Good review, especially when you tell us your height, weight and waist size - the more detail the better. It can be difficult to know which pants to buy because you can't just walk into most bike shops and try them on. Thanks
Cheers! And yea, like Rich mentioned, we do free returns on apparel as long as it has the tags and hasn't been ridden in! That way you can make sure it's the right fit.

I’m 6’ usually wear 34 inseam. I ordered the Defend Pro 38. Should these fit? I don’t recall seeing an option for the inseam.
Love the joy during this run. Love the review. Very thorough.
Love the Steely Dan!
Was so glad you guys said the waist size and height. I really liked the deffend pros and loved how they fit on the guy exactly wut I was after.
Dyneema has a natural cool touch and is extremely light. Excellent pick for trail riding. Enjoyed the comparison, well done! Greetings from Dyneema - The Worlds Strongest Fiber.
Really helpful review, thanks guys! The "yew" in unision at 9:50 made me laugh!
Yew!!
Great review ya guys ! I like that fact that you had different rider body profiles from Hulk size bodies to smaller bodies. I'm more on the Hulk size like Sam and those Fox Rangers looked DIALED on him. Thanks for the review.
Cheers!
Nice work guys.. I've been wondering which Fox trail pants to select and your video gave me a clue
Glad we could help give you some clarity! If you have any other questions don't hesitate to reach out to our customer service team at sales@fanatikbike.com
Thumbs up for the intro alone
That was a good comparison I whent with the top of the line .flex air pro . I do wear knee pads under them. I love them getting ready to go on my first big trip with them also . An really put them through a test.
Good stuff, nice work Rich
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it!
Dude the big guy can ride - great to see. Mtb’ing isn’t for only the skinny XS frame riders
Thumbs up for Steely and of course the britches review.
Thanks!
Great tune!
Dyneema comes from the Netherlands!🇳🇱
They need colors like the 360 and 180 mx pants
Exactly.. Since the early 90’s I’ve used MX or BMX jerseys and pants for DH races and rides. As recent when MTB gear became more available I’ve transitioned.. I still wear MX jerseys because of the variety of colors.. Just don’t care to look like I’m Outback jack hiking in the current MTB focused granola gear..
Combined the pants in this video cost as much as my ZEB. This is why I ride in Costco pants.
Great intro!!!
Thanks!! Wait to you see our next full-length video ;)

So you kids know about Steely Dan, huh. And you all for sure know about the man of steel Dan. The FOX ride gear engineers originally weren't gonna use any Cordura fabrics then it dawned on them that there was good chance that Dan over a Fanatik would be product testing their stuff. So now whenever a world cup DH racer crashes while in FOX riding gear and is able to get right back up and continue unscathed the only words coming out of their mouth is, "thank you Dan!"
T'ain't that the truth! Sometimes you can catch a glimpse of Greg Minnaar or Jackson Goldstone uttering those very words after a crash, although it can be hard to see it through their full face.

Flexair is super tight, almost like leggings. I have pearl izumi pants and the fit is not even close.
You like the fit of the pearl izumi's?
@@-ethan- so much better with fit and finish compared to fox
Nicely tapered so that all water is channeled into your socks for a day out with wet socks :)
Can you do one on the shorts line-up?
7:56 those trousers/pants are too short for the rider in this shot.
Curious how these Fox pants fit. I am a 34 waist with 32" inseam, but with my current Troy Lee Skyline Pants, I wear a 32 as the fit is spot on as in the length and not too tight in the waist/hips.
They are pretty spot on with sizing. 34 is the move
STEELY DAN!
Great video, I'm probably looking at getting a pair of defend pants, I'm about 5'10" and 160lbs, I wear 30 32 jeans so I'm a little worried about the sizing, the 30 would be better for the waist size but the length is only 28", the 32 has a 34" waist which would probably be a little big, but the length is a little longer, any insight into what size I should get, I don't really want to buy a pair and then have it be the wrong size, Thanks
Can you fit kneepads okay underneath the flex air pros? Looking pretty tight in there.. maybe the lopro sleeve type?
yes, you can, im riding in flexair with fox kneepads LAUNCH D3O, perfect fit (Size of flexair is 30, im 5,9). Lopro sleeve type good for Specialized trail pants (bcs they are tooo tight)
Great video, am curious to know which knee pads were worn to know what fits under. Ie. hard (poc vpd) or soft (g-form) knee pad styles.
Thanks! Pretty wide variety. Mostly soft kneepads of various models. Here's the ones I remember:

You should have mentioned inseam, and showed this.
I bought a specialized and a fox defend, I got a big bum, so they all feel like really low waist high croch and super uncomfortable.
Any body know a brand of high waist low crotch ?thanks
What bikes were you guys riding?
Rich is on an alloy stumpy evo, sam on a carbon transition spire, BK on an alloy Transition Patrol and Dan was on the Revel Ranger
Cool video guys. What are the shoes that Dan in green pants is wearing please?

One thing I've found is that the toe box is narrower than I like. I have friends and coworkers that love them though. (I did bike across Europe in them, so it wasn't a hugely problematic thing).

Anyone have any recommendations for pants for hot weather? I'd rather have a super breathable pair I can just layer in the cooler months.
We got two of these for our daughters ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L the same size for age 6 and 9. It works very well for both girls. Gears were very easy for them to learn. Changing gears up takes some hand strength and is a bit hard, but they are learning. They did not come with water bottle holders- we actually got confused and thought the Derailler Guard was the bottle holder!! Regardless of these details, the bikes are fantastic- even our six year old who only just learned to ride bikes caught on within an hour of practice and loves it. Lightweight and easy for them to handle. All the parts are in excellent condition and the bikes are easy to assemble and very well packaged. Great choice for kids!
Could you do the same for the jackets?
In my opinion 3rd pants looks better than all of them but TOP FOX pants are looks as a stinky old grannies pants OMG)))
Which one for a 34 inseam? I can do a 34 or 36 waist depending on the pant.
I'm all legs and that Flex Air Pro pant was nice and long. I'd check that one out. You'll probalby be ok rocking the 34 waist. I had the 32 waist and they Flex Air Pro was plenty long for riding
-Rich @ Fanatik
Sort of expensive. I can buy a lot of parts $100-$300.
Crazy expensive tbh
The higher the price the faster the bum wears through.
zero protection, because safety is over rated for peepz that want to flex how cool they are
There cool but being a bigger buy not by
Much mind you anything over a 38
Waist yer done for and have no choice in what you wear you need to then move on to work clothes for that extra sizes
Same as everything fox don't want fatties ruining the brand name
But they would sell and be much more respected if they did do the bigger sizes for bigger riders as we aren't all twigs who ride!
