savior of your life. Whether or not you want to become his friend and or allow him to become your heavenly Father. 2: Pray daily for the gift of the Holy Spirit {Acts 2:14} [Joel 2:28] 3; Purchase a cool Dake Bible and tell your sisters to purchase an Amplified/King James Version parallel Bible and start seeking him for your divine purposes. 4: Find a Spirit-Led Pentecostal Church. 5: Forgive everyone 6: Write down 500 dreams!!! :)
    Every String,
    Riza Harris
    #Every Blessing Son!!
    {1Peter2:9} #JUST ASK HER IF SHE KNOWS HIM YET? IF SHE IS FILLED. Meghan Markle was created and wrought in royalty. Know that her receiving Christ as her Lord and Savior and getting filled with the Holy Spirit affirms her personage. #YOU CAN DO IT… Come on Sheku, you are an answer to her many prayers. You have something that will change her life forever, whether she goes back to Buckingham Palace or not she will be a Daughter of the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords :)
    #He is God, even before history began.
    #COVID-19 Stay safe!!! We are all coming out of this bondage!! :)
