Only thing that I saw that I knew and you were not sure about was it was a 67 mustang coupe. I would love to see some 67 or 68 fastbacks! Thanks for showing us by the way. I grew up with an auto wrecking yard. Loved it!
The best time to go to a yard like this is in the dead of winter after the leaves fall off the trees & the snakes & bees are hibernating but just before the snow flies. You can see stuff you can`t see in the warm months.
@@HotRodHoarder Yeah we realized that before we even got out of the truck didnt we. Lol.
It is refreshing to hear a young man so knowledgeable on classics. As an owner of a '67 Marlin, I was thrilled he knew what he was looking at. You Are Cool !! God Bless Car Guys !
Yes sir, I think it's great that they provide limited access to the place. There were a couple guys there buying parts while I was there, and it sounds like they're pretty regular customers.
Wow! That place is an absolute gold mine. I have never seen a salvage yard with so many cool cars. Brought back lots of fond memories. I would be like a kid in a candy store there. A spoiled kid, at that. 3 hours would not be enough time, for me to enjoy all of that eye candy. Thanks for the video. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Wish more videos were like this, slow camera pans, looking inside and around the cars, consistent sound levels, commentary that states facts rather than guesswork and no favouritism toward one marque or brand. Nice work.
For sure...I saw so many cars from my childhood in there. Even the non-exciting stuff was still interesting to me because I remember those types of cars when they were still on the road.
@@HotRodHoarder so many Chevettes, escorts, an smaller cars . And as we were leaving they told us we basically went to the worst part, they said oh all the good stuff is down there
These places are getting harder and harder to find with access. They just crushed hundreds of old iron in an old limited access junkyard outside a small town in south eastern Colorado. Fortunately i was able to visit it many times when i was younger. But all gone now. Enjoy them while they last.
I remember going to a scrap yard when I was a kid, called Harry Eastersons scrap yard near Eau Claire WI. It was just full of 50s, 60s and early 70s cars. The most awesome place on planet earth. 100s of vintage cars. Unfortunately Harry passed and it all got scrapped. How sad....😕
Yes, exactly! I always have this bittersweet feeling at an old school junkyard. Thinking about how these cars could've been saved, but also appreciating the history.
Not a muscle car, but I saw a Mercury Lynx. My family had one from 81-84. 😄😄Brought back some memories. LOTS of awesome cars there! Wow! Love those Chevelles. The 70-72 are my favorite years. Thanks for sharing!

Just found this channel c/o Hemmings. Very cool, and good narration. Although there are definitely some 'diamonds in the rough' nestled in those woods, you would need an SH-3 Sea King to get them out. Crazy.
Now that is a blast from the past that 67 Camaro ID. Say some one got hurt in that car and that Chevelle with the bucket seats wow great video thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching David. I loved all the old Chevys tucked away in the woods...so much cool stuff. I'm looking forward to making another trip over there.
I love junkyard crawls, but seeing so many cool rides that was once someone's pride and joy, and some that could be again, just rotting away sure does make me sad.

Yeah, I was pretty worried about snakes. I probably should've made this trip in the winter time. This is pretty much the perfect conditions and location for copperheads. And that would not be a fun day at the junkyard.
that 70 mustang looks like a Mach1, its got tabs for the Mach1 rocker trim. ive never seen so many 80s ford escorts lol, you just dont see them anymore, where you spotted that big block chevy with the chrome valve cover, you should grab those slot mags with the old slicks on them
8:02. That body style of Thunderbird’s first year was 1967 and didn’t change much for the next 3 years. We had one one that looked like this when I was a kid. It has the Landau style roof option. You can see the remnants of a sweeping S shape that starts at the back top of the back door. There used to be a chrome S shaped trim piece (called a landau bar) with a badge in the center of it. The doors are suicide style, in that the back doors open “backwards”. Our particular car actually had alligator skin pattern on the vinyl roof from the factory. The backseats of these cars actually curved in the corners. Ours was a fully loaded dealer demo with all kinds of electronic goodies and a 429 thunderjet. Wild cars!
