ACs spokesman need to show a bit more passion and get something flashy going. I felt like i was at a board meeting at work with the slide show. Maybe i walked away too fast but we didnt even get to hear it run.
The 800 is a 165hp class engine. Simpel math 165 x 1,11 = 183,15. They will probably call it a 180hp class engine. Nice gauge, made by garmin. Garmin makes high quality stuff, so thats awesome. I like where arctic cat is going with this, light weight, balance, rider control and smooth power. Fits high technical riding perfect, no need for turbo.
Exactly! Someone is trying to argue with me for saying the same thing, claiming speedwerx dynoed the 800 @ 153 HP so it's not 160-165 . Obviously this guy doesn't know every dyno is different and every engine is different, that's why they just say "11%" increase :-) Just like the 998 Turbo being marketed @ being a 185 HP, when every dyno has it over 200HP !!
As a mtn. Rider I would like to say how much I appreciate andy Beavis. I would much rather here him than salesmen talk about sleds. Great to see the 858, to bad its not this year though.
Altah UT averages 500" per year .. The winter I lived there '83 they got 720" or 60 feet .. Snow varies a lot depending on location .. Snow belts which side of the mountain Peaks ect.
ac needs to put More into sxs like bring back trail cats not everyone want see the double x need more affordable trail vesion I bought a canam commander because ac had nothing I wanted
It's 177.6 to 183.6 depending on what HP rating you got from the 800cc ( 160-165) So I'm guessing they will call it 180-185HP !! Which is about 10-15HP more than doo and poo 850's 🙂
I was there. By far the most disappointing reveal I’ve seen. No one even clapped. At least bring a sled out with it running. The 30 second video was miserable. Good luck Arctic Cat, you’re losing touch.

Doo claims to have a 185hp. variant of the 850 in the turbo r base motor 185hp. altitude compensation turbo.
