I think its the surrouding calm that adds a lot to the effect of these videos, so many videos of armoured fighters are being narrated over or have a loud crowd in the back ground but with yours there is a simple silence and focus on the fighting and its really effective. great fighting as always a pleasure to watch.
It sounds and looks just perfect the heavier weapon beating the longsword aside the half swording the grappling the pauses to catch their breath the single leg into the dagger finish it's just all so realistic and so perfectly done nothing but praise❤️
That's often true. Without a good armor only 10 to 20 procent of the fights end in wrestling, but with armor more than 60 to 70 procent ends in wrestling.
How you have so few views, and subs dumbfounds me. These are the best hema videos I lve seen out there. You've got great video quality, amazing locations that make it feel like I'm watching something out of a fantasy movie, and the armours look so freaking cool. This channel has been an inspiration for me to get into hema.

Were Grandfalchions as effective as Zweihenders, are they able to effectively cope with strong armor and are they useful on the battlefield? How do you feel about this weapon if you have it only in 4th place in the rating of weapons for duels?
That was a onehanded Falchion. A twohanded Falchion is much more worse! It's not nimble enough, but it is (most of the time) not powerful enough to knock people out and of course it's not possible to cut through mail or plate armor.
@@dequitem , But after all, a falchion with a good point can also be stabbed in vulnerable places like a Zweihander, what place in your rating of weapons for duels would you put a falchion from this video?
I do Ringen and judo. It makes you much better! But watch world tournaments in these sports it oft does not look very interactive when both knew the technique and counter the shit out of each other. In armor it's even slower and mor focused on dagger use!
@@killerkraut9179 They were mounted cavalry usually but you must remember a horse is a huge target for arrows spears etc. So if a horse died the knight wouldn't just give up, he'd still fight on foot. Then again knightly duels were done on foot unless it was a joust which mostly happened at tournaments hope this helps.

@@dequitem thank you sir you're severely underrated and I hope you get the recognition you so clearly deserve
Wow, that looks not only realistic, that is a REAL FIGHT!
It's a real sparring fight!
Are all of your combat videos 100% choreographed? These are awesome. Super super well done.
Nothing is choreographed. The fights are Sparringmatches and cut together to one fight.
These videos show how often a fight devolved into a wrestling match. Like modern MMA, if you can't fight on the ground you are going to lose.

Fantastisch! Eine Freude, deine Videos zu sehen! /~Martin
Danke. Und fleißig teilen :*
Richtig cool gemacht, der Cut zum Schluss noch kürzer, dann ist es perfekt 😁
Done really cool, the cut even shorter at the end, then it's perfect 😁
Da hast du recht! Oder noch deutlich länger.
You have a point there. Or the end have to be even longer!
0:43 The colors on the ground reminds me of the ending of Ghost of Tsushima...
That was a lot of wrestling!
Yes
Ich glaub euer Kanal geht im nächsten Jahr richtig steil.

Is this where Adorea filmed Knight of Hope? It looks similar.
I see your grappling has improved! Nice work dude! Will you be fighting at the Buhurt League World Cup in Prague?
No but we can meet near there. It's 7 hours from me away... So near is relatively... But if it's possible anywhere in the middle.
@@dequitem Thats a bummer, was hoping to watch your duels in person. Ill be there for a week or so, we may have time to meet up somewhere.

And have there been such grandfalchions in history, has at least 1 sample of the two-handed version been found, or is it just fiction?
There are only pictorial sources.

Nly because 😉
yea lets call a knight a knight without a horse.
You can!
There were plenty of unmounted knights just look at the French at Agincourt
