  • 19 years after Harry, Ron, and Hermione saved the Wizarding World, they’re back on a most extraordinary new adventure - this time, joined by a brave new generation that has only just arrived at the legendary Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Prepare for spectacular spells, a mind-blowing race through time, and an epic battle to stop mysterious forces, all while the future hangs in the balance.
This one-of-a-kind theatrical experience is packed with “thrilling theatricality and pulse-pounding storytelling” (The Hollywood Reporter). It will leave you “audibly wowed, cheering and gasping” (The Telegraph), as “visions of pure enchantment send shivers down your spine” (Rolling Stone). “You’ll be wondering ‘how’d they do that?’ for days to come” (People Magazine).

@GameplayWanderer What? They have chemistry and a better foundation for romance than their fathers ever had (for the record, I don't get "Drarry," at all).
I also wouldn't have mind Scorpius' last minute interest in Rose Weasley if they hadn't rewritten her character to be awful.

Saw the play this afternoon. My kids are obsessed whereas I have limited knowledge of the series. We all LOVED it. The performances were superb but the effects are out of this world. The dementors are almost beyond comprehension. The production design and lighting is phenomenal. As for the story, I really enjoyed it and the play rattled along and didn’t feel 3 hours long. My daughters absolutely loved it as did my wife and I.

To those who have only read the script without seeing it live -- there are MANY plays that are quite boring on paper (just reading the script), but really come alive when actors are able to interpret the work. That is the case with CURSED CHILD. I did not care for the story or the script too much when I first read it years ago. However, seeing it on stage was a completely different experience. Story beats, character moments -- stuff I had never thought of suddenly made sense and came alive. This is a story that is meant to be experienced live.

I read the script and I disliked the story. It was inconsistent to the 7 books and Harry Potter canon. The story has plot holes and plot conveniences. The main character is not Harry Potter. I have a question to anyone who has watched Harry Potter and the Cursed Child parts 1 and 2. I thank anyone who can shed a light into this matter.
I have bought tickets to see this play on the Palace Theatre in London with my parents on March. We will be travelling from Spain. The case is that my mother had a surgical procedure in her back some time ago, for the relief of pain and other symptoms that occur when a herniated disc in the spine presses on an adjacent nerve root. So basically she can't be seated during too much hours. Of course she will make an effort for this special occasion, but taking into account that both parts last two and a half hours, I am afraid she might can't make it. I made sure to buy tickets for the Dress Circle, which I understand is the best, but still...
So my question is, in case she didn't have a good day with the pain... which part is worthier watching, One or Two? And I am only talking in terms of special effects (spells and stuff) since she doesn't speak English anyway, she is going simply to witness an spectacular play. She is a GREAT Harry Potter fan.
