How I improved my showering experience in my Winnebago Solis 59PX

In this video I share some tips that made showering, standing up much easier, and enjoyable, for me in my Winnebago Solis 59PX. The most important change I made was turning around and standing facing the the wall opposite the shower controls. This provides more room for me to spread my feet for better balance and much more space in front of me to work my arms and clean myself. When facing the shower controls, with the toilet at my back, I found it difficult to move my arms without feeling like I would fall backwards on to the toilet. When I turn to face the opposite wall, facing the toilet, I am able to move my feet further apart and feel more balanced by putting one foot in front of the toilet providing much wider balanced footing.
I bought a suction cup mount so I could relocate the shower head on the wall above the toilet during showering. I replaced my original shower head, that had a cutoff valve integrated into the head, with an oxygenics RV shower which includes a separate cutoff valve that can be attached to either end of the hose. Replacing the head is not necessary to get the space benefit described in the video. All you need is to do is add an additional mount on the opposite wall. Update : Someone asked about the Revel's shower and I was curious so watched a couple of videos. I observed that the Revel's shower controls are over the toilet so the Revel's bathroom is configured for showering the way I suggest in this video. The Solis shower controls would ideally be on the opposite wall to begin with.

The bamboo shower mat had to be HEAVILY modified for use as a shelf. It was a very involved process. You really need to be careful with hard objects, objects with edges, in the surround. The surround will crack if you are not careful.

Yeah, I was going to mention that. If people walked into the shower and faced the faucets, they would have a hard time imagining taking a shower in that position. If that was their experience, they may write it off and never attempt it. I kept trying things and eventually landed on that setup and was like, dang, I can actually use this. Now I really enjoy it and prefer to use it over campground showers. I used to make the hike to the showers with a fistful of quarters. Not any more.
