I have been in online Coach Mode Leagues since 2002. Almost every iteration of Madden has had Coach Mode. It was very popular among football fanatics when Madden was on PC or gets released on PC. We’re on Season 67 in one of my leagues.
When will you be bringing more about the coach mode. I’ve used it in my Franchise league. It is inconsistent. Wondering if it works better with QBs with better awareness when allowing the QB to throw for you?
Jacob. I have an issue with cpu qbs just holding onto the ball. Is there a sweet spot in awareness that will keep them from doing this? Like they just drop back, drop back some more and wait to get sacked. Did a new franchise and had cpu pass block on like 75 but still had 9 sacks because Trevor Lawrence wouldn’t throw the ball
Go to the menu where you can edit everything, and then go to the player characteristics tab. Change sense of pressure to ideal if they are good at sending pressure, or average if they aren't. Always put their throw ball away to yes, and then in QB style change it to scrambling so they can run out of the pocket.
Ok so I literally would hate when that would happen but I figured it out bro. Okay so if you have a franchise go to roster, then go to the player you want to see who’s archetype is. So if I wanted to see if Lamar is a scrambling archetype I would go to roster click on him it should show his height, weight, age, And all that stuff right. Below that it says player archetype whatever archetype is the highest ovr will be their archetype and that’s how they will play. It should be like a football there and if they have everything at 99 whatever is a scheme fit for that team is how they will play. Strong arm qbs will throw down field more than the other archetype like 15 yards and more. Improvisers scramble sorta kinda and roll out but are always looking to pass the ball when they roll out. Scramblers roll out but most of the time just take off rather than looking for an option to open up. Then field generals sit in the pocket and just throw check downs honestly they are the worse qb archetype in the game but I do think field generals make audibles and change the play to better beat the defense. However field generals and strong arms do not roll out the pocket at all and sometimes they do just back up it all depends. But if you want your qb to be a certain archetype either make the archetype you want them to the highest ovr out of all the other archetypes or just change the teams scheme to whatever type of qb that scheme needs. However that only works when all the archetypes are basically a 99 on the qb. But honestly just make a certain archetype the highest ovr if you wanna see the qb develop.
@@kelvzx so basically I made trey lance a 99 and and put the scheme to scramble and he does not scramble and just takes hits in the pocket and it’s so annoying the only time he scrambled is when I put it in broadcast mode but I want to pick the play.
Coach mode does more than just throw the ball. A lot of people use this seating to help them compete in Madden. Experiment with it and see for yourself. Players global setting supersede the franchise settings.
It carries over to franchise mode as well. I wish they'd just fix it so it's a real coach mode, so I don't have to snap. More half baked development from EA.
@@mikek0909 hmmmmm interested....can you do coach mode for both teams? I.E. playing with 2 controllers and do a coach mode for both teams offense and defense?.
This is my preferred way of playing Madden. In my group of friends, everyone would watch the game for a Tom Brady or a Peyton Manning. I was the one guy who would watch it for a Bill Belichick or a John Harbaugh. I know, I'm lame. 😂
@@craiger3693 Sorry to break it to you but I was never really good at sliders so I just used the default Rookie, Pro, All Pro, and All Madden sliders. I'm sure you can find someone who has made a good slider set for CPU vs CPU action. But I always went with All Pro if that helps. It always seemed to be a good balance.
Madden is just horrible. They’ve catered to the mut users who spend millions on useless cards, that don’t follow you from game to game. Franchise hasn’t changed in 15 years it seems. My last madden was 17 and it was decent, watching these videos makes me steer clear of these games even at a big discount right now ($12 at my local game store).
"Coach Mode" in Madden is horrible. The QB will throw but he won't actually try to avoid sacks or scramble like he would in a slow sim. You didn't cover it, but on defense you have to be very careful to manually select a lineman before the AI snaps, or you're probably going to get screwed because one of your key defenders won't be doing anything. You also have to do all of your own kicks manually with the golf swing meter. It should have been called QB Auto Throw or something like that. It is NOT even close to what most old-school playcall style players would consider to be a real Coach Mode. Idiotic, lazy, stupid programming by the EA team.

Jacob. Do traits matter with regards to whether the QB hold on, throw away, TUP, etc.? Can’t wait to see what you come up with. This will be epic!
When your not using the qb traits matter other than that no

Throw*
If I turn my coach mode on when playing on line on my end, does it only work for my team or does it work for both me and my opponent?
I'm trying to figure out how to play a season OFFLINE against the computer in madden 08 or 09. How do I get to coach mode to do that on ps3?
Did Ea by chance include a setting to sub secondary? Or do i still have to sub 1 player at a time? smh
How do you use coach mode in franchise mode?

Do you have a link to CCFL, Iv been looking for a league like that forever.
does madden 23 give you the correct score after the game in offlin franchise it didnt in madden 22
I'd like to coach head to head
