Very cool, so many videos on replacing regulators, none on how to just put your window back on track, lube as many moving parts while you in there, with the same silicone,my favorite brand too, thanks thumbs up.
I just did this on my 2017 Malibu.It was a bitch.The bracket had no adjustment bolt to move it freely so I got a 5and 1 tool and pushed it against bracket until it gave enough to manipulate window back in groove with the help of silicone spray.Thanks for the video gave me a visual gist of what I could expect which made job a lot easier I think
Thanks for Silicone lube advice as preventative maintenance, vapor barrier advisary and purpose and use of upholstery tool to remove plastic fasteners, and use of 10mm open end wrench to help remote the bolt that fastens the front window track and the tip not to mess with the screw that attaches the bottom window tab to the scissor track. Lastly, thanks for the excellent video and communicating the necessary info that saved 4 hours of repair time.

Hi Jim, Great video 😊. Im Mike from England, I need your advice please brother. So unknowingly I've only gone and ordered a Dorman 741-736 window regulator which is for a USDM Civic's (Passenger side) so have just discovered that the regulators motor electrical plug is a 2 pin whereas on my UKDM Civic (Driver side) it's a 4 pin plug. So basically regulator and motor would fit as it's for the right side door, just theres 2 wires and a 2 pin plug instead of 4 wires and a 4 pin plug to connect to my UKDM wiring. Any ideas to work round this bro? Damn totally my fault I should've known plugs would be different being that RHD - UKDM and LHD- USDM, Totally my fault 🤦🏼🤣
I am not sure what the extra two wires do. Think the extra two are blue. They might be a ground pass through for the window control unit. The red wires should control the up and down. Can you take the old motor off and bolt it to your new regulator?

Yes it does I have to see on my car if I have that bolt. I messed up and took those 2 window screws out but the window didn't come out of the brackets so I should be able to put the screws right back in...I'll update and let u know how it went...thanks

how does the window come out the track in the first place? it happened to my driver side door, then I fixed it myself, ended up putting back the door panel and breaking some stuff and messing it up. and now it happened to my passenger side window and iv just been putting my car cover over my car just so people wont steal my stuff in my car.
There are a few reasons it can come off. If you have an accident. The momentum of the glass moving forward (or back, if you are hit from the back) can cause the glass to move. Slamming a door closed, with the window down. You should spray silicon spray in the window tracks to keep the window going up and down smooth. If it starts binding, it can move the window out of the track. Big sub/stereo system that shakes the car. Over time, can loosen bolts.

My voyagers drivers side window needs the clip that holds it on the track for the back of the window. Front one is fine. Are they hard to do & where do I take it if so? To a mechanic or a auto glass place. Ty for your help.

Thank you I figured it was the track. My car has some rivets where the speaker is so I guess I will have to try drilling them out to get access to the other part of the track.

my window is stuck up on my 2004 chevy silverado. power is ok as the up/down button seems to move it a millimeter or so
I am not familiar with Chevy. Maybe someone here can help out. Most likely your window regulator needs to be replaced.

can't remove the screw by the door handle. it has a little rust, I sprayed a little WD-40 and it won't move. Do you have any tips with this problem?
