    G'day Tom ,
    Yay Team !
    Good stuff mate...
Yesterday I posted a Video you might get a giggle from...(?),
    "Nandy's Shooting Box...!"
Back in 1939 my big sister couldn't get closer to
    "Grandpa" than
    "Nandy", and she was my
    Grandfather's first
    Grandchild, so that became his
    Name...!
I was his last-born grandkid though, so I wound up with some of his Tools the walking-stick, Guns, and the Shooting-Box.
Which I finally had a Locksmith open up for me
    After having lost the key
So I reveal a sheaf of old .22 Targets dating to my 1976 Rifle Club dayze at Boarding School, and my
    Hundred year-old
    Target-Shooting
    Elbow Cups (!).
Have you ever seen a set of them ?
Wonderful bits of gear, but I've never yet met anybody else who even knew what they're for.
    Forgotten technology !
And, then, I show off a certain
    Bent Stick
    As a Movie-Prop.,
    While demonstrating the
    Box's
    Secret
    Cunning
    Actual
    Purpose,
    When lying
    Down on the
    Mound - with the
    Elbow-Cups doing their
    Thing.
Now I can take the Doors and fittings off and sand it all back and refurbish it with Danish Oil...
    Such is life,
    Have a good one...
    Stay safe.
    ;-
    Ciao !

I love working on 3.8s best engine ever made. How's your macular degen by the way? Has it improved on carnivore. I also have some optic nerve damage and vitamin b3 3 grams a day + ketovore is reversing it.

It has improved a little, but not much, but it has stopped getting any worse.

I had a problem with misfire at higher rpm on a 6.2 escalade it ended up being a bad ground.

Those Yukon's and Escalades have bad grounds galore!

When ever I see a coil or ICM failure the repair includes checking, cleaning engine ground. New components might handle a weak ground but will be stressed to fail sooner.

Are new ac Delco or Delphi units worth anything or are they also cheaply made junk?

I don't know. I just get mine from the junk yard.

Middle one is the one that goes bad most of time😂

If a waste spark occurs during the exhaust on another cylinder, would that not help in some ways to burn off hydrocarbons? HxCy DVD:)

    • @frugalprepper
      @frugalprepper  11 місяців тому +1

No, there is nothing left that is burnable by a spark. That is what the Catalytic converter is for. Plus it fires at the top of the stroke, after it has pushed all the exhaust out.

@@frugalprepper Understood, so just a waste in the lifespan of the coil...ummm thanks DVD:)

      @frugalprepper  11 місяців тому +1

Not really it is just one coil with two outputs. It may shorten the life, but not all that much. It's a common problem I have seen before, but the 3.8L GM motor is the most produced motor in the entire history of automobiles.
