Petition for a mod that prevents lower dmg hangover effects overriding higher dmg ones
Should the weaker ones still stack the Stronger ones or should their Stack be their Damage?
The strong one should override the weaker one but not the other way around
This build would be cooler if weak hangover didn't override strong hangover
Imagine all the hangovers stacked independently from each other

@@pumbaa667 Dio is actually a fantastic support god. I love putting him on the rail and bow attacks. His call is pretty good, too.
@@pumbaa667he's not good to focus on, you get one core boon from him, maybe a secondary boon or two, then ALL THE DUO BOONS
(bonus points for exclusive access because that just leads to even MORE duo boons!!)
I love these one god only runs. They are really cool in concept. We get to see how individual gods operate on their own
I would love to see a “Chaos Run” where you use the Chaos Egg and Chaos Shield, force chaos in the well as much as possible, and sell any non-Chaos boons.
Can't wait for Demeter, I'm part of the camp that thinks her run will be one of the easier ones, curious to see wether that's the case or not.
I hope he does it on Demeter Fists
Same for Aphro-only run.
The charm effect - that he hates - is so strong when you have multiple sources of cursing.
I abused it a lot for clearing some of my first 32 Heat clears.

My first 32 heat run was insane... I remember I ended up doing 5 minute tight deadline and the timer ran out during Hades so I was frantically trying to kill him before I died to the timer.

@@BenDavisSkydiving Yep! Sorry I guess I should clarify, that was my first 32 heat win, not my first try at it. Haha I had several failed attempts with other pact setups, but that was the first time I had done the 5 minute tight deadline and it was rough at the time.

It's my personal headcanon that drunken strike on Lucifer is just a beam of pressurized wine.
I swear, There should be specific voice clips for characters under the effects hangover, especially bossed. Imagine dad talking all slurry because you're pumping him full of alcohol

That recommended pact setup you mentioned sounds insane lol, I don't even like to do >50% lasting consequences on 40 heat, 100% on 32 heat is just dumb
at 40 heat 100% lasting consequences + stubborn is definitely the way to go
@@leopardscanfly personally, I don't like it. Not a big fan of stubborn defiance in general. I haven't tried higher than 40 heat yet (don't know if I ever will lol). But I did do every weapon on 40 heat without stubborn defiance.
And without stubborn defiance I just don't like going 100% LC.
@@TheB0sss It's always sort of an equivalent exchange, if you don't take 100% LC you probably have to take something else. Boils down to preference most of the time.

just stumbled upon your channel again after a few months of not playing hades, and you seriously got me hooked back on the game! just beat 32 heat with all aspects and i’m planning on pushing my heat gauge even further.
if we talking about our first 32 heat run, I had never done higher than 15, but I used haelians zag fist build and shit was crazy I beat the heros with 4 hp and the deadline long expired now thanks to haelian I got my phone bill paid and I'm swimming in women thanks dan
The reason for the LC4 recommendation is that stubborn defiance is probably easier for a new player to get used to compared to something like forced overtime 2, and you can't avoid all the hard pacts. I looked at some different guides from the reddit one, but ended up using basically the same idea.

When I unlocked the mirror upgrade for it, my reaction then went to "oh, so you use it on bosses and that's it"
Only after I was told about cast builds did I realise how good it could be

The thing with Arthur, IMO, is that the sword's passives work *with* the clunk, in terms of theme and feel when you play it, while Rama feels disjointed. Arthur wants you to facetank, which compliments the slow attack speed (especially for newer players who struggle with dodging). Rama hits like an absolute truck, but you're still just as fragile as normal, which makes it's slow charge feel more punishing.

My first 32 heat win was a Zeus build with Demeter fists and divine dash. It was definitely intense but felt so good.
I'm excited for your Zeus-only run! I hope you use the Eris Rail.
Steam achievements can give you a rough idea of how many who beat the game get to credits, beat 16 heat, beat 32 heat etc (spoiler: it's very low)
there is no achievement for 16 or 32 heat in steam
I did a 20 heat EM4 detemer-only demeter fists run once, unmodded. I had to take dio at one point and decided to get ice wine because i never get that boon if it's not for a meme. did not get arctic blast, but did get killing freeze, and was 1 door short of a legendary. still worked out pretty great, considering i wasn't able to get some of the best boons.
My first clear was run 37. Mt first (and only) 32 heat win was at EM4, after a string of failures with different pact setups leaving me too weak in styx.
Chiron sea storm build with the aphro dash won me my first 32. Nothing to exciting, but super consistent with a decent amount of Zeus buffing everything.
As a decidedly low heat player, I think Rama can be fun for the "lots of special procs go brr". which can be pretty useful on any god that gives a non-percentile-based buff to special, like dio or ares.
what if chaos gates offered you random gods' duo boons, so that there'd be more incentive to chase chaos gates and some builds really want some duo boons to shine.. but this adds another layer to the challenge so idk.

Use the caster shield, trippy flare is powerful and just needs extra casts to be good.
It would be neat if Duo Boons that still made sense were enabled. Ones that don't require a mechanic you get from a different god, and merely empower the current god's mechanics.
This run hurt physically.
I think it took me about 25 attempts to beat Hades, but for half of those I was using mouse and keyboard, and not even getting to Meg.

I would love to see a 32 heat challenge where you make the pact as miserable as it can be for yourself xd
Full extreme measures, routine inspection, approval process, damage control, and tight deadline puts you at 31. Put the last point into jury summons and use aspect of Arthur.

I wouldn't go that far as to pick up arthur into damage control. Just a showcase how vastly different the difficulty would get even though the Heat number would be trying to convince you otherwise xD@@BFedie518

Is it modabble to make afull potential weapon where aspect have all the hammer upgrade at the same time ( minus some incompatible)

But ever since I got every weapon to the point were EM4 doesn't go over the heat gauge

5:49 personally EM4 was how I did it. Took a couple tries, but wasn’t far off. Just didn’t feel right to me to not fight big dad for the last real reward of the game
Also, Gilgamesh Athena dash, frost attack, rush delivery and plume. Athena’s aid, Aphro special and cast. Not a great build but it’s the hand I was dealt

There was an issue with the vod I'm afraid, might have to do it again.
I forget what my exact pact setup was, but my first 32 heat clear was with Eris and shattered shackle.
I remember maxing out all of the things that either limited boons, made things cost more, etc.
The damage from shackle + Eris was enough that I didn't really need any boons, and with no boons you don't really need money or poms.
When I was a new player I loved crystal beam cast. I still do - is it bad in general or just for a Demeter only setup?
It’s good with crystal clarity, not very good otherwise

Also, while I know that not every hit with Chiron special activates Zeus Special, does it still activate Poseidon Special (and therefore Zeus with Sea Storm)?

First time i did 32 heat I used Hael's recommends and cleared with Hestia easy.
My first 32 heat setup was a bit.. unusual. It was HL4 LC1 CF2 JS3 EM3 CP2 BP2 MM UC HS DC2 AP1

I wouldn't mind if he doesn't for Poseidon cause Po-Sword kinda sucks without Artemis or when Splash-Dash pushes Enemys out of the Special-Radius.
It took me over 80 attempts to win once. I’ve beaten 32 heat with Hera Bow, Chaos Shield, and Eris Rail. Gonna try spear next, but I’m not sure which aspect to use. I beat 20 with Guan-Yu, but the health decrease is kinda brutal so idk about 32 heat. I have not even thought about 32 heat on sword or fists lol.
Aspect of Hades is my personal favorite! My only successful 32 heat to date. Big on spins and instant aoe clearing of rooms
@@alexcorbett9414 I feel like I don’t get Hades Spear. I’ve tried it a few times, but it just never feels right to me. My second option I’ve considered is Achilles Spear with a cast build, but idk.
What do you recommend for Hades aspect? Obviously Athena for defense, and spin-related hammers, but idk what else to go for.

I'm such a Rama defender I think it's under-utilized for speedruns (re: the brief Rama discussion in Elysium) - Arthur by comparison just feels way clunkier given how close you need to get to enemies with that slow of a weapon

I loved Hades but after getting all the Steam achievements done I just decided that's all I wanted from the game (except watching other people play it).
I have 164.7 recorded hours of playtime on Steam.
Maybe this is also some kind of useful data?

I was one of those casual players who briefly thought Arther was cool. The reason was the extra starting health seems good to a less experienced player. Then I realized that it was SO clunky that it was better to just use the aspect of Zagreus because Arther made it easier for enemies to land cheeky hits that would have been avoidable without it. I still think that it's better than some of the other clunky weapons, but it hasn't been my aspect of choice for the sword for a long time. I think that the idea of the bow being the worst weapon is crazy. I think I prefer the worst bow aspect over the best aspects of both the spear and the fists, not because they're bad, but because all of the bow's aspects are solid, although quite frankly, the fists suck against Theseus and Asterius. As for the "challenge" of mastering the timing on the power shot, what challenge? I mastered that in minutes practicing on Skelly before my first bow run. It's not hard. Claiming that the timing of the power shot is hard is laughable to me.

I bet Dio is one of the worse gods for these runs. Without duos, you take a lot away from him. So you can only get 5 stacks of that stuff and almost every ability does that. Im going to watch this anyway later, but i guess i won't like it 🤢
I love rogue likes/lite (idk the difference) for thats feeling of "holy shit thats good" thats what that does" i dont like learning them from others. Its my brick wall and in gonna kick through it with a toothpick under my toenail.
the difference between roguelikes and roguelites is that roguelites have permanent progression where you become permanently and objectively stronger by spending resources, while Roguelikes at most let you unlock alternative characters that have their own strengths and weaknesses
so hades is a roguelite because of the mirror of night and weapon upgrades
