That’s awesome. I have an 18 110v coming my way. Unfortunately I don’t have the opportunity to wire up 220 in my “shop”. Excited to see what you think.
Nice piece of kit! I wasn't a fan of Evenheat's door latch mechanism so I went with a Paragon KM24. Without the touchscreen option it was about the same price and the normal controls aren't terrible. Just slightly time consuming to wait for the temperatures to scroll through the entire range. Now that I have 12 different heat treat recipes saved I just keep notes on which program goes with which alloy
So I definitely agree with you on the door thing! Love the big paragon door how it opens and this latch mechanism on the even heat is pretty cheesy . The touch screen controller seems awesome so far! Still need to program my recipes !
Same thing I’m thinking right now on the door. What are your thoughts on the express vs the pro with the 3 hearing zones? Would you change anything if you bought one again?
@@FlavorQuest-dw9bvin my opinion the three heating zone thing is overkill unless you're heat treating something that has way more mass in one place along it's length. I know the three zone thing is to make for a more accurate heat treat but I think a good program with proper soak times will make any deviation minimal.
@@SCB1993 thanks again for the video. I went ahead and ordered a paragon 21” with the standard heating elements. Even the reps did not think the 3 zones was a good idea for knives and they are stupid expensive if they need to be repaired/replaced
Nice looking oven but those fishing rods look like they need to be in used some LOL. I'm in the lake fishing now looking at videos instead of what I'm supposed to be doing
I got the ko seriees 22.5. Beleive mine is up to 2500 degrees. I got the temper oven too. Evenheat is only 10 min from my house. So sprncer took me on a tour . I was able to sit down and shoot the shit and hagle.
@@gentrycustomknives8008 . Went to the factory today and baught mine. Also saw some cool stuff there working on right now that will come out next year. Pretty cool stuff.
Does anyone know the time it takes to heat up a 110 vs 220 model? I'm looking the KH418. The Ameribrade runs off my 220 now and I could probably have another 220 installed if the heat up times are vastly different.
Thanks for sharing. I’m getting mine this week can’t wait it’s going to be a game changer…
Awesome!! Absolutely love mine!
I just ordered this same one, and it had the power interrupt switch as well. Super excited to get it!
You’ll love it!

@@SCB1993exactly what I was thinking but I’m honestly just trying to figure things out right now. Thank you!

Can I hook it up to the dryer outlet or running it with a generator? Thank you. Great video!
You should be able to covert your dryer outlet to run it
Will have to change out the plug.
I believe the 22.5 is the outside length.
I’ll have to measure it!

Lol ! They definitely get used!
I ordered the 18 lol I’ll probably be asking you questions....
Awesome! Which controller did you go with?

Going to be getting one soon…..do you use it for tempering as well?
Yes! Great machine

I’m very happy with mine!

You can't ask for better people to deal with. In all honesty . Most of the whole knife community is pretty good to deal with.
New sub here. It looks good. I should be getting mine in a few weeks or so.
Awesome thanks for the sub! You will LOVE that oven! Which model did you go with?

I’d email even heat! They will know
Anyone wanting to upgrade an oven can buy the touchscreen controller, made by SDS Industries, though it's $500-650 separately.
Does this model come with alarm?…looking to get one ordered…. thanks
Yea it does
