I'd say comedy books are not taken serious *lol pun intentional* Making someone laugh is very difficult and doing so with only words and no physical action makes it even more difficult. My recommendation from the genre would be 'Three men in a boat' by Jerome K. Jerome

Great asking. Both talk about morals and values but I mostly read non fiction philosophy books.
