Many (but not all) British accents (and some other accents) have this feature known as *linking* or *intrusive R* .To link two vowel sounds together, we insert an "r" sound. So, saying "I saw it" could sound a little like "I saw *_rit_*
So I'm german, who studied in Glasgow for a while, which definitely does makes me one of the least experty experts at any accent whatsoever. But I feel so sorry for everyone who takes this video serious and probably ends up being sent to an alley where someone waits to steal their kidney instead of the right train station.

All jokes aside, what Evan said in his "Pizza Express" example is absolutely true. Many (but not all) British accents (and some other accents) have this feature known as *linking* or *intrusive R* .To link two vowel sounds together, we insert an "r" sound. So, saying "I saw it" could sound a little like "I saw *_rit_*
A similar phenomenon exists in French, it’s called “liaison”, but I had never really noticed this in (British) English!
In Germany we just say it as one word and sometimes throw an S in there. I mean, we would probably say and write it "Pizzaexpress".

So I'm german, who studied in Glasgow for a while, which definitely does makes me one of the least experty experts at any accent whatsoever. But I feel so sorry for everyone who takes this video serious and probably ends up being sent to an alley where someone waits to steal their kidney instead of the right train station.
