They made better country music then actual country bands and singers. Anything Metallica does or touches turns into gold, ppl were mad and got taken by surprise with load and reload because it wasn't vintage Metallica or thrashy enough, but you cant always do the same type of albums or compose the same type of song over and over and over again. Metallica brings variety to the table..
So they wrote and base an album. The songs tell stories just as all the others. It doesn't have the speed other want from Metallica. Remember when everyone dissed And Justice For All? St. Anger wasn't my favorite, but how many bands have made albums that didn't do well. Longer songs, less air play. All about ratings. Screw the ratings. They best have mandatory Metallica every day at 5pm when I'm old and in a nursing home. I want happy hour too. Gen X gonna be done wicked old people!!!
I been saying for YEARS, if corrosion of Conformity, or someone like that had recorded this album, it would have been HUGE! But because it had the name Metallica on it, everyone shit on it. I'm glad they didn't try to write M.O.P. for 20 years.
This song has probably my favorite solo by Kirk. It's so simple but it's almost like he plugged his guitar to his heart. I get goosebumps every single time the solo kicks in.
An underrated Metallica classic. The song may be very long but everything sounds fantastic. The guitar is simplistic but it fits the tone, James' vocals are dark and haunting, the drums are very powerful and in a way calming, and the bass is the best part as it leads the song the whole way through and makes me feel restless.
I think whole Load album is one of their best albums. 5 stars hard rock album. I got that feeling Outlaw Torn is the same thing on Load like instrumentals were on their old albums, that's why it is so long
Metalheader970 Metallica is known for long instrumentals.Kill em all an ride the Lightning, avg 6 to 7 min. per song. I believe four horsemen is over 9,One of the many reasons i love em.
To Live is to Die, Orion, and Call of Ctulu are their best. Just shows what James and Kirk can accomplish when they're both working on guitar harmonies.
Load and Reload are so criminally underrated. With these 2 albums you will hear some of the most heart wrenching lyrics, along with a band giving everything they have with every note. But because these albums don't feature a song hitting 200 beats per minute, it gets put under the "sellout" category. "Hear me, and if I close my mind in fear, please pry it open. See me, and if my face becomes sincere, beware. Hold me, and when I start to come undone, stitch me together. Save me, and when you see me strut, remind me of what left this outlaw torn." It only shows people's true ignorance when they say someone is selling out after writing something like that. Metallica was and has always been true to themselves, which is why they're the greatest band, and have saved me multiple times.
***** Agreed. I think Load and ReLoad are just as good as their early stuff. After that, St. Anger was a step below, but still really good. Even Death Magnetic was good. Their only truly bad album was Lulu.
I am a badass metalhead, but i love load and reload, musically and ,most of all, i love the lyrics. You can feel the emotions behind those words. Outstanding.
You can consider it "the best piece of History", but it's still your opinion and not the other's one. Nobody possess the real truth in the world of art, and specially the music. Just a perspective question.
VICIOUS STRIDER Pretty well known record there actually. I share your passion of it but I promise it's anything but hidden. One of the biggest albums of the '90's, It sold a few copies.
Not sure how people cannot respect this tune. This has been one of my favorite metallica tunes since it's release. Old, new. This is amazing song writing
It's a real shame that so many Metallica fans are metal elitists who reject anything that does not conform to their narrow-minded view on music. This is my favourite Metallica album and always will be. I'm no "fanboy" or "metallifag", it's just my preference. I don't understand why people can't accept this! And what is so shameful about this album? Does it suck...because it's not metal??? What kind of moronic logic is this people? Are we all so dogmatic in our views that we will put down good music just because it is not metal? Are we civilised people or are we nazi's?? Music is an art, conveying emotions through sound. It's not something to hold prejudice on. There's my two cents.
Man I agree with you so bad that my head's gonna explode. This is like the best shit for me. Lars' drumming sits with Metallica fucking perfectly. I love his sudden bass drum bursts and rolling tom fills. It's so fucking good, much better than some 24/7 doublebass rape with fills that consist of nothing but fucking up the crash cymbal.
I can’t get load and reload but its not that I dont want to open up, I even like saint anger but i get frustrated because I know these albums have a real meaning and are good but I can’t manage to see it
(Re)Load, solid albums but should have possibly been released as a separate project. What I don't like with these albums in particular is length and repetitiveness, but that's a problem with all Metallica albums.
somehow i think that this song is sooo modern, its pure genious songwriting. and to all the kirk hammett haters, he is one of the few guitarists, that is actually able to share the feel of the song perfectly or even grows it. He maybe isn't Yngwie, but he is a much better bandmember, as a songwriter and offcourse as a person.
I've always interpreted this song as James' longing and missing of Cliff. Its sad, its long and lonely. Its a steady bass song, and the guitars weep into a crescendo of tears. I feel the chorus is James asking for support, forgiveness and acceptance for how things went. Its like their ode to Cliff "To Live is to Die," version for Load, but its sadly "To Die is to Keep Living" for James. This for me draws one of the most emotional responses of all their songs. its so emotionally heavy for me. cheers and thanks.
I love the fact that Metallica made songs/albums like this. As much as I love banging my head to some thrash, it's awesome to see bands evolve and experiment with different sounds. The Load/Reload albums are so underrated.
Haven't heard this song for years but after listening to it just now I believe it could be Metallica's finest moment. A tormented, haunted masterpiece.
It goes in stages. Ðhere are people dhat say everything after "Kill Em All" is garbage, basically because dhey prefer punk music and dhat was dhe closest Metallica ever got to old punk music. Ðhen dhere are dhose dhat say everything after Master was crap, because Justice was too prog-metal for dhem. Ðhen Black because it wasn/t fast. Ðhen Load because it was like jizz-metal. Reload fεlt like half-Black/half-Load. Ðhen dhere/s an almost general consensus on St. Anger stinking, but even some people like dhat. Death Magnetic is everything dhe fans were crying for and still complajned like whiny losers. So basically, ignore dhe morons and enjoy dhe music.
I remember buying this on tape when it came out. All my metalhead friends had crucified Metallica but I really loved this album a lot. This song for example has that Black Sabbath feel to it, something you would have never heard on any previous Tallica album.
For F's sake this is like a tribute song to Sabbath in Metallica world. I'm 53 years old, I need a chiropractor evertime I hear this tune from headbanging.
This song is pure fire and darkness. I love it. The lyrics are poetic and brutally emotional. The playing is stellar. What more could you ask for? I rank this among Metallica's masterpieces.
The Outlaw Torn has to be the most underatted Metallica song ever... Despite it coming from an album that has gotten a huge amount of backlash from it's fans. This song is the shit. Amazing and memorable Guitar Riff in the beginning, Meaningful lyrics from James Hetfield, I love that deep sound at 5:30, At 6:34 it reminds me so much of a Hendrix song mixed with a Metallica style. Also I love it when then song picks up at around the 8:30 mark and then it kinda sounds like I Heard It Through the Grapevine by Creedence Clearwater Revival. The Load era was so unique for Metallica but it's sad some of us couldn't handle the change.
metalkari666 My favorite album would have to be Ride The Lightning from Metallica overall but The Outlaw Torn to me was there biggest highlight of the 1990's. It was a song that has such an amazing feeling and it represents the evolution of a band truly. Amazing work from Metallica as always though I'm still looking forward to a new album.
I can't believe how can someone say that Load/reload sucks, why...cause it's standing away from the norm, cause it's not trash?! -YOu can feel the soul in these songs !!
So late to this party... anyway : I think for the most part the musical genius of this album is far overshadowed by the band's name. I absolutely love Load. If you can disassociate this album from the band's previous style you might realize that for hard-rock it's probably one of the greatest albums. This album has traveled with me for more than half my life and every time I play it I always enjoy it...
This song has such a driving energy behind it yet it is relatively slow paced. The chorus is very powerful and I like how Lars remains "composed" during this piece without overembellishing it. However he could have done some double bass stuff towards at the end to give it more variety . Vocals are great.
I just listened to this song for the first time in over a year, and it really brings back memories, I'm kinda emotional now lol. That solo hits me hard every time. People can talk shit, but I think Load and ReLoad are just as good as the first 5 albums.
Rican GuitarGod I guess I'm one of the few 'True' Metallica fans out there then. I own every album up to Death Magnetic and i love every one of them. Sure, Master of Puppets was great, but that doesn't make the rest bad. I kind of prefer Ride The Lightning to Puppets anyway.
I think it's about Cliff dying. Just take the line: "You make me smash the clock and feel...I'd rather die behind the wheel" The day after Cliff died, James completely destroyed his hotel room and among the things he destroyed was an alarm clock. He also got drunk and was out in the street screaming Cliff's name, asking where he was and wishing he had been the one who died. "I'd rather die behind the wheel" - behind the wheel of the bus - in the back of the bus, in one of the bunks - is where Cliff was laying when the bus flipped, hurling him out the window and being crushed.
the mood setup by the bass and drumbeat. then add the mellowness of kirk's skills accompanied by the most flawless vocals james has ever had,,,it all makes this the perfect tune jack
Can't believe how amazing this song is. One of Kirk's best solos too. If this song had some structural changes - i.e. was a bit faster, and on the Black Album - it would be hailed a permanent masterpiece. But NAH - because it's on Load, it's automatically disqualified by elitists. I'm also a huge first-4 albums fan, and an elitist to some extent, but if you ignore songs like this you're just fucked.
this song is so deep... the end lyrics help me daily in my recovery. a person dying to change but knows the demon will always be buried inside. my wife and children are the ones who "pry my eyes open, beware, stitch me together, and remind me of what LEFT THIS OUTLAW TORN".........
Load and ReLoad had some pretty great dynamic/atmospheric songs. Whenever I hear someone bash Load/ReLoad, I wonder if they actually listened to either of them all the way through. While they're not as solid as Metallica's earlier albums, they're full of gems. I believe if you took the best songs from both albums, and put them into one, you'd have an album that could keep its own against Metallica's earlier albums. Not in fact that they're the same style, but that they're enjoyable.
I would go beyond the definition enjoyable... there is some definite "soul" (wheter it's metal or just pure rock) put into these albums! The underlying fact is that everyone was so used of the "thrashy" sound that they used to gift us, that we (metal fans) were soon to bash the band and the albums. IMO they showed some balls to try new perspectives and a new range of sound. I dont wnat to start this war again but these are my 2 cents on the subject. Rock on!
Samuel Teixeira I never got the whole logic behind calling Metallica sell-outs by doing Load/ReLoad. If you ask me, they would've sold-out if they tried making the Black Album over and over again. Why change your sound and potentially alienate those millions of new fans? The Black Album was huge, and they could've cashed-in on that momentum by releasing a second album that sounds the same, but they didn't.
Totally agree with you man! It's actually nice to find someone who i can agree with in this matter and that enjoys music for the music! Metal salutations!
Yep, i've been a die hard Metallica fan since '88, and this is without a doubt their most underrated album. I have rocked out to this in my car so many times over the years that i've lost count. I believe it's James' best ever lyrics and it has true rock 'n roll riffs. He poured his heart out on this, didn't give a f$%k about what the fans or so called critics thought.
"you make me smash the clock and feel / I'd rather die behind the wheel." this is probably obvious, but I never thought of the Cliff connection. I wonder if that's intentional
It's great that you can honor him with playing this song. I'd love to have Metallica played at my funeral, if only for those left behind. Everyone deserves to enjoy this AMAZING ROCK MASTERPIECE. BTW I am a life long die hard Metallica fan since I was a kid, and Load is my favorite album.
When I listen to many of the Hardwire songs, I keep thinking of Outlaw Torn. Many Hardwire songs have that Load/Reload feel yet taken to an entire new level.
Sabbathian intro, grunge parfumes, doom, heavy and light, superb bass structure for a guitar splendour grand finale, the 90 years Metallica at their best,
One can tell what Metallica was going through when they made this album....the 'tell' is in Kirk's solo....arguably one the best and most guts out solos he's ever done!
My ultimate love confession song. Without mentioning the word "love" once in its 10-minute-duration :) That's Metallica, they made my life so much better :)
There aren't many bands that have the guts to wait for the 4:45 mark to play the song's chorus for the first time, but then Metallica isn't most bands. "And if I start to come undone/stitch me together" might be the greatest lyrics ever written.
I love this song. I love this album. It's so different. Metallica experiment a new things... for me, it's a beautiful and authentic evolution. I listen this album since 7 years and I still loving it....
for me this is the most emotional album Metallica's ever made. And this is the only song, in metal, where a lead guitar solo brings me close to tears every time i listen to it
James vocals are very good. Kirk was praised as a genius for his use of midi and he pulls at my emotion with his work. Lars hits the drums like Bonham did, hard and heavy! Jason is in the groove. I must say that I'm impressed by all parts and enjoy this song as much as any of the bands earlier releases. I have seen Metallica 8 times, and this is one of my favorite live songs of all time. Much respect to the guys for putting together great music! Thanks
One of the best songs and bands of all time!!! I remember when Metallica first came out.. They're a part of that very small group of bands who, once you've heard them just once, you KNOW... they're gonna be awesome.. And they're gonna be HUGE!! great pick.. Thanks for the upload
Metallica's first four albums prove they're the best thrash band of all time. Their 90's albums prove they're one of the best bands of all time period!
This is one absolute masterpiece! Never understood the hate towards Load and Reload. They've never stop challenging themselves with new and different projects. We evolved with them. For sure we are no longer angry wise-ass 17 years olds anymore. How can it be bad that they change their art as time goes by?
tHANKS TO WHOMEVER PUT THIS TOGETHER. oNE OF MY FAVORITE AND AT THE VERY LEAST MOST UNHEARD, UNDERRATED SONG EVER. i stand by that!!! thanks man, I view this often ;)
Load is so underrated. People just can't face the fact that Metallica was brave enough to change styles so many times.
Exactly !
LOL So many times?? :D :D Twice! Load-Reload & St Anger was experimental, but the others are so similar in mainstream thrash metal.
My fucking favourite from Load :)
La mejor de ambos discos de lejos, y mira que hay temazos :P
Coincido contigo
This song has probably my favorite solo by Kirk. It's so simple but it's almost like he plugged his guitar to his heart. I get goosebumps every single time the solo kicks in.
6:27 is Kirk's solo. 8:03 is James's solo.
av3nger3 Wah-wah-wah-wah-wah
Load is a goodie. very heavy and dark . These San Fran legends kick asse. I put on load crank it hard ! with kill them and puppets ! Metalifuknca
+Andrew Ward they're not from San Francisco. They went up there to get away from the glam rock scene in l.a.
+TrooperLinks No, they went up there because Cliff said if he was going to join up, they would have to relocate to SF.
This song, along with "fixxxer", are metallica's most underrated songs
agree 100%
+Jason X agreed
Escape is pretty underrated too. It's a bit like Unforgiven or Nothing else matters, but on many ways better than them
agreed!
And "Where The Wild Things Are" as well.
I agree with you, metallica ftw!
I think whole Load album is one of their best albums. 5 stars hard rock album. I got that feeling Outlaw Torn is the same thing on Load like instrumentals were on their old albums, that's why it is so long
Totally agree
Metalheader970 Metallica is known for long instrumentals.Kill em all an ride the Lightning, avg 6 to 7 min. per song. I believe four horsemen is over 9,One of the many reasons i love em.
To Live is to Die, Orion, and Call of Ctulu are their best. Just shows what James and Kirk can accomplish when they're both working on guitar harmonies.

It only shows people's true ignorance when they say someone is selling out after writing something like that. Metallica was and has always been true to themselves, which is why they're the greatest band, and have saved me multiple times.
They're the two best albums from the band IMO. I love their early stuff just as much as anyone, but Load and ReLoad are in a class of their own.
They have saved me also many times friend, Metallica are my favorite band and always will be.
I wouldn't go as far as to say these are their best albums. Puppets, Ride, Justice, and then these two are my definite top five
***** Agreed. I think Load and ReLoad are just as good as their early stuff. After that, St. Anger was a step below, but still really good. Even Death Magnetic was good. Their only truly bad album was Lulu.
Great albums I agree more chilled and melodic not all about 100mph riffs
I am a badass metalhead, but i love load and reload, musically and ,most of all, i love the lyrics.
You can feel the emotions behind those words. Outstanding.
I don't care what the "real metal's fans" say...
THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST PIECES OF THE HISTORY
... And one of my favorites of course U.U
well said
fucken love it!
+Kari Lister haha quality !
The best of metal , like no other! !
You can consider it "the best piece of History", but it's still your opinion and not the other's one. Nobody possess the real truth in the world of art, and specially the music. Just a perspective question.
This is one of those songs that sounds-and feels-better every time i listen to it.
michelle k same here i hold it close to my heart.
michelle k i wish more people knew about this hidden gem
VICIOUS STRIDER Pretty well known record there actually. I share your passion of it but I promise it's anything but hidden. One of the biggest albums of the '90's, It sold a few copies.
+brian branham around 5 million a few

Criminally underrated, this song should be in every setlist along with Bleeding Me,GREAT songs.
Not sure how people cannot respect this tune. This has been one of my favorite metallica tunes since it's release. Old, new. This is amazing song writing
This must be James' best vocal work
+Zoopyzoop1002 It truly is. I am glad to see more fans embracing this album too.
+Zoopyzoop1002 And "Fixxxer", I would say. Definitely true.
right on
no best vocal is orion -_-
load and reload were awesome albums. my favorites next to and justice for all.
It's a real shame that so many Metallica fans are metal elitists who reject anything that does not conform to their narrow-minded view on music. and Lars is the most okayest drummer ever!
Word. Why hate Metallica or any of its members? 120m+ albums sold mean you can say "f--k you" to everyone and do as you please!
This song is so good.
ya love it
Hi Mladen Nikolic
Hey....guys.....
Nice song
:D
Thank god there's people who appreciate these albums and this song in particular, this is a masterpiece.
outlaw torn and bleeding me myfavorite from load album
also dhe lengthiest-eačh almost 10 minutes
The house jack built and thorn within deserves an honorable mention
I put Bleeding Me alongside many of my all time favorite songs by anyone. It's ridiculous.
What about Hero of the day? or Ain't my BillyWilly? Great songs those.
So what we're saying is that the album is amazing start to finish. :)
I've always interpreted this song as James' longing and missing of Cliff. Its sad, its long and lonely. Its a steady bass song, and the guitars weep into a crescendo of tears. That solo sends chills through my very existence, it's beautiful.
Dat bass... Jason, you're the man!
one of the best stoner songs ever and one of the best solos ever, especially when you are stoned :)
the most underrated metallica song ever! pure masterpiece. i miss newsted
i couldnt agree more with you jason its a addictive awesome song
This deserves to be humanity's theme.
It is.
Good call
people only dislike this album because they changed their look n sounds tbh metallica can slay any way they proved it music is music

I actually liked their appearance in the 90's. They looked like mobster cowboys.
I remember buying this on tape when it came out. All my metalhead friends had crucified Metallica but I really loved this album a lot. This song for example has that Black Sabbath feel to it, something you would have never heard on any previous Tallica album.
ryanexsus hey, so I'm not the only one who gets a sabbath vibe from it, sweet. Almost thought I was the only one
Where's the Black Sabbath in this?
Justin the vocal vibe and overall mood of this reminds me of planet caravan quite a bit.
For F's sake this is like a tribute song to Sabbath in Metallica world. I'm 53 years old, I need a chiropractor evertime I hear this tune from headbanging.
You are right on about the sabbath vibe.its the dirty gritty slow and grinding feel of doom and stoner metal or rock that BS pioneered.
That ending ....
Holy shit man, just metallica.
That solo James does at the end is awesome
Totally...
Pretty sure it's Kirk
Brian Bradley Jr. Nah it's James
And the bridge
This song is pure fire and darkness. I love it. The lyrics are poetic and brutally emotional. The playing is stellar. What more could you ask for? I rank this among Metallica's masterpieces.
6:59 gave me and my friends the chills... anyone else?
It always has and always will.
the whole guitar solo is from the centre of the spine...
dzabaleban nabelabadz You're completely right and that is a fantastic way of describing that feeling \m/
I call them "musical orgasms"
David Miller Eargasms ^.^

I couldn't have said that better myself.
iv never heard of this one before and im a huge metallica fan i love this song
Kahlen Albee A lot of Metallica fans try to avoid Load but I'm glad you love it. I love this one to death as well.
I can't believe how can someone say that Load/reload sucks, why...cause it's standing away from the norm, cause it's not trash?!
-YOu can feel the soul in these songs !!
Post-black albums do it better.
Amazing point.
Metallica fans can be such whiners it's a shame
Demon Rantz You mean Most metalheads fans from any metal band
Thrash*
Most powerful climax of any song I've heard. 6:50 to 7:30. Indescribably powerful.
try "straight to your face" by hatebreed
+Jeff Thrasher no
antiHUMANDesigns I love the pre-solo part of bleeding me. A great climax too!
best part is from 8:04 till the end
Great rights?

One who Knows a good piece when they see or hear it...KUDOS to you my friend
***** I go to bed listening to this stuff... I can't sleep if I don't.. :-)
paintings///
paintings indeed (monet&gauguin)))
***** thank you my friend, great music is great music, we age and it ages with us :)
So late to this party... anyway :
I think for the most part the musical genius of this album is far overshadowed by the band's name. I absolutely love Load. If you can disassociate this album from the band's previous style you might realize that for hard-rock it's probably one of the greatest albums. This album has traveled with me for more than half my life and every time I play it I always enjoy it...
Carry-on my good sir.
0:00 to 9:49 is the best part
Mine only goes to 9:48 - I MISSED SOME OF THE BEST BIT
Yup and the worst part is 9:50
:))))))
Just compare: ua-cam.com/video/-wl1B-ftmAg/v-deo.html
Andy H. Really??
Jason has some really good background vocals
This song has such a driving energy behind it yet it is relatively slow paced. The chorus is very powerful and I like how Lars remains "composed" during this piece without overembellishing it. However he could have done some double bass stuff towards at the end to give it more variety . Vocals are great.
yeah the lack of complex drumming is the big weakness of this era, and a big one generally after justice.
David James DOUBLE BASS-AHH
No words to describe the feelings I feel when I hear this song. Greetings from Argentina.
awesome song these two albums load and reload were so unique
and under-rated
William Pennell Not really it was basically the hard rock that was playing on rock radio at the time
This has to be the most underrated song in the history of music
I just listened to this song for the first time in over a year, and it really brings back memories, I'm kinda emotional now lol. That solo hits me hard every time. People can talk shit, but I think Load and ReLoad are just as good as the first 5 albums.
This, no, this album is horribly underrated.
Agreed. ..both Load and Reload are amazing METAL albums. Unfortunately, Tons of their fans want Master of Puppets again. ...
Rican GuitarGod most "fans" don't like change
Rican GuitarGod I guess I'm one of the few 'True' Metallica fans out there then. I own every album up to Death Magnetic and i love every one of them. Sure, Master of Puppets was great, but that doesn't make the rest bad. I kind of prefer Ride The Lightning to Puppets anyway.
Ride The Lightning does seem more raw and energetic than master of puppets.
Totally agree it's my favourite album don't care what anyone says ...
Those lyrics are so incredibly insanely well conceived.
The last 2 minutes of this album is fucking gold.
Nothing is more inspirational to me than that outro.
I think it's about Cliff dying. Just take the line:
"You make me smash the clock and feel...I'd rather die behind the wheel"
The day after Cliff died, James completely destroyed his hotel room and among the things he destroyed was an alarm clock.
Jontskuuuu poor James I feel so for him rip cliff
may be inspired , but lots of things pass in this story /lyrics...way i like it . Not limited. interpret it as you will.
Sabbath Ivan it’s also a book, ‘The outlaw of Torn.’ by Edgar Rice Burroughs.
That's not even close to correct, dumb fuck.
RiP cliff'...love the bass sound 😎
the mood setup by the bass and drumbeat. then add the mellowness of kirk's skills accompanied by the most flawless vocals james has ever had,,,it all makes this the perfect tune jack
Preach louder for the fucks in back
so true
this song is so deep... the end lyrics help me daily in my recovery. a person dying to change but knows the demon will always be buried inside. my wife and children are the ones who "pry my eyes open, beware, stitch me together, and remind me of what LEFT THIS OUTLAW TORN".........
Fuck, that's a great idea. I'm gonna take the good half of each album, put them together under one album, and delete the shit halves.
"Dhe Outlaw Torn" is bass-ically "Fade To Black II"
Kirk's guitar screams in pain at the loss of Cliff at 6:43.
''the outlaw'' Torn voted the most underrated Metallica song
My favourite metallica song :)
IT IS an AWESOME one!
i noticed you can find this comment on any metallica song.... then i realized you could find this comment on any metallica song
Efrain Hernandez probably because people that like the song a lot are more likely to comment on it...
My favorite as well.
Doesn't get much better than this.
drums parts is amazing ...
I air drum to this song
you can't honestly think 0:55 is good
Hang me, but I like Load and especially love this one here
Load was a great album
Metallica's haters gonna hate !
The Metal Worm aa
Fuck um
Metallica haters are eating my ass now
@@fotinospanos4143 I'm actually a St. Anger hater (let's make one thing straight here, st means shit).
i hate Metalica, but i like this song
Yep, i've been a die hard Metallica fan since '88, and this is without a doubt their most underrated album. I have rocked out to this in my car so many times over the years that i've lost count. I believe it's James' best ever lyrics and it has true rock 'n roll riffs. He poured his heart out on this, didn't give a f$%k about what the fans or so called critics thought.
8:04 has to be one of the creepiest riffs James had ever written. One of my all time favorites for sure.
love that part
"you make me smash the clock and feel / I'd rather die behind the wheel." this is probably obvious, but I never thought of the Cliff connection. I wonder if that's intentional
It's great that you can honor him with playing this song. I'd love to have Metallica played at my funeral, if only for those left behind. Everyone deserves to enjoy this AMAZING ROCK MASTERPIECE. BTW I am a life long die hard Metallica fan since I was a kid, and Load is my favorite album.
In the end...even LOAD was a great album.
Time renders justice.
if one listens carefully, this is James' voice back again today. Kudos James!
8:04 -> loop
One of my all time favorite songs from any band.
I love hanging with my brother in law's and jamming to some metallica!
When I listen to many of the Hardwire songs, I keep thinking of Outlaw Torn. Many Hardwire songs have that Load/Reload feel yet taken to an entire new level.
Sabbathian intro, grunge parfumes, doom, heavy and light, superb bass structure for a guitar splendour grand finale, the 90 years Metallica at their best,
This song is fucking AMAZING
One can tell what Metallica was going through when they made this album....the 'tell' is in Kirk's solo....arguably one the best and most guts out solos he's ever done!
this song is amazing......the lyrics in this are just somthing else.....why did people hate these albums? can somebody explain to me this?
*couldn/t
My ultimate love confession song. Without mentioning the word "love" once in its 10-minute-duration :) That's Metallica, they made my life so much better :)
cringe man...
There aren't many bands that have the guts to wait for the 4:45 mark to play the song's chorus for the first time, but then Metallica isn't most bands. "And if I start to come undone/stitch me together" might be the greatest lyrics ever written.
6:43 SPACE EPIC SOUND...
I love this song. I love this album. It's so different. Metallica experiment a new things... for me, it's a beautiful and authentic evolution.
I listen this album since 7 years and I still loving it....
This vs Fixxxer? They're both awesome album closers.
I like Fixxer a lil better, but both where awesome for me back then.
Fixxxer 😍
This is not just a music... This is THE music. I've already heard this song at least 100 times but never enough.
6:26 WAAARARARARARARARARAH WAAAAAAAH WAAAAAAH WAAAAAAAAAAH WAAAAAAAH WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH WAAAAAAAAAAH WAAAAAAAAH WAAAH WAAAAAAAAAAAAH, WHOOOOOOAH WHOOOOOOOOOOOAH WAAAAAAAAH WAAAAH WAAAAAAAAH, awesome wah solo
for me this is the most emotional album Metallica's ever made. And this is the only song, in metal, where a lead guitar solo brings me close to tears every time i listen to it
8:03 james' part \m/

The Outlaw Torn, Low man's lyric, Fixxxer and Loverman, most underrated Metallica songs. Master pieces!
love the lyrics
This is one absolute masterpiece! Never understood the hate towards Load and Reload. They've never stop challenging themselves with new and different projects. We evolved with them. For sure we are no longer angry wise-ass 17 years olds anymore. How can it be bad that they change their art as time goes by?
I liked both the load albums. Send me back to the front
BACK TO THE FRONT!
You will do, what I say, when I say...
BACK TO THE FRONT!
Montpelier Gun Club BACK TO THE FRONT
BEST song of all time!!! greatest song ever written, best group to sing it...seriously best song I have ever heard... MEtALLiCA is #1 band of all time
The end of this song is pure bliss.
Totally
I don't know if this whole album is underrated but this is definitely one the best Metallica songs ever!
tHANKS TO WHOMEVER PUT THIS TOGETHER. oNE OF MY FAVORITE AND AT THE VERY LEAST MOST UNHEARD, UNDERRATED SONG EVER. i stand by that!!! thanks man, I view this often ;)
My favorite Metallica song. It's so greatly arranged. Bravo!
this song and 'beautiful one of my favorites
This has to be one of the most under rated Metallica songs of ll time !!!!!
This is very similar to Halo on fire, I consider both two of their best songs ever.
hell yea. I was thinking that I would like this song to be played at my funeral. I thought the same for Halo on fire.
One of my favorite post-Black album songs! Played this over and over in college.
one of the best metallica tracks. best off load for sure
you're totally right, load is one of my favorite albums, everything is so perfect
