Thank you so much Tiffany, I really really enjoyed watching you create this stunning and beautiful too. And so unique. Please stay safe and well too xxxx Mags ❤❤❤❤❤
I have no idea what a Lindy’s magical background is but I’ll have to check it out. When I am in a rut I go onto UA-cam and look at videos. That gets my juices going. Wonderful video, thank you
Thanks Tiffany. I haven't created for years, my health has been the issue. I keep my creative thoughts flowing by watching UA-cam videos. I love how your card turned out. 💕
I don't know what it's like to be in a creative rut. But then again I only started this papercrafting journey early this year,,, more avidly since the month of May and now it's full steam ahead. Card making is my jam, but now I'm full on into Tim Holtz's world of distress. Used the new mica sprays last evening on the acorn folder. AMAZING! Keep up the good work!!
That's so pretty!!! When I'm in a crafting rut, I take out my craft journal and just use whatever I have on hand to make something artsy. I just let the creativity flow freely! 😁
@crstalsomekat7172 What a great idea! Is your craft journal digital or paper? I’d like to figure out how to do this. I have my ideas spread out all over the place and would like to have some organization. Can you tell me how you do this?
Tiffany this is Fall at its best: spooky, dramatic, and gorgeous! Would you believe I find lots of inspiration from a Crate n Barrel catalog? Thanks for sharing your fun way of getting out of a rut! =] Michele
I’m glad I’m not the only one that gets in a creative rut ! Thank you for this video, it’s so pretty. I’m feeling the seed of inspiration start to sprout !
Hi Tiffany! What a gorgeous background! I don't know what gene mixed media people have to know what to combine--and when! I just know I don't have it! Makes me more grateful to have videos like yours! Thank you!
I love that Acorn embossing folder. I did a technique similar to this using a Lindy's Magicals background and inked the folder with Vintage Photo Archival. And of course, a few splatters. Really pleased with the results. It made the perfect background for a Fall card. Creative rut...well, I guess I shop. LOL
This is awesome! Love all the techniques and final result. For creative ruts...I might move to a different thing for a while (cards, alcohol inks, knitting, painting, art journal...just something different) or go back to basics - a technique, style, colours, etc. that I have always enjoyed and where I don't need to be that creative because I'm already familiar with it. It still has me creating and usually helps break through that wall.😊
Cool technique, Tiffany! Do you dry the liquid between colors like you may do with watercolors to build up the layers or just between the different type of products? Thank you so much
I have yet to find something to get me out of my creative rut. I have tried and I keep getting frustrated and give up for another stretch of time. I think it would be good (for me) to do anything but do it with no expectations. I may need to do that soon.
Woah that looks amazing! But don't you permanently stain your embossing folders when you do that with archival ink? I'd rather got for a water-based one..
Thank you! You know, I didn't even think of it until you mentioned it and I don't see any stains on my embossing folder. But good call on using a water-based ink instead. Thank you.

What do you do when you are in a creative rut?
I've never been in one! I could craft 24/7!
I start destashing and organizing, sparks the need to create every single time.
Creative rut?? I turn to all of the amazing creatives on utube. So here I am😉
I have not created either in a while!! This video was helpful for me!! Thanks for sharing!!

love the video!!!
Thank you so much.
It’s so funny what one does when they hit the creative wall..I hit one a few days ago and a very very simple design got me out of it.
Yes! It is crazy. Sometimes NOTHING will get me out of the funk. and then other times the simplest techniques can get me in a creative mood again!!
Love this look. I have trouble making splatter. The ink doesn't want to come off my brush.😢 any tips?

@@Tiffany.Solorio thank you, I had no idea it represented such an important cause.
Yes it is. 🙂 You are welcome.
What colors did you use?
The new fall mica stains. Almost all from both sets. I hope that helps.
