That dude who spoke to Akane thinking it was Kana doesn't have any idea what he just started 😂 btw, i think at this point most people are more invested in Akane and Kana's characters more than the plot itself, me included LOL
Akane's long hair is totally because of Ai. If you notice, when she was a kid her bangs were to the right, even after she cut her hair, and when we met her in season 1 the hairstyle was still the same. However, ever since she first imitated Ai in episode 1x7, she changed the bangs to the left (like Ai's were) and started growing her hair. So, even though Kana still lives rent free in her mind, it seems her obsessive tendencies kinda turned to Aqua as well and she has decided to better appeal to his preferences 🤷🏾♀️ And while we are on the subject, at the end when Aqua is talking about Kana, that whole montage is Kana directly from his pov, except the shots of her music video and the colab with Pieyon... So we can assume he has watched these videos right? The way he talks and the look on his face even made Akane pout in jealousy... When I tell you this love triangle makes the most sense if it's Aqua and Akane being in love with Kana... Don't worry! Simps 1 and 2 will drag the queen to the spotlight! 😂
i know (or i assume) that this might not be your intention, but sometimes people paint Akane in such a bad way, that it makes look like she doesn't have any qualities at all, like she is just some red flagged girl who is obssessed and wants to murder someone. She is not. And also, Kana has many failures too. Anyway, i'm just saying this bc sometimes looking into too much detail will make a character look worse or better for you (someone even said at the balcony scene was TOTALLY PLANNED by her, like she was some kind of mastermind or smth).
@@OliverOlivier-xi3vk I think both characters are complex, they have their issues, traumas and so on, this makes the viewers make their own take with these characters based on previous experiences and who can relate the most. I for example also feel Akane have some suspicious vibes lol, but that its because I have watched enough anime to know that it can develop into something dark for that character. I think in general people are harsher on Akane due to Kana having more screen time, her relationship with Aqua and Ruby is great. Akane started with "the wrong foot", we see her having probably the worst time of her life leaving Kana with the more goofy side of things, also we later know she has a rivalry with Kana, that at that point me thinks she was a fan favorite so people that already shipped Kana x Aqua maybe felt threated by this development. And just to be clear, I do like Akane, especially this season, I think she showed her best side this season and I think the rivalry with Kana makes more sense know that we know what happened when they met.
@@eucri Like, for me it's the biased thing that counts: people ALWAYS go for the "ship argument" whenever a Kana / Akane discussion comes in. It's like they're not even individual characters, and to analyze them it ALWAYS comes back to "who's better for Aqua", like....no. Both characters are amazingly written, but people see Akane ONLY for her "worst moments and bad sides", and these same people completely ignore Kana's flaws as well. Heck, even cutting her hair - i know she was inspired by Kana, but why everything with Akane comes down to "obssession" EVEN WHEN it's not that? So if i cut my hair bc i admire someone famous (which IT'S TOTALLY NORMAL IN SOCIETY), am i obssesed? Like, calm down. About the reasons many people don't like Akane OR don't like her as much as Kana, IN MY OPINION (let's make this clear) are these: *A) she's not the first girl, which already puts her in a disadvantageous position *B) they thought Akane would be just a "one arc" character and that would be it, so some people already didn't create any connection to her...so the fact that she REMAINED in the story and IS IMPORTANT might have take Kana fans by surprise *C) many people see Akane as a "threat" to Kana, since she HAS great importance to the story, and thus attribute to her the "plot device" status (i take that as "she is so good that it looks like she solves everything" argument)
@@OliverOlivier-xi3vk I agree with the Shipping argument, but people just want their fav character to be happy with their other fav character, it happens all the time. I think that's a bias that most people have but at the end what matters its that their fav character have a happy ending imo. Also I don't think Aqua cares about dating at all at this point of the story, guy doesn't have time for that lol, gotta get revenge first!!! So all that shipping argument its just noise to me for now, if the story ended next episode he will prefer to keep alone imo. I do think Akane had an idolization of Kana; It was not only the hair, it was the hat, clothing, profession, wanted to be her basically, but you have to take their age into account, they were like 6-7 yo (?), I think at that age you usually have something that you can get obsessed with really easily so I don't blame her at all (e.g.: a person, a hobby, a subject like astronomy). After meeting Kana instead of getting disappointed she tried to understand why she acted that way (which its good) and got hyper focused in that instead so I think she have a tendency to get hyper focused on wherever it caches her interest, I also kinda like that so I can understand that. But she got interest in that only because of Kana, so you could say that she orbits around Kana a lot. She also said that expected to act with/against Kana for a long time to try and get the "Old Kana" back, so that makes you wonder if she kept acting just to achieve this, although she also says she loves acting but it can be both reasons. In summary, I think Akane character goals/interests are heavily related about Kana and that makes people say she is really obsessed about her. I think the author just wanted to make a compelling rival for Kana and I think he achieved that but forgot to give her some goals not related to Kana at all. That way people may see her as her own character instead of only some kind of evil antagonist to Kana.
In conclusion: you watched a child actor frustrated at losing her job, and even take her frustration out on someone whom looked like her ( already losing jobs mind you ) and you called her trash lmao
