As an Australian player, I would love to see the developers at more tracks from my home country, besides Mount Panorama which is currently the only Aussie track in the game. The Australian tracks I would like to see added is Sydney Motorsport Park, Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, Albert Park Circuit, Hidden Valley Raceway, Symmons Plains Raceway and Calder Park Raceway.
How about a racing fueltank? You can tune a lot of cars to match gr4 or gr3 or even higher race categories. But you run out of fuel sooner than the real race cars because of the limited fuel capacity. It makes sense if you are able to buy a racing fueltank. Also let us decide how much fuel you can start with. It makes the racing more interesting because you can play more with strategies

The one thing that pisses me off the most about GT7 updates is that there should be an update everyone month even if those updates have no new tracks or cars, simply adding in a ton of new events, endurance races, adding new wheel/parts, new disciplines like Drift/Drag/Togue, adding weather and 24hour night cycles to tracks etc, there so much that could still be done regardless if PD haven’t got any cars or tracks ready for a particular month.
It would be very helpful to have custom categories in the garage. For example putting all the golden era DTM cars in one category. Would save a lot of time searching for specific cars in the garage
The track that NEEDS to be added is Pikes Peak. They have been the lead sponsor at this event for 10 years now. Racers are even required to run GT banners on the windshields. Ive even witnessed the laser scanning car go up the mountain. I know they have it mapped out
Invites should be binned after level 50 collector is reached. I’m at around 700 hours in and I’m still waiting for the Bugatti invite - last car I need to get the 100% And today I got the Lamborghini invite again! Weather or day / sight should be on all the tracks as well by now
It still bugs me that Trial Mountain and Deep Forest Raceway don't have rain. That would be incredible and would almost be like a brand new game to add dynamic weather to every track.
Being a B driver rating, I make more mistakes than A and A+ ers, so I'd like a little red dot or light to show me at which point i lose my clean race status to help me improve my racing lines etc. - Abolish barrier collision penalties when you are punted off by another driver and when you accidentally hit the barrier that already caused a loss of position or lap time. No need for a double whammy here. - when a car comes in to a corner at 30% or more speed than the average of other cars, ghost it so others' races arent ruined by rammers or bad drivers. Cheers, dd

True about PD doesnt care about the player base anymore. It would be good if we could communicate to PD through their own Gran Turismo Forum, to make this a great game again by helping them with ideas. But with no communication to PD on what hope we got.
Speaking of Eiger Nordwand, just why not add a snow varient to the short layout and the others if they are added in since the real life location is high in the Swiss Alpes. It only makes sense and we could have other snow tracks other than Lake Louise. I know that snow aren’t that popular on GranTurismo but how cool would that be.

I know most ppl want technician changes but as one of a huge number that can only use a controller so wish it was possible to make it easier to be competitive as I have been simply unable to get golds on some events so some form of help would be I'm sure very well received
I also feel that they should add invites when you set up a lobby and want to race with your friends and family, instead of actually having them go through the menus to get the into the lobby
Been a very longtime since last update, i expect to hear something on either tokyo gameshow or the tokyo live events, and if we dont get an update to late october or early november it has to be a major update with at least 7 cars, 1 new tracks, good single player content, more sophy ai, maybe finally in custom races,
re: invite system. Why didn't they make it tied to collector level? making it rng behind the roulette was a terrible idea. If you instead got a permanent invite at certain collector level milestones it would make way more sense. When you reach lvl 50 you have access to purchase all the cars in the dealership.
I would like to be able to buy the mechanic parts in the car setup menu, and not having to go to the map and enter the parts shop, like in previus GT games
Do you know what would be really simple to implement, if you went into a dirt event but didn’t have the dirt tyres fitted to the car, but had them in the inventory for the car….. the game should just fit the dirt tyres
only needed one more car for many months, and it's behind the invite system. hate it, otherwise i can live with everything else as is. i've golded everything and it's the last thing to do. but i would like to see larger player lobbies and would also like to have the cockpit view without the wheel and arms.
When I’m in GT Auto, I want to be able to switch to a different car there, instead of having to back out to the main screen and choose another one in the garage section, and then go back in again. It’s so tedious if you have many cars that need the oil changing. 😤
IN GT2 WE WERE ABLE TO SIMULATE ENDURANCE RACES. I HOPE That can be used again. a 50-lap race, or even 30 laps can take 3 hours. maybe more. having a disability with my left hand can make it very hard. my hands get very weak and tired. especially on tracks with tuff turns- like EIGER NORWAND, the 12 lap rally race can be very demanding on my hands and wrists. I also hate that if I sell a car, when I go that dealer it still says that I own the car. just because I bought the car 1 time, then I sell it, I really don't know which cars I own and which I don't. I own 459 cars. so basically all of them, accept gor the BUGATTI CHIRON, THE 20 MIL$ classic Ferrari, SHELBY COBRA, AND I need 2 rebuy the PORSCHE STRASSVERSE. also there is another Ferrari I NEED 2 REBUY. I feel one thing this video showed is that Polyphony did too much with GT7, they were a little too ambitious. Obviously the more you add to a game, the more problems you'll create. I hope going forward they dial things back and take the GT3 approach; solid base game with less features - gradually adding more to the game with updates, which they couldn't do in GT3. Instead of throwing everything including the kitchen sink into launch, and then not being able to adjust to issues that arise with being too ambitious. ...Although having said all that, they aren't exactly fixing or adjusting anything the community is crying out for, and I agree with everything on this list. So maybe streamlining isn't the best option, but a broken game will stay a broken game. I just hope future updates prove to be more fruitful.
I don't mind the invites. But I hate how they're implemented. Instead of chance, give lists of things I have to do to get the invites. Like, spend so much time in this car, Win these races in this car, or buy these cars to get an invite for this car. It could be a good thing if they did it right.
The invites, I do agree, are absolutely stupid. Any time I get a daily reward, and its a invitation to buy a car... it goes completely to waste, because I don't have the patience to even _afford_ the car in the first place.
I'd personally love to get some more tracks and car/category-specific races. Maybe a few more rally tracks, I know people hate them but I think they're really fun, especially after the latest physics update!
Needs Lotus and Vauxhall/Opal/Holden, few others missing also :( and a few brands are lacking in line up where as others are well over bloated with editions and models.
I think they could create other types of challenges in weecky challenges, for example, win or finish on pole 5 times in daily race c in sport mode in addition to other types of rewards in the weeky challenge, such as a free car ticket from a specific brand, for example, if you win a car ticket from ferrari, you can buy any Ferrari car, using the car ticket without using game credits. but this reward has to be from an event that is very difficult or rare to win

Honestly my biggest problem with this game is AI consistency and difficulty. It’s absolutely atrocious in Custom and Quick race. Just try doing a custom 30minute race in slower cars to see what I mean. They try hard in quick race for half a lap (even with Sophie) and then give up. In custom race they run slow from the start, only in single player events, championships and mission races are they anywhere near competitive. It sucks how bad immersion is killing when I’m smoking a Veyron with a stock Ferrari 512 at LeMans. I want the AI to compete and I know it’s possible!
1) Another reason for removing invites - I already have all the cars, yet I still receive invites as prizes! 2) Being an old fart, I really don't care for the endurance races, but I would still do them if that was a condition to win a certain car or unlock a track or function. 3) I have over 120 spare engines and more spare parts that I don't need than I can poke a stick at! 4) Yes, we need the rally stages of Eiger Nordwand! I have noticed that the old sections that can be seen from the current re-modelling are now walking trails, so the other circuit layouts could still be used. 5) Unless you are buying 10 of every car, you don't need so many credits! Why this is an issue is beyond me! 6) Though I don't use nitrous, being able to refill the bottle or even refit a new one at a pit stop is a good idea! Imagine:- you're in the pits and the only way to replace or refill the nitrous bottle is to open the car door! How cool would that be? 6.5) It would also be good to recharge the electric cars' batteries... Have those tasks as an option for the pit crew to complete along with changing the tyres and refuelling. 7) Being able to choose 'widebody' as a category is something I had never thought of, but I like it! 8) VR is not something I use, so the lack of updates doesn't affect me. However, the fact that Polyphony has let this fall by the wayside is endemic of their lack of care for the people that bought the game and the very expensive piece of hardware that is the VR headset. They promoted AND developed it (in conjunction with SONY) so they should maintain it's functions. 9) Absolutely! Dynamic time and weather is a must ON ALL TRACKS! I understand that there may be a problem with creating mud on a dirt track or having snow fall at Lake Louise... Hang on, no! There should be no problem at all, they're just lazy SOB's! 10) B-Spec was always fun! Being able to choose drivers of differing temperaments and adjust their driving styles to increase their skill level and, basically, be a team manager was enthralling. But it was also "helpful" because I had always been relatively busy.
Be good if there was a way to earn a small amount of credits/reward for decal designing if your decal get downloaded/liked a certain amount. Or if you upload a decal and someone uses it, get a small bonus. Make it so player have to buy 'your design' for like a silly 500cr or something, be a good way to make a few cheeky credits on the side. More championships, rally, events including the drag and music etc etc, so much potential yet so shallow once you've done everything and are left with the grind/online/dailies/weekly. That invite system, the stupid thing, 1st invite I got, was for the most expensive Lambo, I didn't have enough credit and it ran out, earned a ticket shortly after like within an hour or so....guess what it was......a refresh of the exact same invite that just expired. What a joke. Some of the ticket's I've been given were absolute toffee, like you got a 500k car and the Ferrari GT Vision or concept car, that week, I got absolute tosh bobbins! The game needs a fully 3d walk around garage where you can display your top 5-10 cars or something, walk around and go into photo mode.
Think its time for Kaz and PD to pull the plug on this game. Single player been dead for 2.5yrs now. For us that grown up playing single player on Gt1 to gt5 i would say this game feels like an insult. The core gameplay is dead, and Kaz 100% on you. If GT8 is anything like GT7 there is no reason to buy it.
If they are going to make weather a more prominent feature, they need to make it option, i.e. an off button. So many games tout features like weather as more "realistic". Yeah, IF it acted like real weather. I have watched storms turn through 270 degrees (something that never happens in real life) and I've clocked other storms moving at over 400 mph! If you are near a storm moving 100 mph, you aren't racing. You aren't even above ground. Also the wet track conditions have always been laughable but after 1.49 it is completely immersion breaking. If there is enough water on the track to throw up spray, you aren't racing on slicks, you are hydroplaning at 10 mph as you try to crawl around the track to get back to the pits. Another favorite series of mine (Ace Combat) tried to add "realistic" weather effects by adding wing icing for flying through clouds. While it is something that can and does happen IRL, it doesn't happen in 15 seconds and it completely ruined the game for me.
Isn’t it odd as hell that we get no endurance races. And any endurance race in game was because the fan base raised He!! To get. It’s crazy. They still fight the fan base over endurance races. Sport mode and single player. Like what’s the problem here. The missions only paying out 1 time is such a shame. At least the endurance missions should payout. Heck payout 50% or something.
In my opinion we need more championship events and endurance events . I’m getting bored doing the same events in the same cars

There should never be an invites in the game, and if you got the credits then you should be able buy that car.
It would be very helpful to have custom categories in the garage. For example putting all the golden era DTM cars in one category. Would save a lot of time searching for specific cars in the garage
The track that NEEDS to be added is Pikes Peak. They have been the lead sponsor at this event for 10 years now. Racers are even required to run GT banners on the windshields. Ive even witnessed the laser scanning car go up the mountain. I know they have it mapped out

It still bugs me that Trial Mountain and Deep Forest Raceway don't have rain. That would be incredible and would almost be like a brand new game to add dynamic weather to every track.

I went hard on the Le Mans grind when invitations were removed and bought all of them, now they're just roulette spin and UI clutter. Bin them.
Being a B driver rating, I make more mistakes than A and A+ ers, so I'd like a little red dot or light to show me at which point i lose my clean race status to help me improve my racing lines etc.
- Abolish barrier collision penalties when you are punted off by another driver and when you accidentally hit the barrier that already caused a loss of position or lap time. No need for a double whammy here.
- when a car comes in to a corner at 30% or more speed than the average of other cars, ghost it so others' races arent ruined by rammers or bad drivers.

I need to know if I should restart the Tokyo grind when the AI car (I'M LOOKING AT YOU KOKOBUN) magically slows from 160mph to a dead stop in 40ft in the braking zone before the hairpin and gets in my racing line just long enough to sneak in front of me so I'm forced to tap his rear quarter panel for no other reason than stealing the bonus so I'll have to buy credits if I want even one legends car

Speaking of Eiger Nordwand, just why not add a snow varient to the short layout and the others if they are added in since the real life location is high in the Swiss Alpes. It only makes sense and we could have other snow tracks other than Lake Louise. I know that snow aren’t that popular on GranTurismo but how cool would that be.

I know most ppl want technician changes but as one of a huge number that can only use a controller so wish it was possible to make it easier to be competitive as I have been simply unable to get golds on some events so some form of help would be I'm sure very well received

Been a very longtime since last update, i expect to hear something on either tokyo gameshow or the tokyo live events, and if we dont get an update to late october or early november it has to be a major update with at least 7 cars, 1 new tracks, good single player content, more sophy ai, maybe finally in custom races,
re: invite system. Why didn't they make it tied to collector level? making it rng behind the roulette was a terrible idea. If you instead got a permanent invite at certain collector level milestones it would make way more sense. When you reach lvl 50 you have access to purchase all the cars in the dealership.

Do you know what would be really simple to implement, if you went into a dirt event but didn’t have the dirt tyres fitted to the car, but had them in the inventory for the car….. the game should just fit the dirt tyres
only needed one more car for many months, and it's behind the invite system. hate it, otherwise i can live with everything else as is. i've golded everything and it's the last thing to do. but i would like to see larger player lobbies and would also like to have the cockpit view without the wheel and arms.
When I’m in GT Auto, I want to be able to switch to a different car there, instead of having to back out to the main screen and choose another one in the garage section, and then go back in again. It’s so tedious if you have many cars that need the oil changing. 😤

IN GT2 WE WERE ABLE TO SIMULATE ENDURANCE RACES. I HOPE That can be used again. a 50-lap race, or even 30 laps can take 3 hours. maybe more. having a disability with my left hand can make it very hard. my hands get very weak and tired. especially on tracks with tuff turns- like EIGER NORWAND, the 12 lap rally race can be very demanding on my hands and wrists. I also hate that if I sell a car, when I go that dealer it still says that I own the car. just because I bought the car 1 time, then I sell it, I really don't know which cars I own and which I don't. I own 459 cars. so basically all of them, accept gor the BUGATTI CHIRON, THE 20 MIL$ classic Ferrari, SHELBY COBRA, AND I need 2 rebuy the PORSCHE STRASSVERSE. also there is another Ferrari I NEED 2 REBUY. BUT ITS PRETY CHEAP. I think its a '69, or '70. all sf cars as well. ONLY BECAUSE i CAN'T DO THE RACES WITH THE SF CARS. my hands are no good enough to race them, but at 1 point I HAD 1 or 2 of em

I feel one thing this video showed is that Polyphony did too much with GT7, they were a little too ambitious. Obviously the more you add to a game, the more problems you'll create. I hope going forward they dial things back and take the GT3 approach; solid base game with less features - gradually adding more to the game with updates, which they couldn't do in GT3. Instead of throwing everything including the kitchen sink into launch, and then not being able to adjust to issues that arise with being too ambitious.
...Although having said all that, they aren't exactly fixing or adjusting anything the community is crying out for, and I agree with everything on this list. So maybe streamlining isn't the best option, but a broken game will stay a broken game. I just hope future updates prove to be more fruitful.

I don't mind the invites. But I hate how they're implemented. Instead of chance, give lists of things I have to do to get the invites. Like, spend so much time in this car, Win these races in this car, or buy these cars to get an invite for this car. It could be a good thing if they did it right.
The invites, I do agree, are absolutely stupid. Any time I get a daily reward, and its a invitation to buy a car... it goes completely to waste, because I don't have the patience to even _afford_ the car in the first place.

I think they could create other types of challenges in weecky challenges, for example, win or finish on pole 5 times in daily race c in sport mode
in addition to other types of rewards in the weeky challenge, such as a free car ticket from a specific brand, for example, if you win a car ticket from ferrari, you can buy any Ferrari car, using the car ticket without using game credits. but this reward has to be from an event that is very difficult or rare to win

Honestly my biggest problem with this game is AI consistency and difficulty. It’s absolutely atrocious in Custom and Quick race. Just try doing a custom 30minute race in slower cars to see what I mean. They try hard in quick race for half a lap (even with Sophie) and then give up. In custom race they run slow from the start, only in single player events, championships and mission races are they anywhere near competitive. It sucks how bad immersion is killing when I’m smoking a Veyron with a stock Ferrari 512 at LeMans. I want the AI to compete and I know it’s possible!

1) Another reason for removing invites - I already have all the cars, yet I still receive invites as prizes!
2) Being an old fart, I really don't care for the endurance races, but I would still do them if that was a condition to win a certain car or unlock a track or function.
3) I have over 120 spare engines and more spare parts that I don't need than I can poke a stick at!
4) Yes, we need the rally stages of Eiger Nordwand! I have noticed that the old sections that can be seen from the current re-modelling are now walking trails, so the other circuit layouts could still be used.
5) Unless you are buying 10 of every car, you don't need so many credits! Why this is an issue is beyond me!
6) Though I don't use nitrous, being able to refill the bottle or even refit a new one at a pit stop is a good idea! Imagine:- you're in the pits and the only way to replace or refill the nitrous bottle is to open the car door! How cool would that be?
6.5) It would also be good to recharge the electric cars' batteries...
Have those tasks as an option for the pit crew to complete along with changing the tyres and refuelling.
7) Being able to choose 'widebody' as a category is something I had never thought of, but I like it!
8) VR is not something I use, so the lack of updates doesn't affect me. However, the fact that Polyphony has let this fall by the wayside is endemic of their lack of care for the people that bought the game and the very expensive piece of hardware that is the VR headset. They promoted AND developed it (in conjunction with SONY) so they should maintain it's functions.
9) Absolutely! Dynamic time and weather is a must ON ALL TRACKS! I understand that there may be a problem with creating mud on a dirt track or having snow fall at Lake Louise... Hang on, no! There should be no problem at all, they're just lazy SOB's!
10) B-Spec was always fun! Being able to choose drivers of differing temperaments and adjust their driving styles to increase their skill level and, basically, be a team manager was enthralling. But it was also "helpful" because I had always been relatively busy.
Be good if there was a way to earn a small amount of credits/reward for decal designing if your decal get downloaded/liked a certain amount. Or if you upload a decal and someone uses it, get a small bonus.
Make it so player have to buy 'your design' for like a silly 500cr or something, be a good way to make a few cheeky credits on the side.
More championships, rally, events including the drag and music etc etc, so much potential yet so shallow once you've done everything and are left with the grind/online/dailies/weekly.
That invite system, the stupid thing, 1st invite I got, was for the most expensive Lambo, I didn't have enough credit and it ran out, earned a ticket shortly after like within an hour or so....guess what it was......a refresh of the exact same invite that just expired. What a joke. Some of the ticket's I've been given were absolute toffee, like you got a 500k car and the Ferrari GT Vision or concept car, that week, I got absolute tosh bobbins!
The game needs a fully 3d walk around garage where you can display your top 5-10 cars or something, walk around and go into photo mode.
Can they bring back the SR up/down indicator. I'll never understand why that isnt included.

Think its time for Kaz and PD to pull the plug on this game. Single player been dead for 2.5yrs now.
For us that grown up playing single player on Gt1 to gt5 i would say this game feels like an insult.
The core gameplay is dead, and Kaz 100% on you.
If GT8 is anything like GT7 there is no reason to buy it.
If they are going to make weather a more prominent feature, they need to make it option, i.e. an off button. So many games tout features like weather as more "realistic". Yeah, IF it acted like real weather. I have watched storms turn through 270 degrees (something that never happens in real life) and I've clocked other storms moving at over 400 mph! If you are near a storm moving 100 mph, you aren't racing. You aren't even above ground. Also the wet track conditions have always been laughable but after 1.49 it is completely immersion breaking. If there is enough water on the track to throw up spray, you aren't racing on slicks, you are hydroplaning at 10 mph as you try to crawl around the track to get back to the pits.
Another favorite series of mine (Ace Combat) tried to add "realistic" weather effects by adding wing icing for flying through clouds. While it is something that can and does happen IRL, it doesn't happen in 15 seconds and it completely ruined the game for me.

Isn’t it odd as hell that we get no endurance races. And any endurance race in game was because the fan base raised He!! To get. It’s crazy. They still fight the fan base over endurance races. Sport mode and single player. Like what’s the problem here. The missions only paying out 1 time is such a shame. At least the endurance missions should payout. Heck payout 50% or something.
