Honestly? Glad I didn't wait for the Bronco and bought my Mojave. No way in hell I trade in what I get on my Mojave in terms of fun, performance, and practicality. Jeep built the perfect truck for my needs.
SouthTX JT: Same for me (2021 Gladiator Rubicon)...but even if the Bronco had already been back when I got my Gladiator (April 2021), it wouldn't have mattered as it can't tow enough (only 3500lbs, same as the Jeep Wrangler) -- I needed at least 5000lbs. Had (and still have) zero interest in a full-size truck such as a Raptor, Power-Wagon, TRX, etc. (or else I would have gotten one). Mine's stock and will stay that way... -- BR

I would have loved a 5.7 Hemi option on it, I think it would fit the application of a JT perfectly but honestly won't complain with my 3.6 Pentastar. Anything over a 5.7 Hemi is overkill to me. the 392 JL is cool but too much for what you need if you ask me. Like you, I had no interest in a full size truck. Did look into JLs and Broncos. Thank God I went with my JT. Best decision ever (In my circumstances).

The aftermarket alone is worth price of admission. But disco sway bar, front and rear lockers, amazing transfer case, ability to go 35 with no mods needed. And hell just the cool factor. I'm sure you made a way better decision with the JTR.
Owned my Rubicon for 9 months wouldn't trade it for anything :) I am happy with the 3.6 for what it is, with the automatic transmission it has plenty off the line torque, WAY better than the previous 3.6 2016 Tacoma.
Ordering a Mojave now after seeing them tear up the dunes at silver lake in MI this past weekend after my Willys was totalled (not at silver, lol!) Still wish they offered them with the 5.7L! Would be a Raptor competitor all day long! The cold air intake on the 3.6 is pretty throaty tho...
A few months ago sold my 2017 F-450 Platinum back to the dealer - for exactly what I paid for it 4 1/2 years ago, value of used vehicles is nuts right now! Then converted my reservation for a 2021 Bronco to an order, you know, with the complete unobtainium package, probably won't see it until well into 2022, more likely 2023. Got tired of all the component parts delays and MIC roof defect reports, went to the local Jeep dealer to test drive a Gladiator and was pleasantly surprised at how nice it drove, ordered a Rubicon Gladiator in Granite Crystal, can't wait till it arrives.
Reserved a Bronco Wildtrak last year July and still haven’t received a build date. I was going to be ok with the MIC top, but hell no to the soft top. Now that I see all the issues with the MIC top I would only want the painted tops, and that won’t be til 2023. So instead I found a gladiator Overland in Sarge green, slapped a 4” lift with 37s, bumpers and a winch and honestly I’ve pretty much forgotten about the bronco. It’s a totally different animal but I love the utility and size of the gladiator.

35s are great on the gladiator, my new ones just came in the day the Willys was sunk. I noticed just a hint of gear hunting on road, nothing weird on the trails or sand. I'm also going for the premium soft top on the mojave as I won't be driving it in winter much... the seat/position is rough, but I won't be road tripping too often either. Great following you with the Jeep, can't wait for Bronco reviews!
@@dantimber I had 17x9 in steel wheels with a 4.5 in backspacing. 1.5 in front leveling kit from Terraflex. I have seen people do it with no leveling kit, which may be fine for on raid use only, but I offloaded mine with the leveling kit and the larger bumps tops the $100 kit came with and hit the bumpstops maybe once or twice in 4 or 5 trips.
Seat adjustment is probably my biggest complaint ... there isn't enough angle or lift adjust of the seat pad. Desert Does It has some spacers that really help, but regardless of vehicle ... it's 2022 ... all seats should have infinite adjustment... powered or non. Outside of that criticism my JT has been rock solid.
I traded in my F150 for a 2023 Gladiator Mojave and never looked back. I only tow a 1000lb ATV now so I have no use for a full size truck anymore. This thing is awesome. You were saying it's kind of long but after my F150 the Gladiator feels like I'm parking a Honda Civic.
Good video! I have a 21 Wrangler JLU Willys. It’s awesome but i always had fullsize trucks before. I don’t need a fullsize so i have been thinking of trading for the Gladiator. So many options and mods it endless. I’ll never get bored! 😂
I have the gladiator rubicon, changed my bronco order in June to get my bronco this year and didn't hear anything from Ford . So at the end of June I bought the gladiator. Love the gladiator . Then last week I get my build date for the Bronco and now im trying to figure out how to keep both 😊

Not sure how I just came across this video, and I already know you have the Bronco. But I hear a lot of folks say the seats are not comfortable, I drove my Sport S JLU 3.6 from Arizona to Georgia straight stopped for gas and to check the bathroom facilities along the way (25 hrs) I had no issues with comfort, just under 6ft. But I did only get 16-17 MPG. So Yes I got lazy and traded it in for a 2021 JLUR 2.0t 4cyl and amazed at the mpg with 35's and 2inch lift. yet I got tired of getting out and disconnecting the sway bar, so what I'm getting old. lol and love the 8.4 inch screen. I wanted a Gladiator but I do tow and do haul stuff and I'm a brand guy so I bought the 2021 Ram 1500 and the Jeep for most people is really nothing but an adult toy. Hope you're enjoying that bronco.

@@matbasterson2128 6'3" is pretty tall! I could see where that could be an issue in a Gladiator. I'm 5'10" and also own a Frontier. There's probably 5-6" above my head so it's a good fit for you in a mid-size truck.
To tell you the truth Dave after my four year lease I really don’t see me turning LouWanda in, she’s mine now and no regrets. You’re right the seats are a downfall on a long trip so that’s my next upgrade.
Ford is/was working on a bronco version but couldn’t make it work so they shelved it for now. I think they were running into wheelbase and chassis issues because it essentially would be a longer ranger (since the bronco shares the same scram as the ranger).

Been looking at alot of reviews, seriously considering buying one. Here's what I've learned so far: it costs more than a full sized, and does less. Tires, parts, labor, & insurance are petty much the same for all pickup trucks. When I have $$ that I don't need to live....sure....
No full size, or any pickup has the off road capability of the Gladiator so no it doesn't "do less" when it can go further off the pavement than any other pickup.
@@alancadieux2984 Well it's a Jeep truck not at F-350, I think over 7,000 lbs is good for an off road vehicle and enough for me but yeah definitely not the best truck for towing very heavy large trailers etc.

The 2020 and 2021 Jeep Gladiators all models are developing leaking axle seals on primarily the rear drivers side. Jeep knows this and are replacing the axles under warrenty. There is a good chance that a recall is coming soon.
Dana produces their axles and they are constantly strained from working 7 days a week, along with labor shortage, covid, and a union strike is in stride.
@@adamj3086 That is understandable but right now what they have produced for the Gladiator has been faulty. There are so many that it is just short of a recall notice being issued by Jeep. Or at least that is the opinion of most in the groups and forums.

I have a Snazzberry 2dr Rubicon! People really love it! The 8.4 screen with the Alpine system is amazing! It connects wireless.

My 2021 Jeep Willys is awesome. I m 6’ and it fits perfectly.
6 foot here too, and the seating position is acceptable, but if you hav longer legs, short torso, I can see where the problems begin.

Did you have to do a lift or wheel spacers to fit the 35's? Stock wheels?

That’s a great question.. We just wrapped up of the gladiator next to a new Nissan Frontier and it’s a little longer
Th3 gladiator is about 218 and the silverdao can go from 230 to 260 inches based on the models

Ypu are right there are better options yet the doors and roof can come off for fun drives.. Its not for everyone.. That is for sure

Just had mine replaced on the drivers side 2016 JKU 58,000 miles. Had the extended warranty, covered.
