Why Supernovae are still a Mystery

- We know a lot about Supernovae - explosions of massive stars at the end of their lives. They create more energy than the sun in its' entire lifetime, and can outshine their galaxy. But, scientists are still puzzled why these stars explode in the first place.
It runs out the process behind exploding stars is much more complicated. There is a lot we don't know yet. And supernovae are quite rare, there is only about 1 supernova every 50 years in our galaxy - which makes studying them quite hard.

Thank you for the support! ❤️
@@ExploratorioYT heyy man,
Long time no videos. What happened? I love your channel
@@SmellyNutz Hey, thanks a lot for your kind words!
Honestly I had a bit of dilemma whether to continue. Videos took quite long to make and I did not want to go full commercial mode to decrease quality to earn money etc (the classic path for youtubers). TLDR I decided to postpone this path in my life right now until I can do this as a hobby at least part time. Though, I was thinking of making a video of one good topic for the sake of it, so I maybe will consider :)
@@ExploratorioYT hey!
Didn't actually think you'd reply lmao.
But I'm excited that you're trying to reconsider. I don't expect you to post a video every month or so, just was a bit sad cause I thought you left this channel entierly.
Good luck on whatever you're doing, mate!
I have notifs on and am waiting for a new one.
thank you for the good work. Big hug from Portugal : )
Thank you for showing support 🙂

Wow, what do you use to animate your videos?, I am a bit of a astronomy youtuber myself and use blender
Hey there fellow youtuber! I use blender too, and then After Effects on top of that (usually I can achieve what I need wirh after effects much faster by now, meanwhile in Blender I am quite slow).
@@ExploratorioYT how long have u been useing blender?
@@TheSpaceAge I started some 6 months ago, though recently I had a break for a few months from making videos
@@ExploratorioYT Oh Nice, I will be celebrating my 1st full year of blender in 4 days, though I started my channel a bit after

please can you explain waves in as simple terms as possible please - can you correct this - waves are vibrations that carry energy (dont have a physical form/ are not made of anything) (eg. sound waves - vibrations that move through the air carrying the enegy of sound)
