I honestly never picked up on fact that was played on a 12 string, that sounds so much better then the standard guitar and sounds just like the original.
I thing that because both string can not be tuned to the exact shape pitch so you have to notes that are very close to each other, which is kinda like a choir
Enjoy all of your videos! What are some of your favorite songs that use a 12 string? Would love to see a few more videos featuring the 12 string. Thanks!
I never liked 12 strings that much and I feel like writing with a 12 string depends heavily on what you're playing but it makes a huge difference for how something feels when it's the right instrument for the job
And if memory serves me right, they recorded the song Nashville style. One standard 6 string and one strung with the high strings of a 12 string guitar, then layered
Hi Anthony, your 12 string sounds great. Hey, is every string just duplicated on the 12 string. or say the low E string and the next string is an E but a different pitch? By the way what brand is yours?
I used to have one. Must admit, I found it hard to play. If I remember correctly the bottom e and the a strings were duplicates and the others tuned an octave apart. These days people try all sorts of tunings though!
Sounds great but if you never heard it in a 12 string you wouldn’t know what you’re missing. lol but they all sound better in 12 string. More than a feeling and closer to the Heart by Rush
Love these UA-cam Shorts; you're a master marketer!! Seems like your channels are flourishing!! 🎉🎉🍾🥂🎶🎵 ps..I don't know think Felder ever gets enough credit; Frey and Henley were so overbearing and manipulative.
Sounds amazing. 12 strings are wonderful. I wish I could have a 12 string Ovation
You can have one
@@sinatra222 they're quite expensive here, not sure I'll be able to
I always assumed this was just the two guitarists playing in sync lmao
That song is perfect. Simply perfect.
Even I can tell the difference
I honestly never picked up on fact that was played on a 12 string, that sounds so much better then the standard guitar and sounds just like the original.
the 12th string always reminds me of being in like a cathedral or something, it just has an angelic vibe
I thing that because both string can not be tuned to the exact shape pitch so you have to notes that are very close to each other, which is kinda like a choir
It's the bass that brings out that 12 string sound.
and the chorus sound of the higher notes tuned to the same pitch
Sorry. You still nailed it on a six. Stay awesome man. Love the videos!!!
Love the sound of a 12-string. One of my fav guitar sounds of all time is the semi-electric 12 string used in Boston's second album Don't Look Back.
Huge difference. I love my 12 string guitar, but sometimes it’s maddening trying to tune it.
100%, but when you do get it right, ooooooh, man! Does it sound epic!
Nice! I once taught myself it without the capo. Love the 12 string sound.
It would be nice to have a couple of extra left hand fingers though 😊
I never noticed it was a 12 string. I almost always notice when the 12 string plays full chords. Pretty cool
The bass plus the jangle is where the magic lays.
Honestly both sounds great, just different
You're awesome as usual. Keep the videos coming. My knowledge of music is expanding with every video

Has Anthony done a tutorial on Zeppelin's Rain Song??
Holy moly huge difference. I want a 12 string now 😂
If Don Felder was never in the Eagles, we ain't having this conversation.

Such a focused playing🙌🏾
That’s it. I need more 12 string music in my life.
Dude, nice Operation Ivy in the back.
12 string sounds great. But, I ain’t changing the strings on it…ever
And if memory serves me right, they recorded the song Nashville style. One standard 6 string and one strung with the high strings of a 12 string guitar, then layered
Sounds great on a ukulele and banjo uke
Awesome sound!
Agreed. Same with “Wish you Were Here by Pink Floyd.
Okay I'll go listen to Hotel California again

@@allosaurusfragilis7782 thanks, a 12 string sure sounds good if you can play it. I just meant standard tuning.
@@allosaurusfragilis7782I’m pretty sure that the high e and B are the same, and the others have an octave higher.
You can also say that about the Byrds music too.
Is it more that everyone is just so used the sound of it on 12 string?
the operation ivy poster really goes hard
“On a dark desert highway”
Dang that really made a difference
Every time I see a video with a 12 string in it, I just get sad that I don’t have one…….. yet
I hope this video goes viral
It did on TikTok
I instinctively had to do 3 taps at the end.
Am a 6 string nut, but I have to agree it sounds better with 12 strings, but it's personal preference, but I still like the 6 string 😊
On a dark desert highway...
Beautifully done! Long live the 12ers!

Most of Gordon Lightfoot's songs use a 12-string. I had no idea of that until I owned one. Such a great sound.
Sounds nicer on the 6 string maybe the 12 string has a lesser sound but still 6 string sounds nicer.

While I like the intro my favorite part of the song is the end, with the two six strings guitars
Like the 6 string better
6 string has a better sound than the 12 string but I do like it on the 6 string much nicer.
12 strings soo much richer 😊
Sounds like the stones with a 6 string
Kinda like it better on the 6.
How’s he going to talk about the Eagles in front of the Operation Ivy jacket?
well shit now i need a 12 string
La primera guitarra suena muy bien
👍✌️

How did this video make it past Don?!?!
Could you cheat and use a six string with the chorus effect?
probably, I don't really know lol
Inb4 Don Henley's team copyright strikes this.
I'm surprised Henley hasn't blocked you. Lol
Your videos waste way to much time
I ABSOLUTELY HATE THE EAGLES AND I HATE THAT SONG MORE THAN ANY OTHER EAGLES SONG
