You just gave the best directions I have ever seen anyone give on a you tube video…and I watch a lot of them….no unnecessary commenting or conversation but just extremely clear and to the point with excellent visuals-congrats and TY!
Thank you so much, I am so happy to read your awesome compliment, i just had to read it out to my hubby we both had a big smiles bc of cause he agrees with you!! 🥰🐝🌹🦋 crafty hugs Donna
OMG what a great idea, lucky friends!! i reckon you could go smaller again! you would have to practice with the paper width and lenth but they will be amazing!! 🥰🐝🌹🦋 crafty hugs Donna
When I was a kid, we covered our school books with brown, paper, grocery bags using this method. 😊 What a great way to add something unique to a JJ. Thank you, AGAIN for your beautiful work! ❤
So cute! Loved the cameo one. If you make a tab closure instead, the book will look like a teensy diary! Hmmm… Be great on a gift package especially a small jewelry one, dangle from a book gift card envelope, money envelope, picture frame, a bunch hanging off a lampshade, off a bookmark, ornamentally on a small xmas or other tree, a recipe book version on a recipe box, and other themed uses. Childs book cover on a doll gift, baby on baby gift, science on a science item, art on art supply, makeup tutorial one on small makeup gifts say for little girls, etc. Brilliant as a charm!
g'day Paula it's nice to meet ya! you're 3 hrs up the road from mine! what a beautiful place to live, glad you love these little books😊🐝🌹🦋 crafty hugs Donna
Donna you are such a good teacher. Your tutorials are very comprehensive and understandable. These books are darling. I like to mask off the spine from the rest of the cover and color the spine with a gold marker- or any color you want to use. It makes a pretty accent.
Hi again 😊 I love your tutorials so much. These little books are fab, and your dearest mother has/had great taste it must feel so good having and using things your mum used and enjoyed 😊 tfs ❤ alison
Thanks so much Alison! 100% agree her taste in paper crafting was top notch!! it is the best feeling ever to be able to shop at home, I have a double garage full of stock! 🥰🐝🌹🦋 crafty hugs Donna😊
Perfect directions and tips for these adorable embellishments! Thank you for sharing! Off to make several mini charms for my granddaughters Christmas Journals!
Thanks so much Phylliss, I think your granddaughters are going to love them! I just dropped avideo last night where I make some paper beads and Christmas beads you might like them as well to go with!! ua-cam.com/video/m4OJTK0JTGI/v-deo.html 😊🐝🌹🦋 crafty hugs Donna

Well you’re right I’ve made some and I do love making them. I’ve not got them neat enough yet tho any tips ? Maybe it’s more practice needed or the materials one uses. Thanks love your channel cheers 👍🏻
@@LozzCalderwood hey Lozz, its definately the practice. and while your folding keep the foldlines parallel at the top and the sides with each fold you make. 😄
Oh, boy. I did 3 and don't think I'll try that again! For those of you doing this, just make sure you get those measurements right!! I do love them though!
so glad you tried them Mitzi, the measurements do have an impact on how wide and high your little book turns out, great tip to share with everyone 😊🐝🌹🦋 crafty hugs Donna
I absolutely love the little charms! I have never been able to make one, probably because of my arthritic fingers. But if I could, I would put one on every journal I make. Granted that’s not a lot, 😂 but still that’s how much I love these. I noticed you only have two premade ones that are actual charms. Please let me know if you decide to make any more. It’s not really worth it all the way here to the states. It would be awesome to get a handful of different kinds. Anyway, thank you so much for sharing this. They are so fun and would make gorgeous gifts and charms. You are always filled with so much inspiration! Hugs 🤗❤️
hey Tamara, i am making some more little charms to put in the shop. my website broke down again yesterday and it stopped me from finishing things properly. I have put one aside thats on a journal im gonna show you that will be up for sale. I will show it to you soon. the website breakdown has put me behind a couple of weeks. the liitle book charm thats on the video cover is the one im talking about. prnt.sc/EAwbkyd78kX- 🥰🐝🌹🦋 crafty hugs Donna
These look amazing and your instructions are thorough - I will test them later haha let’s see if this brain do something like this. 😂 I do love the Japanese papers - gorgeous!
thanks a lot Clara, I don't have a tutorial not really but I can show you this shorts video ua-cam.com/users/shortsaUn0W6ypTec i made a paper bead first, get an eye pin put a bead cap on the top & a little bead, glued the eye pin down the center, put a bead cap and a bead on the bottom, make an eye pin in the bottom of the pin, then wrapped the paper bead in a torn piece or sari silk and glued the little flower on. I think it would make a good tutorial one day, i'll add it to my list, I hope you get to make some 😊🐝🌹🦋 crafty hugs Donna
I L❤VE these little books! Your tutorial is wonderful, especially the pauses. What is the large rectangle grid ruler you're using called? I definitely need one! edited: Is it a quilting ruler? I found on amazon but they've all got bright yellow, I love yours just black and red
thanks so much, i put a link in the description and its yellow too, I got mine from a local quilting shop. Yes its called a quilting ruler they are so good! they do take a bit of getting used to because they slip around on paper but once you hang on for dear life they're awesome! saves marking with pencil most of the time. The brand i have is Sew Easy made in Australia good luck searching 🥰🐝🌹🦋 crafty hugs Donna
I'm so glad you liked the tutorial, but I didnt add this in this tutorial it was already on the clamp for this journal, I'll have a look and see if I have made a video or not?🥰🐝🌹🦋 crafty hugs Donna
