    Just got one today!
    IMPRESSED!!!
    I already like it better than my 30 yr old "Leatherman"!
    At this price get 2 !
    I'm "Older" at 74 and rertired!
    I've always tried to be as close to a Renaissance man as possible.
    You know, a "MacGyver" of today! Independent, expert in at least "Something" and a Journeyman in MANY!
    Having a Tool-kit with me at all times is just "ME"!
    I now have One on my Work-around the house pants and another afixed to my Going to the Doctor's pants! LOL

    I'm not really into the clone Waves but this looks extremely cool. This is something I would buy for myself. I've been carrying my second- generation Leatherman Wave as my main carry since last month. I like my Leatherman Arc but the Wave I would still prefer over the two models. The GOAT and Roxon Flex are my favorite modular tools. I've been tinkering with them at home.

    Don't really see anything about this that makes it worth getting. I have a bibury they are 7cr which is actually better then 420hc. 5cr is about the same as 420hc.

  • @RandoWisLuL
    @RandoWisLuL 22 дні тому +1

    I bought one. Its definitely not as good as a Wave. Definitely made from the same crappy 5cr Chinese steel as the rest of HF knives and is pretty soft. The only thing that might compare is the bits since Leatherman bits are crap to begin with.... I use Wiha with the Leatherman. This clone looks good though.
    Bottom line: if you don't care about the steel, if you are just a Walmart gun section knife kind of guy, this will probably be fine but don't beat on it because it will break and deform. You'll be sharpening the blades A LOT if you use them. If you are a former Leatherman guy, premium knife guy or just looking for a second Wave/Wave+ without the cost, pass on it. You'll be disappointed.
    Icon knife people tried to hype the knife up to being comparable to a Benchmade which its Chinese D2 tool steel is nothing compared to Benchmade USA SV40/SV90. Same thing is happening here. Just be aware. Its a good clone of the Wave, if you put it in the Amazon clone category.

  • @Bethany415
    @Bethany415 Місяць тому +4

    It may be beating a dead horse, but how much would an 8CR13MoV blade add to the cost? I mean, 8Cr isn't particularly good, but 5Cr? Why do multitool companies insist on using the junkiest steel they can find? Feh!

    make the hammer test. don't just talk about the problems with the Wave. Prove that the different system is better. Somehow I doubt it.
    More interesting is how well the magnet is when having a screw on it.
    And...the generel testing. Test it. Use it. You can't compare some 40 bucks garbage with Leatherman when not testing if the plier can handle the same strength.
    And why do you think cutting some cord is a good test for scissors? I know it's done by many. But that just proves there are many idiots out there on UA-cam. Everyone whould cut a robe or cord with the knife.
    Well...probably it's just me thinking scissors are useless on pocket knifes. You'll never have a scissor that can do what a scissors are needed for. Like cutting straight. These tiny shitty scissors will never cut a paper straight through. It will always have edges.
