For this time of year, there's nothing to complain about a day of bass fishing like this! Great job CC. I've always wanted to fish the Oklawaha and Rodman. Hopefully, one of these days.
AWESOME strike capture on the 8.10, she DESTROYED that shiner. ALWAYS HEART POUNDING excitement watching a big bass chase down a bait, NEVER GETS OLD!!! Another great vid brother.
Maybe one day! I just love shiner fishing so much! The excitement! The blow-ups and the big fish I catch is addictive! Until you've done it and gotten good at it you just don't know how much fun it is! As for lure fishing there's tons of channels out there where that's all they do! There's not that many UA-camrs that do shiner fishing or are good at it! It's a good way for me to separate myself from the crowd and to show people there's other ways to catch trophy sized bass than just with lures!
Yep I hear ya man! You just got to cover a lot of water. What I like about the river is it's one of the few places you can still catch 8 to 10 lb. fish even in the middle of summer!
I'll fish all the Ocklawaha on both sides of Rodman. To consistently catch bass in the 8 to 10 lb. class you need fishing spots all up and down it. Also I never stop looking for new spots.

It's safe to say the good Captain slays on shiners. Sticking cows as usual😮
Thanks my friend and again thank you so much for your support!
My goodness that fish was not letting that shiner get away!
You got that right Charles! Life was rough for my shiners that day! Lol!
On em like always. With big game rods. Proving you don’t need a 400 dollar rod to catch massive bass Awesome video
Thanks riverrat988! Always great to hear from you brother!
Man I like to see you use some lures on some episodes.

Those blow ups are awesome!
Thanks Tracy!
Went there today and fish the river. Just throw and swim jigs. In the lily pads got a few blow ups, but missed. Got one about eighteen inches.
Yep it's a fun place to fish and it's so beautiful! Thanks for checking in man and good fishing to ya!
Nice catching. Shiners rest in peace 😄
Lol! Thanks Oz! Again congrats on that great snook!

@@TheNorthFloridaAngler do you fish the main river, or more of the creeks off the main river?
I fish all of it!
Captain CC. What size braid do you use?
I use 60 lb. Dimond Braid in moss green color.
Do you prefer to fish from the damn to the river or from the other side of the lake back towards silver springs

Any recommendations on a good place to go to take kids for shinner fishing? What should we look for?
Brush filled outer bends, creek mouths and gullies on the edges of straight aways that have lots of submerged logs.
What reels are you using for the shiner set ups?
Ambassadeur 6500's
Mind telling me where I can buy shiners in that area
Where u getting the big wild spinners from?
Advantage Sports in Salt Springs.
Aren't there gators that water?
How can I contact you to book a trip?
You can call me at 1(386)325-3743 and leave a message. May take me a couple of days to get back to you. Super busy!
