I've been watching the show, and man it feel I went back to the early 2000's. The jokes are still good and the animation is so fluid. You can't just take something that worked in 2d and make it live action. The only thing I know that did this well were the Rurouni Kenshin movies.

The Blockbuster Buster I feel your pain I grew up with Kim Possible so it hurts me just as much as you do Buddy. It's like making a Disney Channel Original movie or live action adaptation of Dave The Barbarian, Phineas and Ferb or American Dragon Jake Long.
Eric, Drakken is the same guy who entered a rap contest to market mind control shampoo. I'd say the whole social media thing is pretty in-character for him.
Why can't Disney characters be cool? Like, were they worried if Live action Kim wasn't as kickass and cool as Animated Kim we wouldn't watch or find her relatable? Why can't we just aspire to be like a character instead of finding them "relatable?"
5 years old! the film is immensely colorful like its source material with over-the-top action, plenty of callbacks to various episodes, and manages to teach the important value of friendship there's even an incredible cameo by Christy Carlson Romano herself which will be welcome surprise for long-time fans! despite a majority of changes made a lot of the young cast members do an impressive job bringing their animated counterparts to life Drakken and Sheego are their fun, campy selves next to this version of Ron plus the various locations fan know and love Sadie Stanley really makes the character of Kim spark and amazingly brings the feels for a lot of emotional moments it's a lot of her we haven't seen before which is a nice breath of fresh air there's even an insane plot twist I'm pretty happy I didn't see coming! that puts a whole new spin on things and for Kim herself all we can do is be the best version of ourselves, we cannot let jealously become us, is it more about what we do or who we are?, if others eclipse us then who are we?, being a better friend can make any one of us a better hero to my surprise this is actually a fantastic, updated version of the TV show; terrific thrills, meta references, great emotional heft, and a very clever end teaser that will hopefully lead to future stories if the makers can play their cards right happy to report that Kim Possible is still kicking and saving the world great job Disney!

The second movie isn't that bad! We don't saw Claw's face, the action is fun and the romance with the girl gadget is cute. It's better than the first IG movie AND this Kim possible remake.

Yes. Kim donned the classic mission outfit for most of the film while Athena got her season 4/senior year mission outfit after the slightly contrived fashion disaster.
I think the movie's main problem is they resorted to all the teen movie cliches that the animated series avoided. For example, Bonnie saw herself as the Alpha Bitch, but Kim was the actual Alpha. Kim was the captain and when she let Bonnie do it, they showed Bonnie didn't like all the responsibility.
Ok to be fair about CGI Rufus. It could look way worse, considering they wanted to do a live action movie in the beginning of season 1 when they weren’t sure how long the show would go on for. Imagine if they actually went through with it. Rufus would’ve looked horrendous, so I’m quite pleased with what we got to be honest. Also if you see this movie as a “reboot” and as its own thing/own universe then it’s easier to get behind. I really think this movie gets too much hate sometimes. 😅
The casting for this movie was pretty solid imo. The biggest problem I had was that Warburton didn't reprise Barkin because no one can replace him. As for the plot and individual scenes... EVERYTHING was contrived, artificial, and just plain lame compared to the cartoon. I thankfully watched this disaster before watching the series, so I was pleasantly surprised by how good the latter was, but this movie's entire premise and its points of tension were just so... so bad.

This suffered from the common trope that it’s virtually impossible to transition from an animated show to a live action show and make it anything close to good. Animation allows you to do so much more than live action and the suspension of reality is so much easier. I don’t understand why they couldn’t have just stuck with keeping it animated...even CGI would have been acceptable. Budget? It’s not like Disney doesn’t have money that rivals the GDP of most African nations or anything. It’s just sad and such a wasted opportunity to reboot a really fun show for a new generation of fans.
