Tiny detail : when the little boy came out Kelly said “do you give hugs?”, giving him a choice to hug her or not. That’s awesome, it teaches kids about body autonomy and consent in an age appropriate way. Kudos!
Great message!! I've seen other people try to say this, but end up condemning people for hugs, which is not what the goal should be. You phrased your message eloquently.
I agree. Kids should always be asked if they want a hug. No one should touch kids without their permission, unless it's a cleaning or medical situation, nor force them to kiss or hug anyone they don't want to.
Dogs are a beautiful gift from god or the Universe or heaven or whatever higher power you believe in. If I’m not mistaken that type of dog is bread as a hunting/retrieving breed? Or a herding dog?... either way it’s instinct was to keep that boy stable and stationary... what a story!
I went out looking for him that evening. I own a cabin nearby where this happened. I have two kids and I felt the same as most there. If it were my kid I'd want all the help I could get.
Haley Bolton I don’t like that she’s a Democrat, I don’t like that she interrupts her guests a lot on this talk show. BUT she’s the original American Idol, and I’m a huge fan of her and her music. I still remember voting for her in 2002 when she was on the first season of AI. So I respect her for her music and all of her accomplishments so far. If I ever make it on The Voice, I hope she turns her chair for me! 🤠
That LAST image - of the line of volunteers -- Needs to be put on canvas with the words “The Best Side of Humanity.” I would buy it. It would remind every day - good people do exist. THAT image is POWERFUL! Needs to be in an art exhibit. Seriously. This picture is priceless.
I was thinking when the man said, "The wind quit blowing and I heard a whining," that was Divine for sure. For the wind to calm in that moment . . . oof.
I've been told this story so many times. 'You have an older brother.' I'm 29 and I've never seen him... He got lost. This just makes me wish our community was this helpful or someone did something. I don't know him but I love him. This is so beautiful Kelly.
When I was 5-6, a kid went missing at the state park/lake in my town. 30 adults went out as far as they could see underwater (my mom included, who couldn't swim). They foundation the kid and saved them. My mom was a nurse administered CPR. I became friends with that boy later in life. I've never told him about it. Just happy he's alive today
I am also from Minnesota, I have lived elsewhere for a few years and I really miss it.. People like you are one of the reasons, I have not completely given up on humanity..
You know what though I’ve actually confronted ppl who have disliked videos and I’ve always got the same answer. They say “ it’s not the video I disliked or the ending but the situation they’re hearing about is what they don’t like. I’ve actually noticed that they’ll give a thumbs down but they’ll comment something nice like “ how sad I’m so glad they’re okay” or even “thank you god/Jesus.” But don’t get me wrong I’m sure that’s not the case with all they’re some cold hearted SOBs that are the same as the thumbs down they click.
I'm sorry there's ppl that disliked this. What. Omg. Then they're some either very evil ppl or they have minds that r not all there or something wrong with their minds. There ain't a thing wrong with any of their videos. That's rlly weird. These videos r awesome.
Kelly, Kelly, Kelly! I am a 50-year-old 6 foot, 300 lb man and I am sitting here crying. I Love how you show such positive stories and not just ones about you and your rich friends and how much you spend. Great job! We need stories like this in our negative world!
....so this is why Kelly and her team will get picked up season after season showcasing the “good”...and interacting in such a real way.,.no pretensions...
That is EXACTLY how Oprah started with her talk show, showing tragic stories-some had happy endings, some did not. But she got everybody talking about stuff that normal people go through, so her audience grew around the world. Of course, her life took off from there. Now, she is one of the richest, most influential people in the world-let alone, a black woman! Kudos to her. But Kelly started her career as a young girl wanting to be a singer, and wanting to get a good-paying job so she could help out her mom, a single mother who was a school teacher. She had no idea if her dream would come true. But it has, while her personal life has had its ups and downs-like everyone else. But she is very down-to -Earth, wholesome, an awesome singer, mother, lover of animals and people, and very HUMAN compared with many other mega-stars! Good job, Kelly!
That breed is amazing they stick with kids and not leave them when I was two years old I walked off with my brittany named Katy and she stuck buy me tell someone found us
I got lost with my Brittnay in the woods (granted I was like 19 so it wasn't that big of a deal) and he not only stuck by me but also figured out how to get us out
I love how the rescuers are nearly in tears talking about the lost little boy. They are “hunters” all tough and strong, but those men love their boys. What great men and fathers they are!! 11:25 I’m not crying lol! The little boy gives the best hugs. That hug made that lost night of sleep ALL worth it. ❤️
anet parks the boy who was lost with his dog was there! That was him. The boy actor that is a bit older is an actor in Young Sheldon. He was also on Kelly’s show.
I’m so thankful Ethan and Remington were found safe!!! Remington is such angel for not leaving his boys side!!!! 🐾🐾💜 Thank God so many people immediately joined this search. THIS is how we have to treat each other. You are all blessings! 🙏🏻
I once lost my daughter, about eight at the time, at a water park. It was probably no more than 15-20 minutes. I walked all over this park looking for her and kept it together pretty well. The moment I saw her walking towards me with an employee is when I lost it! I can't even imagine what these parents went through. So glad it was a happy ending!
I'm glad that this story has such a happy ending but also gives credit to the people in society who show the rest of society what it means to be selfless human being. I hope that the patient who was battling cancer is now in remission.
that's a beautiful springer. she probably kept a very good eye on him while they were lost and let the men know where they were. I love that drone footage of the people all lined up looking.
I had a Britney spaniel named Suzy and she was so in love with my youngest son Trevar...She couldn't even be bothered about dying long enough to leave his side...He was 2 and she still followed every step and played beside him as he played and died...I cried for weeks over this Angel we love and miss her every day...God Bless all those who gave their time to find a lost child..
A big thank you to everyone single person that dropped everything to help this family to find their son. I'm a mom of three and I'd die if something like this happens to one of my kids
Stories like this one renew my faith in humanity! It’s amazing how an entire community can all rally together to find a lost person. And thank GOD for dogs, they are such useful animals. It’s an interesting coincidence that the dog’s name is Remington just like Kelly’s youngest child.
wow this story is amazing and THIS is how most American people act, they show up they offer their help and they stay by the community and this is how they found this young lad... GREAT JOB AMERICAN !
What a great story. If folks haven't been around corn fields its scary how fast someone could get lost, especially a kid. Many times corn is over 6 feet high and you can't see a thing. We need more wonderful neighborly stories like this. What a LOVELY community.
Yes Kelly, also clean-up on aisle 7 here! A beautiful story that helps restore one's faith in humanity just when all hope seems to be lost! Thank you to all those in Ethan's community not only for your unselfish efforts at showing up to volunteer help in every way needed, but also for unknowingly setting the example of true love for humanity in how we are supposed to love our neighbor as ourselves. In a world where too many have lost their way believing the most important concern deserving attention in life is to take care of me and mine, the outcome of your actions demonstrated the truth in how and why we each have a responsibility to care for one another!
😭 So beyond gratefully for the happy ending and all the helpers. "Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.” What breed of dog? Stay safe everyone! ❤️🇨🇦🌞
This was a huge moment in our community and was so amazing to watch on facebook and the app Nextdoor. Proud to be in this community of amazing people who live in sherburne county

You make me feel there is hope yet for humanity. God bless all of you. God bless you, Kelly, for bringing them all together on your show.
Me and my wife and kids just moved to Minnesota and we met some very great people here is a story ok so one morning I went to check my mail after we got some snow and I look up and there's a woman kneeling over me and a dog laying next to my head I thought I died and was in heaven but then the lady was crying and yelling at me wake up and then sirens and lights were all around me, I have a brain tumor and have seizures well I had several seizures when I was checking my mail and this lady was walking her dog when she saw me fall and start having seizures she kept me warm and called for help I live way out in middle of woods so took awhile for help to come but they did I never got to thank this woman and never got her name but THANK YOU!!! Then when I get home from hospital I noticed my driveway was cleared of all the snow and I didn't do it and my wife and kids didn't do it because they were at hospital with me ,so to the person or people that did that THANK YOU!!!There is some great people here in Minnesota, I'm so glad that little boy and dog was found just shows you how great the people are here in Minnesota
These stories are meant to be shared. Happy for the kid and the dog to be safe and grateful to see this community come together and show compassion and love to one another. ❤️
idk how i’ve gone this far without seeing any episodes of this show.. but my goodness, this is my new favorite!!! i’ve literally been binging through all of them. keeping isolation positive- thanks kelly! 💕
Heart strings are gonna need some tightening after this one. Oh my gosh 😍 I'm so humbled to be from MN and proud as can be of this community. Kelly, you continue to restore my faith in people one story at a time. God bless y'all!
This is a beautiful story with a heartwarming ending...Thank you my fellow human for paying the love coward..it is amazing how fast a little love and kindness can grow...
This is one of they very good things about social media is that you can get people out there faster when time is so important . Great job ,what an adorable little boy and his dog .💕
What a beautiful & happy ending to this story. Seeing all the kindness from all the strangers helping to find this little boy and his dog is amazing! Thank you Kelly for having stories like this on your show and having heroes on❤️
Glad to see they're still people out there that are willing and helpful, so much so to do this and also people risking their health to help find a little boy, those people are above and beyond.
From the time the video started til It ended, I was crying. Because I have a 12 year old boy, I don't know what I would have done. Oh, my god. That is what a neighbor do! They help others! Ms. Kelly, thank you for showing this story. You sure know how to tug our hearts.

I love this so much and doesn't surprise that's the kind of person kelly is
I saw that. That’s a mom for you 💯
I agree. Kids should always be asked if they want a hug. No one should touch kids without their permission, unless it's a cleaning or medical situation, nor force them to kiss or hug anyone they don't want to.
The dog is a hero too he protected the boy the whole time he was missing

Hi, I'm watching this from Australia. I'm glad he was found. There's nothing scarier than a lost child, I know the feeling first hand. Good job👋👍
Thank you for doing that, I hope that it doesnt happen again.
Thank you!
💖💖💖
Thank you so so much for looking for the little boy
how does anyone not like kelly? she is the purest person and shes been in the spotlight since such a young age and that can’t be easy
love her but she interrupts way too much

Yes! They need to hang it up in town hall
I agree
Absolutely
I thought the same thing. I imagined the family getting it framed for their home.
Yes! Put money towards more thermal drones for rescue teams
Why doesn't Kelly have a tissue box or a clean handkerchief on that table next to her? She cries in almost every episode!
Elizabeth Edwards she has one on the side of her chair 🤣🤣 she’s grabbed it a few times and handed it to her guests xD
Yesh
She actually does
I love how everyone came together as a community to do everything they can to find him. Amazing!
Courtney G These people renew my faith in humanity.
Well we have learned the police aren't gonna do it for us anymore.
This is what we should be doing as humans; helping each other out when it's needed. Praise God the boy and dog were found safe.

Kelly Maxwell his name is Ian Armitage (sp). He portrays Sheldon Cooper in the sitcom ‘Young Sheldon’.
nerissa k thank you!
Great now I'm weeping. It's the dog staying with him and running around all happy for me, absolutely sent me.
I’ve owned several Brittany’s and they are so amazing. Glad the two stuck together.
These stories are meant to be shared. Happy for the kid and the dog to be safe and grateful to see this community come together and show compassion and love to one another. ❤️

Let's just go ahead and rename the show to "How can we make Kelly cry today?". So happy for this family and their community though.

Better than any celebrity guest. LOVE and So happy they’re safe. What a great community❤️
