To everyone who's asking that "this is so illogical why would they produce the female robots just to throw them away", they are actually being sent down in the basement and being forced to do hard labour and they keep working there until they die of exhaustion. If you notice carefully they are pushing the cogs and they make the whole factory run whereas the male robots were "sent up in a golden armour". So I think it signifies that women in this society are treated badly and exploited even when they have such major roles in running the society and very often don't get the privileges that men get just because they were born in a different body and don't fit the society's "mould".
I just don't find it "believable". Lol. Men didn't get everything handed to them. In fact, men had to do more to get democratic rights, like voting, than women had to. Firstly i would remove division of the robots to male/female (especially male/female symbols) and replace it with various robots in different shapes and sizes, each made for different job. Secondly i would change the glass wall to have more holes in order to fit the right robot to the right job. Lastly i would make the main character actually fit one of the holes, but not the one that she (or maybe he or it) wants to fit into and the reason that she is discarded is because she tries to go through the wrong hole. She would again end up in the incinerator but in this version there would be other damaged robots that either didn't fit any of the holes or tried to fit in the wrong hole. Together they would break the glass wall like in the original short or combine into giant mech that would break it.

It's a nice-looking animation, but I'm not really on board with the premise. Equality always seems nice, until you realize that the positions that the other group filled wasn't just high profile jobs like teachers and directors, but also sewage workers, soldiers, truck drivers and assembly line workers (robots can't do everything just yet). Considering their armored appeareance, I wouldn't be too surprised if the fem-bots discovered that the others were flying off because they were being used as projectiles. (In which case it doesn't make sense why their makers are throwing away half of the ammunition produced, what a waste!)
Yeah, but the logic in the factorys sorting system is completely idotic. Atleast give the fem-bots a job that contributes to the workforce like in our world. (Yes I know, you mention the fem-bots being thrown away for no reason.)
People who say it’s stupid bc the factory is throwing away half of the product are missing the part where she didn’t go where she was intended to on the belt. She followed a man and tried to fit into his role, like a woman in real life would try to overcome what role is expected of her and go where she wants. However, she is seen as defective for this and thrown away, along with every other female that tried. Idk how y’all missed the point when they literally shattered a glass wall, aka a glass ceiling, that was designed to only allow men to pass through.
One of the less thought out films unless this referred to hundreds of years ago before women broke through that metaphorical wall into equal rights. I may be biased because I live in America where the rights between men and women are equal, but this video was clearly directed at Americans so I don't see the point in this short. The director is supposedly from an Asian country which may explain it, but the rest of the contributors aren't. Overall, if animation like this was available in the late 1800s to early 1900s, this would be a masterpiece, but otherwise, it was wasted animation budget.
In that instance, better to try to see it from the perspective of the director and not the contributors who have a bastardized version of "equality". Everyone has their own perspectives on it's message, no matter how blatant it is. If this film was made in a foreign country where women truly were considered second class citizens (and they do exist, plenty in fact), then let's see it from what the director wanted to tell.

Yet in reality they don’t work nearly as hard and are indeed much more coddled. Characters should be reversed.
@@rinconusmc so you’re saying your own mother, who built, birthed, and raised you, was coddled?
@@oliviapayne4983 as compared to a male in her same position? Yes.
I just don't find it "believable". Lol. Men didn't get everything handed to them. In fact, men had to do more to get democratic rights, like voting, than women had to. All women had to do was ask, and yes although we are equal and should share everything, doesn't mean men got everything easy.
Compare this shit to today's standards, when men have the highest suicide rates, lowest graduation rolls, and they are hated by media and politicians just to seek female demographics validation, and they're also the most alienated in society, doing the hardest labours, when a woman can simply open an OnlyFans and start earning basic wages?

I think i know how to change it to make it better.
The whole idea of the story is equality. Showing how men get the jobs and the woman have to sit and do nothing. Here it shows the woman robots working together to break free and o the same jobs as the men bots.

@@xxangelofhellxx7555 Makes sense, but I feel like it'd certainly be more powerful if 1) this was aired in South Korea (or wherever the director currently lives and 2) the other contributors also lived in an unequal place. And definitely, I'm not sure if I made this clear in my first comment, I completely understand if the director's country was sexist and completely love that they're doing this, but I don't know much about South Korean (I think in the description it said South Korea) gender history, so I'm not sure. Moral of story. There is no gender. Only rage.
No, it's about breaking the bias against women.
@@farvision glass ceiling DESTROYED with facts and logic
@Ali Shabbiri correct answer
The moral of the history is: Dont buy a male sex doll just thic female sex dolls with a golden armor.
Great animation but the story seems poorly done I get they are going for a women in a men’s world deal with a literal glass roof and being tossed to the side just because they aren’t a certain type but the use of robots doesn’t work in this situation since robots are factory made specifically it would imply they make female robots just to throw them away thoses symbols on their chests are clearly different parts and instead feels like someone is gonna get fired for wasted a lot of money and resources making robots they kill 15 seconds after making
I thought the same thing. The animation was nice. But the story it tried to tell fell a bit flat.
Haha, that would be an interesting prequel. "Overworked engineers revolt, cause millions of dollars of damage and halve humanoid drone production"
Poor consept
Great execution
@@rogerramiussergeialexander5541 or maybe it’s like specifically a female worker/inventor who wanted to get her design out there and be famous but didn’t get the all clear from her bosses who like the current model so she did it away hoping no one would notice unaware the quality scan would fail all the new bots she made and just keep killing them maybe even have it at the end where both models are successful like how irl some people like small phones and others prefer bulky phones and also saying cooperation and understanding is the true best way for progress and there isn’t one real answer
Look closely when it zooms in on the furnace. You can see female robots pushing large bins toward it.
So the message is that it takes 5 women to do a job one man can do.
Its a joke
Adam Salinas pretty much 😂😂😂
Not sure if you’re sarcastic but thats pretty shallow
Knuckles: You know, any time someone calls attention to breaking gender roles it ultimately undermines the concept of gender equality by implying that this is an exception and not the status quo.
Me: Yep, and this is exactly what this video does. On another note, this is not just a feministic ideology. This applies to men too. You can find this throughout history. For example, Men have already gone though that phase in the era of Rome and China where men would wear feminine appeal such as makeup, high heels and mantyhose all the while doing performance arts in the nude for a massive crowd.
I think the story is about.. women beeing less worth in for example work places and cultures, men get prised and are better, but like the movie showed, women are extremly strong and can also reach the top
In the video they crashed that stupid thinking (the glass) and got accepted for their hard work
They have to work harder and more to get that acceptance, or better treatment and stuff
Why would the factory make something they aren't gonna use? That's just a waste of metal
This was definitely inspired by Pixar 💀
Men being sent off to war while women get sent to do the labor work that was previously done by men
Because men didn’t allow women to be at work, at war, at any kind of “public” area. But that’s only for high class women. Women were at war anyway, and women never stop work in history.
