I think this video was the final decision maker for me. I bought the cooler but I also upgraded the fans. I can't tell you how it works in stock configuration, but with the T30s it is awesome. I've never seen Cinebench run and the orange bar pretty much stays where it is from start to finish with all cores staying well below TJmax even before undervolting. Thanks for the great review.
I have AMD 5800x and its known to run very hot under 100% load. With H100x in 10min of Cinebench multicore test it went up to max 83-86°C but i switched to Noctua NH-D15 chromax and with same test and settings(also same room temperature) it runs max at 79-81°C. I think you should redo the test same settings, same case for identical airflow(same amount of fans) and try NH-D15 with both fans. In my case it did lower the temperature with NH-D15 and it runs almost at 4.7GHz while the boost with H100x reached max 4.622. I also noticed that idle temps are also lower on NH-D15. Both setups are quite loud at 100% load.
I love the d15 and wholeheartedly recommend it. I did the test a few times and with my setup and a relatively quiet fan curve I had better results with the H100x. I'm currently running a 3900x 12c 24t and it runs very well, boosting upto 4.7ghz on select cores. This is due to adequate cooling.
I’ve ended getting the NH-D15S for replacing my Corsair h100i and it was a day and night difference. Works pretty silent and cools way better my Ryzen 7 5800X.
Noctua is huge. I just bought the h100x since it was at a reduced price, but I really have no need for it :) with my ryzen 7 1800x. I may buy a new cpu and motherboard to match it 😁
I've upgraded to a ryzen 9 5900x so the corsair h100x is working really nicely now 😁. Max temps I'd say around the 80 degree mark. Typically around 50-60 degrees though
I have the same doubt. Mounting Mine right now and dont wanna plug the sata. I think It is only required If you plug the fans on the built in splitter. I Will find out soon ...

Oh dear.... The pump is below the top of the radiator. It's basic stuff really, and a couple of big UA-camrs have already covered this. If you believe I am incorrect, please, explain in detail. I await....
@@moonobservergilles5730 yes he does. Watch it and listen carefully. He and others say ONE thing that is very important, then look at the position of the pump on my system in relation to the top of the radiator.
