Thank you buddy. Just built a butterfly house. But they just fly to the windows and don't feed. Temp at 27 degrees , humidity 70 -80 . I'm baffled and a little distressed. Love your videos , and would love some advice is you are still around.
With Monarchs they won't need a heat mat. If you are based in the USA where Monarchs naturally occur then you could even put the cage outside in a shaded position, but indoors will be ok without any extra heat.
@@TropicalButterfliesUK no I'm in England , north England lol . I've done native UK butterflies from caterpillars to butterflies, but want to order monarch pupae , will I need extra heat ? Do u sell pupae ?
@@CM-1723 I don't sell them, but I did recently post a video where I ordered some Monarchs. "How to Order Tropical Butterfly Pupae". It goes through how you can purchase them. If you are in the UK then they should emerge OK indoors without any additional heat, room temperature will be enough. But it would be a good idea to keep some wet cotton wool below where they are hanging just to make sure they don't dry out.
@@TropicalButterfliesUK I was looking at wwb website , they said to me they require a tropical greenhouse so thought I would need extra heat . Were having a cold June tho at the minute lol , will they need misting with water ?
@@CM-1723 The butterflies will require heat to fly, but not for emerging. The pupae can be very lightly misted, but only while they are still green. Once they start to colour up, then it's not a good idea to mist.

Did you get the White Morpho on the Entomologist?
The adults shown in the video were from Stratford Butterfly Farm. But it is possible to purchase them from the Entomologist.
Puerto pull navigators have whispered on this as a nail
I want to do monarchs at home inside the house in a net cage , so would I just put a heat mat underneath ?
