As I write my Script, I go on UA-cam to get some ChillHop music to vibe to..all while Yawning, and this popped up on my notifications. Thank You... . 3 pages a day sounds good, who down for the challenge???
The first time I ever experienced writer's block was day one writing the first screenplay I was hired to write. My brother and I had a 15 page treatment approved by the network and we were given the greenlight to start. I couldn't write a thing. I just stared at the screen for an entire day. Thankfully that only lasted for one day and has never happened again. it was so strange to realize I was writing words that were 100% going to be filmed and performed and I was getting paid for this and I just completely froze.
This video came up on one of the days I'm having a lot of trouble thinking about my future with writing and screenwriting. It really helped, so thank you for this.
Great to see Jack on again. He's awesome. Ive just bought ON WRITING because of this. Love what he said about the addiction to being "jacked up" and relating it to writing because for me physical training and diet go hand in hand with writing. Also loved that bit about "a real writer stays on that diet his whole life" as my writing is motivated by getting something I can shoot as opposed to writing being my ultimate dream.
I finally got a roll on after almost 6 months of being stagnant. I wrote 30 pages in two days and then another 5 last night. Currently up To 65 pages with a clear ending in sight. Looking to reach between 80-90 pages for my first draft. It’s been a long, rocky path but I’m determined to finally finish it.
Originally, I wrote in scenes like stage plays. Then I purchased Syd Field and screenwriting for dummies. Been writing better since then. Currently writing two stories. Took two days off reasonably. Might write some time today in my current time zone.

Keia John I’ve been writing now for a few years but only started to take it seriously since losing my job. Is it hard to get a agent in the us?

Didn't know that Gary Oldman is also a screenwriter.
DinosaurFilms I know you might be joking but Gary Oldman actually co-wrote the original Total Recall.
Just learned that the other day!
@@ramfilmathat’s Gary Goldman, not Gary Oldman.

Keep writing!
I'm finishing .
I've taken things from a number of books and synthesized them into my own system.
What's the name of the Stephen King book they're talking about at the beginning?

Hi. What do you mean you wrote scenes like stage plays? And how have you improved the writing of your scenes?
@@Bewareofthewolves I meant like scene but scene, not page by page. I would say I improved in dialogue, description and structure...

Easy to finish one if you have enough ideas... hard if you don't
