So, I used your recipe, and I must say, it brought memories back of grams pie! It’s so darn good! She also made a tomato casserole , layered tomatoes , onions and soda crackers. It was good too, but not sure of all ingredients! She canned veggies from her garden And was a great cook ! Thank you for posting this 👍🏻🤗🥰

I'm not to big on Mayo but I wonder if I could substitute it with sour cream? For some reason I can't eat cooked mayonnaise. I could understand making a homemade pimento cheese and putting it on top. But don't bake it. I might try that.
Hi there Ellen, ...just a tip but you could supplement the Mayo with Cream Cheese. Cream cheese taste wonderful and it pretty much turns into the amount of liquid when it melts as Mayo does.
It is impossible for me to follow a recipe to the letter! I try, but before I know it, I have added something or taken something away to suit my own and my families taste! When the boys were young they would ask for "that casserole we had last week". And I would have to say SORRY, but I don't know how to do that again!

@@stacey5925 i don't eliminate anything and it doesn't get soggy. I freeze my butter overnight. I leave pie dough in the fridge for a few hours before I try to roll it out. Always flaky.
