only that, he can convey those emotions to listeners who also do not speak the language of the song. I’m a retired teacher, 66 year old, grandmother from Alabama, and I have never responded

This whole I Am Singer comp is not like American Idol etc. it is for professional singers who have good careers. It is an honour to be invited to take part. Dimash was a wild card. From another country. The Chinese fell in love with Dimash, He made friends with the contestants. He later appears on a couple of their own concerts, Dimash is a very respectful, humble, unassuming person, so they couldn’t fail to appreciate him and his talent.

I LOVE this version. He was only 22, and a non-English speaker. I think his arrangement and timing are impeccable. ❤ and like you mentioned, he started slow and soft, but clear. Fingers crossed the power stays on. Anyway enjoyed your reaction of Dimash. He is a once in a lifetime/Century singer. I'm sure you will eventually watch the spectacular unbelievable performance in the video "Stranger (new Wave 2021)". It will s sung in English & you will see a huge difference in his pronunciation. I've just found your channel, and love that u r into Dimash. Dimash was invited to take part in this competition. It was his 1st time away from home (Kazakhstan). Yes he can ding in various languages, but it does not mean that at this point he could not speak them. So no English, no Chinese etc etc. So no one understood what he was saying back stable, though they were all lovely to him. As a foreigner he cud not win this competition he came 2nd. They changed that rule the following year. BUT he gained so much by being in ghjs competition.
From age 3 his parents were told that Dimash was pitch perfect. Be was in stage singing at 3yrs old. Be won soooo many singing competitions in his own and other countries around him. That is how the organisor of this comp got to hear of him. He won THE biggest n highest competition.
So 1sf gimexaway from home no English no Chinese. Can u imagine that. Dimash became famous world wide because of this competition. The audience, all involved in music in some form wars the judges. Rftr singing sos his 1st performance, ths audience of judges broadcasted this young mans incredabld talent, to thr effect that Dimash had to have body guards with him, when hs went out. He couldnt understand why. Apart from his singing , he is THE most humble young man. He has been awarded by his country sooo many awards, and is highly respected. Because of his stance people listen to him. His passion is to bring people of all nations to come together with unconditional expectations and love.
Love your channel and your excitement over this talented young man. Well not so young now, he's 30 this year in May.

And although he probably would have won, he withdrew from it. And why? The answer is after singing the song. Adagio. Maybe this interesting fact will be useful for one of your next reactions. The guy said that Dimash lures the audience and she responded saying, " Of course, he's very handsome." This was his first song that he sang in English, and he improved with each performance. None of the other competitors knew anything about him and were not only blown away by his talent but how handsome he was also. He was only 22, the youngest non-professional and the first foreigner in the show's history. When competing on this show he only spoke Kazakh and Russian. His first four songs were in French, Russian, English, and Mandarin. The guy in the black T-shirt sitting in the yellow chair, after Dimash finished singing said that now he was really stressed out. Lion Chorus, a band competing said it was very stressful to have to sing after Dimash. There is a complete showing of Singer 2017 with Eng. sub-titles. I did watch all of the singers and the others were very good...but they were not Diamsh. He only placed second because they claimed that he was too young, the first foreigner, and they gave first place to Sandy Lin, a beloved and respected 51-year-old Chinese singer. Her voice could not compare, nor did any of the others have the stage presence of Dimash.

You can't go wrong reacting to any of Dimash's songs. The songs I love to listen to often are SOS, Know, Unforgettable Day, When I've Got You (his latest release). There are so many more great songs that he sung, but I'd go with those next
Dimash is "like a box of chocolates". You never know what you are going to get except to know it will be beyond excellent because it is Dimash. 🥰 The Singer tv show competition for professional singers in China required all their competitors to sing "a theme of the week" world famous cover song for a 14 week season. Dimash sang two covers which resulted in the owners refusing to allow Dimash to sing the songs ever again. Vita's "Opera Two" and Lionel Richie's "Hello" are definitely prime examples of a bit of envy creeping in. The other song owners have not forbidden Dimash from singing their songs BUT I note, Dimash has since only sung a few covers and only if the original artist is deceased or has given him full permission (like Igor Krutoy, a composer who went on to rewrite several of his own compositions for Dimash and write brand new songs especially for him). Otherwise Dimash sings original songs either written for him or his own compositions. There are world class composers who are waiting in line to work with him but with Dimash being very selective, very few will make the cut to work with him. And I note, Dimash likes to give up and coming composers a shot at pleasing him with a song. Dimash is an extremely generous artist who promotes young talent.
The Dimash version of The Show must go on its epic because Dimash is an amazing singer, every performance its a master piece

At this time 2017...Dimash spike fluent Russian and Kasakh, some Chinese and very little English. Singing in another language can be done phonetically. The hard part is ennunciation. Hes gotten a lot better with English and fluent, but he does have an accent...with I dont mi d at all. Infact I rather he keep it.
There is a longer video of Opera 2 that shows it is his dad there and after the sing ends he sees his dad in the audience. He hadnt seen him in over a year since he was in China. The video shows the aftermath. Check it. There is an incredible strong family bond.
The Show Must Go On is definitely impressive. He does it his way and we love it. Many noticed his poor english ennunciation. But that was then...he was just learning. Nobody cares. He just gives his all and see what happens. Genuine Brilliant Beautiful inside and out. He is a legend in our time..

At this point the only thing Dimash knew how to say in English was, my name is Dimash and thank you, he had only one week to learn any of the songs in English that he ended up having to sing..watch the Queen Medley that he does with the Super Vocal Boys, they give Queen a serious competition on who's better especially with Adam Lambert 💯

Dimash didn't speak a word of English at that time and only learned the lyrics phonetically. Participants in the 'The Singer 2017' competition had a week to learn and arrange the song that has been chosen for them. It was the 3rd song in the competition.
