As a life long Cat owner since the1980's, both sleds and ATV's, I am so glad to see Fresh NEW cutting edge products coming out. The Catalyst is on top of the heap! Such a great effort Boys!
Dang that sounds slick! The ability to swap ratio's on the fly is next level stuff. Now all you need to do is ditch that alpha rail, shout out to everyone on their third rail!
Arctic Cat's fuel injection is old technology and is one of the main reason's Doo & Poo's throttle response feels way more crisp than Cat's. They need dual injectors, cylinder and throttle body but then they would have to spend more money on new ECU and other thing's. The new 860 still has the old fuel injection technology as the previous 800 Ctec.....I would of thought the 860 would of had new fuel injection improvements but I guess not!
Wait what? Wankel engines being produced today? Thats awesome! Just imagine how cool it would be with a sled with rotary engine. Have they overcome the reliability issues that the rotary is associated with?
@@erik.lindberg89 Seems like it, as they use them in UAV’s. But then there aren’t many sleds that runs over 30000 km with the same engine today anyway.
@@erik.lindberg89 It would be a game changer. Just imagine how many people who would change brand just because of Arctic Cat having an twin rotor wankel with a turbo.
has there been reports of the adapt clutch blowing up? I have one in my 22 riot 800 and it's been solid so far. No cracks in the clutch so far and still using the stock belt that came on the machine.
So they have a Cut Away engine on a Bench but they don't zoom in and show it. It is sitting on the Bench in a Conventional position. My Guess is that it is actually laid down when it's Installed in the sled Chassis. They said the drive belt lasts the life of the sled. What is the Life of the sled do they Fall apart in 10,000 miles? Are they expected to last 30,000 Miles. Yamaha's were really heavy, but they did have multiple grease zerks. I have not worked on many Clutches but the Skidoo 4 Jaw Clutch with Roller bearings does last longer. No mention of roller clutches here. Also the Direct Injection that Skidoo uses greatly increased MPG.. I wish other Brands could pay Patent Royalties to Bombadier .. who Bought Evinrude who paid a German Engineering Co to develop the Direct Injection fuel system.
The same company that you referred to as they. SMH Stick with skidoo it sounds like you like them. The catalyst is going to smash everything and that's why you're here because you are jealous. You don't see me watching skidoo videos.

Job well done👍 I love hearing about the new product from the people who poured their heart and soul into it💪🏼
Already ordered my 24’ Riot and can’t wait!!
I am so pumped for this machine! Wish I could have ordered one of each
Definitely going to shrink wrap my mind around that
Some great info here, thanks for sharing!

Yeah, they should at least have the twin rails as an option on all their sleds.
Thanks for the info!

You know more than yamaha engineers whatever you say
They should do that
I hope Arctic Cat teams up with UAV engines Ltd and start using their wankel engines, as they both are owned by Textron.

very informational, but it would be nice if these guys would act more excited when they are talking about these things.
Bigger motor please!
Also design a clutch that does not grenade please

Let it out……
They've had full roller clutches for 25 years
@@Machetehandy Who is they? Arctic Cat or Skidoo? With bearings not bushings?
