  • A new Western platform has entered the war in Ukraine.
Swedish-manufactured CV-90 fighting vehicles from Ukraine have reached the front lines, reportedly in the vicinity of Bakhmut within the Donbas region in eastern Ukraine.
Viewers may note that in January, Sweden pledged 50 CV-90s to Ukraine.
The CV-90 is the third tracked fighting vehicle Ukraine has received from its foreign allies, the country is getting more than 150 M-2s from the United States as well as 60 Marders from Germany.
In this video Defense Updates, how Swedish CV-90 fighting vehicles could help Ukraine?

The reason delivery took a bit longer was that all Swedish vehicles were used to train the Ukrainian troops not only in their use but also in combined arms battlegroups. So they delivered a battlegroup not a vehicle and that is why they went straight from Sweden to the frontline.

Lets just put this out there. The CV90, especially the later models are far more dangerous than the Lynx, Puma, Bradley or K21 fighting vehicles. They are more modern, the cannon is much larger (40mm) the types of ammunition 3p programmable ammunition is deadly as hell. It can air-burst at set ranges, it would annihilate every single Russian in ANY trench with ease from kilometers away.
The weight of this IFV is almost as much as the Russian MBT (main battle tanks). Close to 40 Ton.
The CV9040 is a highly aggressive vehicle, designed to control the initiative by staying mobile instead of slowing things down to a walk. Aggressive maneuvering is what the CV9040 is designed to do, outmaneuving vehicles and killing them in the flank and charging enemy positions to drop off soldiers right ontop of the enemy.
These tactics have been part of the Swedish doctrine since the late fifties as seen in vehicles like the PBV301 and PBV302. And it was directly copied from the German playbook of WW2, where the German panzergrenadiers/dismounts fought more often than not from their halftracks, allowing them to keep pace with the tanks and also maintain initiative through aggressive maneuvering.
A Bradley, Puma, K21 and so on is not designed for that type of combat. It's essentially an APC that drops off troops 100m from the fight. The CV9040 drops off troops within 0-50m from the enemy position, or simply drives up to it and let's the troops fight mounted.
In Afghanistan it was apparently tremendously deadly. The Danish or Norwegians were caught in some kind of fight/ambush and they annihilated the enemy.

this war is the cheapest war the US has ever participated in so your thinking is completely wrong you get a huge amount for your tax dollars
the only thing the usa and the west need to do is send materiel no soldiers
no matter how this ends, the US and the West have already won
ukraine has destroyed at least half of all russian tanks, it will take russia decades to just replace these just to name one thing
and that finland has joined nato so now russia has a new 1,340 kilometer long border to guard nato cheers and puttin wondered what the hell happened, even Sweden after over 200 years of neutrality has applied for nato membership
negotiated usa when japan attacked pearl harbor 🤔 we all know the answer
the mere consideration of this would have driven Franklin D. Roosevelt and the American people mad at those who had suggested it
if we are to survive, there will be no negotiation
russia invaded a completely sovereign country and behaves like nazis if the us west accepts this then this is just the beginning of russia's expansion
Putin wants back the countries that once belonged to the Soviet Union
puttin has made no secret of this but said it straight out
and if we don't stop this fascist then your tax money will totally disappear
