can we just appreciate about his stage presence?
I've said this before, I think, but Dimash is not just one of those "once in a lifetime" artists, I think he's a "once forever" kind. There have been others to hit those high notes, or others who bring the sort of storytelling he does - but they don't do it ALL. Dimash is what I believe to be the pinnacle of current human singing. He has the technical capability, combined with the artistry. He was also born with incredible genetics that allow him to just do things that are literally impossible for other singers physically. On top of all that, he has the dedication and drive to continue pushing his own limits.
He is a "perfect storm" of great singing characteristics. There are very few, if any true flaws you can pick out of his singing. He's just a near inhuman level of talent, and I don't think we will see another like him for a very long time - if ever.
I think looking back, our generation will eventually look at him the same way as others do with historical individuals like Elvis Pressley, Michael Jackson, etc - where we take pride in saying "yes, I was alive when Dimash was, and I got to see his rise to stardom."

Dimash is a master of dynamics. Not only is he an amazing vocalist, but he is also an accomplished actor. He puts both together to take his audience on an emotional roller coaster ride. As he builds the tension, his audience's breathing quickens and its pulse increases. Then he allows them to calm down, only to build them back up again. An entire concert by Dimash is akin to running an emotional marathon.

I was at Queen's Wembley concert in July 1986. My ticket was £14.50 (I still have the stub in a scrapbook). My, how ticket prices have changed.

Indeed. Dimash has a vocal trick that yields a note *above* whistle voice. D8! And he used it in a live performance!
That's almost out of the range of my old ears. I call it his 'dog whistle.'

Ogni Pietra is in Italian. The correct name of the song is Olímpico.
The author Igor Krutoy tell us that he wrote an “opera” but a difficult piece for two opera singers, and ask Dimash which part do you like to sing?....and Dimash say yes!....Dimash is not an opera singer but He has classical vocal Techniques (He has three) and the same subject and do it wonderfully!...for that reason love you Dimash! You are unique and amazing Singer!!!!

Lol you cannot believe how your jaw will keep dropping.... it is insane. Once you think he has shown you all his talent and tricks he will surprise you with a different genre, tone, technique, language, musicality, instrument he can play, composing songs. Hi Nina, Awesome reaction to this phenomenal performance from Dimash. This was written by Igor Krutoy for the opening ceremony of the European games in Minsk last July. Igor approached Dimash saying "I have written an aria for baritone, tenor and soprano, which do you want to sing" Dimash replied "Yes please"!!! 👌👌👌😀😀

Enjoyed your reaction and analysis! Dimash is a vocal chameleon - he can do pop, opera, folk/traditional, rap, or any genre! This song was composed for him, as well as "Passione," which you should definitely watch!

From a teaching perspective, it's probably hard to justify reacting to Dimash. Who can hope to duplicate what he is doing in live performances? It's all but unteachable, unless one starts with an inordinately gifted five-year-old and works the poor kid to the bone for twenty years.
But as a source of pure, unadulterated pleasure, there's nothing better in the vocal world. And I love your honest reactions to him, Nina. I crave more! :-)
There are still lots more songs to hear, and yep, there are still shocks to be delivered, I assure you.
You haven't yet heard one of my ultra-favorites: 'Love Is Like a Dream.' Have you *ever* heard vocal fry combined with breathy vocals? I hadn't, and I hadn't imagined that it could sound good. But it *does.* It's gorgeous. The sheer control Dimash has over his voice is nuts.
'Passione' is outrageous. Over-the-top absurd, with a fast upward staccato run casually delivered in the second section that will drop your jaw to the floor. You'll say 'What? What just happened???' Or at least, that was my reaction.
'All By Myself' is another English song, delivered at the 2017 'I Am a Singer' TV show in China. It's just plain beautiful, and thrilling.
'Autumn Strong' leaves me in tears. I think Gloria Wu's channel here on UA-cam has a version with English subtitles and a lead-in to explain the origin of this Chinese song. The context is everything, you won't want to miss it.
'Daybreak' is another tear-jerker. Backstory from Gloria Wu is also helpful, with English subtitles.
There are many more, some of which are recommended here by other commenters. You can't go wrong with any of them.

I think the part about working the poor kid to the bone was by mutual assent. He wanted this, he only ever wanted to sing, and that drive from him is relentless. I love him for his commitment!

I have no doubt that young Dimash was worked to the bone. But he had to have been a willing victim. Nobody can force excellence on a student; you can push, but the student must pull, too.
His performance of "Passione" and "Love is like a dream" were two others that floored me for completely different reasons. Those would be my recommendations for your next reactions in any order you like. Also while I'm here if you could squeeze in his performance of "Diva Dance" from the "Fifth Element" movie from his Bastau concert as it's a short performance (under 2 minutes I think) and maybe make it a double feature Dimash day?

Ok, now that you have seen this...you should watch the New Wave version...where you can really see his body language in the same sort of stationary style...and then find the clip from the NY Arnau Envoy concert...he is very mobile and dynamic with it. I think those are my two favorite performances. Also, if you don't know the background, Ogni Pietra was written for him by Igor Krutoy, to sing and the Euro Olympics...so it is also known as Olimpico. The lyrics are fantastic...you are strong you know, don't be afraid. You are stronger than your troubles. The world needs you. Go, be your best self.... It is so very...Dimash. Anyway...great reaction! Never gets old watching someone discover his amazing talent.

This song was written with his range in mind. For another contrast you could try his cover of Lionel Richie's "Hello" as a guest performer on Singer 2018.
His voice changes so easily, because Dimash is actually an Alien; he has been sent ahead by his people to communicate to us through the medium of music. He is actually their foremost ambassador. Their musical forms shall unite the world :P
I was in total awe when I first heard him sing this song. I closed my eyes, and I could almost see myself being taken on the wings of an eagle. THAT was one of the most amazing musical experiences in my life.

Yess, that is the right words, his voice (but i think not just his voice) going trough to the body! I witnessed this performance/ concert! I am telling you, i couldn't move, I was standing there and blown away, my mind, mind spirit, everything. His voice went trough in my body I even cant explain how did feel, cuz never had this experience before! He is the God of Music!

He's certainly onre hell of a performer (he does more than just sing the song) and just about every one he does has something great to take away. His Diva Dance performance is, to me, insanely good. For someting a little different you could look at his Music Video for his song, Screaming.
I also recommend Queen's The Show Must Go On, his English not perfect but the 'performance' is so good it doesn't matter.
If you know the Vitas song Opera 2 then his version of that is well worth your time.... honestly as long as you avoid anything from the worlds best (US show on CBS) then you really can't go wrong
You may react to Diva Dance and Day Breack in Bastau concert ! In 2017 at contest the Singer he was sick ! At Bastau was healthy ! There are the best version I heard !
I will endorse your recommendation to avoid any of CBS' versions of anything whatsoever. They viciously edited down songs, cut them to pieces, then gave air time to the most insipid judges one could wish not to hear. And they are vicious copyright trolls to boot. Reacting to those performances is a terrible idea. Happily, uncut live performances from Dimash are readily available for all of the songs he sang for CBS.
Permit me to recommend a live performance of 'Screaming.' The music video rubs me the wrong way; it's full of edits that distract from rather than enhance Dimash's singing. Central Asia doesn't appear to be caught up on quality music video editing techniques. By way of contrast, Dimash's people are gloriously competent at staging his live performances.
Show Must Go On at SInger is one of his most underrated performance and yet for me is one of the best he ever done.

He is amazing. It is impressive when you get a male singer who can hit a wide variation of notes in a short space in time. I know "King Diamond" can do this variation of vocals from high to low very quickly, but personally Dimash goes one step further. Absolutely awesome!

Dimash is a study in what the voice is capable of given training and dedication to working your technique. I have to assume he has a very natural talent and a slightly unique set of vocal cords to allow for his range but you cannot deny the amount of work he puts in to his craft. Stunning.

I went to his concert in NY in December. Seeing him live is ethereal. Your jaw will drop every time you listen to him. I would and have marathoned Dimash. Don't know how coaches and teaches or singers that like him can wait weeks to watch one video at a time. I lay on my bed and close my eyes, lights off and play him with my ear buds in and I just relax. I couldn't go to the NYC concert and it about made me sick to miss it. One thing I have been watching on him is his hands. You see him moving his fingers and hands as he sings or listens to the music and what is coming up. I love watching his hands. He uses them in every song whether live or on a video. His hand movement is mesmerizing.
