SMS glitches my phat ps2 reset button when I use it. So the only way to turn my console off was through the menu. Thankfully it's not a permanent effect.

@@Rasty_cze Hi there is already a FreeMcBoot on my memory card but whenever I turn on my ps2 It directly opens the OPL. I dont see any option for SMS. Even When I reset my ps2 only two options are there Browser and SYSTEM CONFIGURATION.. But I cant find SMS anywhere can you please help me ?
@@suhailqureshi54 There Is a problem in FMCB configurator And i dont know if you can open it becouse you have only "browser" And "system configuration" on the PS2 menu.. i recomend reinstall FMCB.. or ask someone with working FMCB to save his config to your memory card. If you can open OPL, you can just install SMS on your USB via OPL manager, than it shows in "APPS" menu And you can directly start SMS from OPL.. i hope you understand it, my english Is not the best
The Key Thing I wish to know is What file formats does SMS support? And Say i wanted to use a youtube URL video converter to convert videos that the console could then run. What Video Format could i choose and would be recommended? Im basically wanting to turn my console into like my own custom netflix lol.
Pretty much only for MP3s. It does not, as far as I know, work with modern video formats. Remember, the PS2 is 18 years old! It most certainly cannot play Netflix! SMS is basically a simple music player. If you want Netflix, you can use a PS3.
Never mind, Figured this out. I Meant by put everything i could possibly want to watch on the HDD. It suppports DVI Files with DIVX enabled at 480P. I have however tested some movies on the HDD converted to 60 frames per second and some are a bit laggy and some scenes run great! Conbine that with composite cables and you can run anime shows and such very well! It does play decent quality 480p videos! The fact that you are able to run movies successfully at 60 frames per second is a great deal to quality on this old console some movies run so smooth! DVD didnt even have that option back then.
Another thing i have discovered is if you put the movies you wish to watch at 60 frames per second on the internal HDD, It runs less laggy, still not perfect, if you want even more speed, buy a SDD, or a SATA III Rated Hard drive.
@@cameraman1234567890 finally someone actually asking the same question. I also wondering what format this app could run? Btw are u ever trying mp4 or 3gp ?
@@robbyjaiel It doesn't support MP4, only DIVX Formatted AVI which is fine, it's an older format sure, but has decent quality, it's just not as efficient on file space as some newer file formats.
Can you show how to get AVi files to work, it just comes up withe bubble, no picture for the video in AVi, how do fix this?
Make sure you have your USB Drive formatted to FAT32, mine didn't work with an NTFS-format.

I know its 3 years old, but you just select the folder with your media files and press circle. There will be 3 options.

Bruh who the hell calls a dpad a plus pad?
Those of us who grew up with Nintendo Game and Watch-es. The manuals called it a plus-pad. I'm old, Frodo.
