Hi Amerta, I have a doubt. I work as Quality engineer. Currently I have my profile in express entry pool, where the govt is doing STEM based draws. My noc code 21321 is in that list. I have a doubt whether P.Eng licence is required to be eligible under that noc code. Because in employment requirements it’s mentioned that P.Eng licence is required to approve diagrams and reporting and using its name. I don’t do any of those activities. Please advise me.
Hi, A P.Eng license is not required for express entry draws or obtaining Canada PR. Similarly, it is not mandatory for working in an engineering job in Canada. There are Certain job postings or employers who may have their own requirements, including a P.Eng license for specific responsibilities like approving drawings. However, there are many people including new immigrants in Canada are successfully working in engineering positions without holding a P.Eng license. I hope it answered your question. Good Luck!

Yes, technicians can also apply to PEO. However, they will be assigned more exams to meet the academic requirements.
