@@kaitheguy5529 I did, and it appears as I stated, yours must be a translation error (Or mine, who knows) but sounds way better Yuji saying "Return to my body and I'll let you live a bit longer" Than a boring "I'll spare you", Yuji HATES Sukuna.

Yuji is not only enlightened, he is truly the only one who started seeing through jujutsu and point of life itself. He isn't becoming the strongest because he despises Sukuna anymore or because he is a cog in an endless cycle. He is simply choosing to live this life and is fully embracing it while having others in mind, similar to Gojo. Sukuna is just an obstacle on the way. He pities him for being so emotionless, empty, and without real purpose. Gojo was there to set an example of being the strongest, Yuji is here to represent hope and the good of humanity. That's why he will win. Not because he is bound to hateful emotions, but because he sees life from a completely different perspective than others. His domain will have something to do with the soul. It will be a bit of everything, I guess.

Yuji's mistake was to provoke Sukuna to summon the merger. Yuji has to pay the price cause instead of seeing the bigger threat Merger,he proceeded to threaten Sukuna to save Megumi's life lol. Sukuna will break Yuji's ideals and soul completely and then he would claim his authority over Yuji's body.Then Sukuna will die fighting the merger along with Yuji.
