Have only had one problem with these starter units, and I’m fairly certain the client was holding the key on way too long after the engine would start, ultimately requiring a replacement starter. definitely the way to go, though! You're my hero! i have lots of questions im so glad i ran into your channel. I also want to convert my parked 75 baywindow. I already have a wrx subie engine with engine harness just been buyin parts to repair brakes. Once i can actually move the bus with working brakes then i will start on install.

I just bolted the tdi starter up to my superbeetle. Had to drill the holes closer to the middle.
