Just a correction to to your remarks about the Class 43's. They made two test trips on the Severn Valley Railway for test running. The first trip was to Bridgnorth, the second trip was to Highley before leaving the next day by rail to Great Yarmouth to await export to Mexico in company with another pair of Class 43's. They were replaced by another four class 43's later that day arriving by rail from Kirkdale (Merseyside).
