Just want to point out this is one of the rare songs where Joe uses a 7 string which makes the power chords sound heavy!

that was definitely Jimi Hendrix-Machine Gun..
For that first bit he was using a pitch shifting whammy pedal and the thing where he was messing with the knobs I’m guessing he was messing with a phaser pedal
