I bought a Rocket Bobber and didn't think it was over priced at all and it's my favorite bobber. In fact, I gave away the other plastic bobbers I had and now only have Rocket Bobbers. Love the fact that it's made in the USA (one reason I bought it)!! This is a great item!
Great product. Worth the price for sure. I mastered fishing a clip-on pencil/panfish bobber 40 yrs ago. This exceeds the performance of those old bobbers. The ability to read the angle and movement of this type of bobber is ideal. Also, thanks for pointing out the disgorger feature. This is a very well thought out piece of tackle.
I found one while I was finishing looked it up on UA-cam and started fishing with it. Now I have half a dozen and the rocket bobber is the only bobber I use. Love the fact they are made in the USA
Absolutely a great add to your bobber collection. I also use it with a heavier jig that makes it stand up in deep water. I will cast towards shore or over a weed bed that is shallower the my setup. then drag it in and when it stands up I know I'm over the edge of the drop off or just out of the weeds. Deadly method. .
Bobbers are super sensitive. I've caught fish I would have missed with other bobbers. I use 4lb fluorcarbon for clear water conditions where I fish. Be careful when setting bobber depth of winding the line on the spring hook, I've found it creates a weak point in the line causing it to break with a hard hook set. Probably best if used as a slip bobber.
I was having the same issue. When wrapped around the top a couple times it will create a weakpoint in the line and i have broken them off at this point when casting. Is there any work-around?
I was having a little tough day today catching fish and I had a rocket bobber mybox. I went on and broke it out and about a foot and a half behind it I put a little small popping bug a fly rod popping bug and I was catching fish almost every cast. I didn't have my fly rod with me and it's pretty windy but with the bobber and the popper behind it had a great day.
One friends gave me one there just amazing so I brought 3 more of them there realy hard to find since he out town I can't not get more I wounder if you have on line store to get more .
Hey Alex, the ultra-lite bobber will lay flat when using lite weight pan fish bait presentations (1/64 to 1/32 ounce). Hook-worm or minnow, ice jig-waxie and so on. As a slip bobber it will stand vertical with a 1/16 ounce jig and bait. This works well when fishing suspended fish over cribs, structure ect. Those weights will change depending on what size bobber you are using (Ultra-lite, pan fish or game fish series. If you have any further questions please feel free to email us at sales@tackle2000.com. Good luck fishing!
i am confused, if its laying horizontal(fixed or slip)and the fish makes a positive bite then the floater will stand vertical indicating a bite ,ok that makes sense but what happens if it's a negative bite? it will remain horizontal and you wont know if you got a bite,, so it needs to be sitting vertical in order to either detect a positive or negative bite ,aside from casting distance i dont see how this bobber is any different than others with fix/slip function when it comes to detecting negative or positive bites it all depends on your rig setup , i thought there was some kind of weight shifting in the bobber which had to do with this but it seems like any other bobber
He said the Rocket Bobber will last you a lifetime, but within a few minutes of fishing those kids I took fishing two weeks ago lost all 4 of my Rocket Bobbers to brush piles and tree overhangs! So much for that lifetime claim and there went $16 worth of bobbers! 😭😡 Next time go with the cheap stuff when you take kids fishing!
One design fault. On the "slip float" set up. It requires a HUGE bobber stop on your line in order to function. Therefore you will NOT be able to run this bobber stop through guides on your rod on the cast. Therefore this is NOT a functional slip bobber. Only in your dreams.

Bought my first rocket bombers years ago at a fishing show in Pontiac Michigan. Best bobber ever. Only trouble is easy to lose.
Hands down best bobber I have ever used.

I look forward to buying and using these. Looks like a great product.
Definitely the best bobber on the market!
Thank you for staying true to America.
this bobber is great I use it on a short rod that allows me to take it back packing. and still be able to cast a good distended
Very sensitive but works really well with light lures I throw little trout magnet grubs under it and works well.
They work great Thanks

Thx for the tip on making it not slip.
I used a 1/16 jig as said to but it seems to be adding weight to the bobber. When it hits the water it doesn't lay flat. Any suggestions ?
I love this product. I loose them before I break them.

I buy them cause they’re made in the USA but I use them cause they work Excellent
i got a question i never get the bobber sideways on the water tried thousands of sinkers still did not work i got the small rocketbobber please help
You need light jighead, 1/64- 1/32 oz, no heavier, no additional weights or it will stand up

Hey Ken just saw another post say Alex that's what I put but you are the one's in the video
I bought one of each size and tried them all. NEVER did any of them act any different than any cheap bobber.
You need to learn how to fish. Bought 12 of them and they work as advertised with no problems.
You are demonstrating your lack of fishing skills.

Keep the bobbers and get better kids.
No one can guarantee long lasting gear in the hands of unsupervised kids and brainless adults.

Put a bead on the line then bead runs to bobber stop
Google how to set up a slip bobber. You need. need.
Get outside the box
Any bobber will work ... Dont need to be a rocket bobber... My thing can u see it well if you cast far away...
Don't be buying those Chinese bobbers!
You're clueless
You don't fish enough, if you think any float will do.
