"Cause you're out here capturing pokémon, but in reality, you're the one getting captured, captured by the beauty of it all" So glad you're enjoying this game Quinn, it's awesome to see you discover the magic of pokémon for the first time 😁 Can't wait for part 4!!
It is marvelous! Every time I hop on the game, I’m like “why haven’t I played this?!?!” But it’s also fun to share it with y’all at the same time Thanks for the support!
Useful to know -- damaging moves come in two Categories: *"Physical"* and *"Special".* "Physical" draws power from the user's "Attack" stat, but is reduced by the target's "Defense" stat. Similarly, "Special" draws power from the user's "Sp.Atk" stat but is reduced by the target's "Sp.Def" stat. A Pokemon's attack and defense stats will sometimes favor one Category over the other -- for your Pokemon, you can check this on their status screen (in or out or combat). No need to fuss over their _exact_ stat numbers, just give them a quick glance to see if they're fairly balanced, or if one is noticeably higher than the other. Knowing this preference can help you get the most out of whatever moves a Pokemon might want to learn.
Haha yeah that’s what some people were telling me about Gengar Sometimes I’ll look at an attack and go “ooo 120 power?!?” While forgetting that the particular in question is better at special attack😂 Thanks for the info! still learning haha👍🏾
@@enqore_ Haha, I'm a veteran and _still_ sometimes get these mixed up! In one game, I have a Pokemon called Leafeon on my team with a Grass move called "Magical Leaf" that didn't seem to be doing near as much damage as it should be (even for a mid-power move) -- then I noticed the move was Special damage, on a Pokemon whose stats favor Physical damage. Oops!

(Arven is a druggie btw)
I’ve seen those stakes before and when I try to pull them out the ground, they always crumble lol
