4:21 - The message in chat reminded me: I had a chorus director in high school who was super anal about vocal health, and I remember him telling us that clearing your throat is VERY bad for your vocal chords if you do it excessively. Doing it every once it a while is fine, but if you clear your throat constantly, it's slowly going to start damaging your larynx
Yea they are right. Fellow music teacher here, it also can cause your vocal chords to callus a bit as time goes on. It's best to keep the passing of air to a minimum whole clearing your throat to stop the intense vibration from starting, that will stop you from getting hurt too much. (Side note) thanks for listening to your teacher, it's really refreshing to know some students do listen and value our advice.
One of my bad gaming habits is definitely hoarding consumables, like potions and all that kind of stuff. Im always thinking "but maybe I'll really need it later" and i end up never using them
This but with stat boosters in fire emblem. I literally just cleared my first maddening playthrough on Crimson Flower and had like 30 stat boosters in the last two chapters that I dumped into characters who had come out with good level ups
7:27 on sometimes not finishing games even when you know the ending is not too far away: I'd argue that that can be a good thing! If you stop playing because you're not having fun, you're avoiding the "sunk cost fallacy." If you're at a movie theater and the film is boring you to death, it's not worth staying to the end just because you spent the money on the ticket. That money is gone, so it shouldn't factor into what you choose to do now, sitting in the theater bored out of your mind. Neither should the time you've already "spent" watching most of the film so far. That time is gone. Leaving the theater won't refund that time or that money. They're sunk costs. You can do something else instead! Watch a different movie. Play a different game. Get a snack. Text someone you haven't heard from in a while, though please not whole you're still in the theater haha.
Finally got my first 32 heat clear - Eris rockets with hyper delivery and Athena smair. 350 runs in, but only about 30 runs actually trying 32 heat. Thanks again for your continued content over all the years. Some of us just took some time to finally get it together and get that last statue!
8:23 my main issue is that sometimes I play a game to prove that I can. It’s lead to a lot of great choices like hollow knight, dead cells, elden ring, and of course hades, but it sucks sometimes because it can really drain the fun from a great game because when I fail it feels less like “I didn’t” and more like “I can’t” and then I go into a spiral of questioning my self worth and then questioning why I’m fragile enough to let the failure make me question my self worth and so on and so forth. I’m sorry if that was a giant run on sentence, but it was a giant run on thought and punctuation doesn’t let me capture my rambling internal monologue.
How about for some challenge runs, you do dash only builds for gods that have bad dashes. I'd love to see how long they would take, or if the tier two boons could synergize well enough that they're decent. Artemis might be impossible, but the others would be doable probably.
There's an EM4 Aphro dash only vid if you're looking for something like that. He generally hates doing 'em because they're just really slow and boring. I'm not sure if Dio or Demeter would be more or less tedious than Aphro.
Bad game habits (studying the fun out of it): I almost disagree. I don't think I've ever studied the fun out of a game yet, but maybe I just didn't study enough. To me, wanting to be good at a game doesn't make me feel like a tryhard or a geek or anything, and it doesn't ruin the "mystique" of the game, it feels like I'm uncovering knowledge on my own. Maybe I'm just a nerd lol. I do love trivia and learning stuff in general, wonder if that has anything to do with it. Also, holy moly, I haven't seen Ice Wine or Scintillating Feast since I finished the prophecies LOL. I really should try and do more runs with weird boon sometimes.
What’s the reason for taking thick skin over high confidence? I notice it in a lot of different runs. I understand taking greater reflex over ruthless reflex because some attack patterns all but require two dodges. But personally I find myself being forced to take way more than enough centaur hearts on any given run.
I'm guessing it's less because thick skin is that great and moreso that high confidence is pretty bad. Unless you're specifically playing a build where you know you won't get hit (so absolutely not fists), you just won't get much value out of it. With thick skin at the very least, it's essentially two room rewards worth of health, and so having it makes it easier to justify picking money or poms over more hearts.
Flexibility I guess. Getting 100 health early on means you focus your efforts on other things like more boons. Unless you're using a ranged weapon that allows to you stay out of danger, more health is always nice. Sometime I play with heat that increases my enemy's damage by 20% so +50 health is appreciated.

Try to play splinter cell blacklist. You can go stealth not hurting anybody or stealth murdering everybody or just go front door shoot everybody. I did everything on hardest difficulty. Lovely memories. Dishonored 2 was phenomenal too but it takes longer to dig deep than in first dishonored.
If I recall, you can view boons and their requirements while checking the god of your choice, then press the minus (-) button to see the list. (I'd verify, but I don't have my Switch on hand)
I think it's a contractor upgrade to the codex, no idea whether they changed it on other platforms (I've never played the game I just like watching it)
Id recommend playing dishonored 2, its a great progression from the 1st one and new game + is ridiculously fun with all your powers. The third one is probably not worth bothering with tho
you should do a challenge where every boon is a bouldy boon
YES
@@treschlet that would be very hard, getting only like 2% attack at a time
Not too bad, he’s beaten the game with no boons before so it would be easier than that

Gotta finish the game with a backpack full of stuff saved for the next game!

I've done them, just not recently. I'm afraid they're just very long and not very interesting, you can't make Demeter's dash very "broken."

"roleplaying as a top" crazy way to learn haelian is a bottom
The not finishing games thing is so real. I’m currently in the middle of Elden Ring, Cyberpunk 2077, GoW: Ragnarok and Uncharted 4
